KELLEHER'S CARPET

I called on Sept. 9 and told the man on the phone (Ross) what I wanted. This was at 12:55 pm. He said someone would get back to me. A week later, Sept. 16, at 4:30 pm I called back to inquire why no one had contacted me. He said no one called because it was too cold. It was cool on the 16th, but was hot on the 9th, AND we had more hot weather forecasted. Over the weekend, Bob Kelleher left a phone message that the carpet I wanted would cost $386 to install. I called back on Tuesday, the 20th at 2:15 pm and got an answering machine. I left a message agreeing to the estimate and asked him to go ahead as soon as possible. About another week went by with still no word or work, so I went down to the store. More about the bad weather (I was thinking if they just wait a little more it will be snowing and they won't have to do it at all). I told him that the weather forecast was still favorable. Today is Friday, October 7. I called about 1 pm. Still same story - weather. I told them to forget it, I'll just wait until spring! Sounded good to them. My opinion, they didn't want the job. Perhaps it was too small. But why waste ONE month of my time? I'm always too nice and try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. They may do good work, but that I will never know because I will never call them again. I called another store and they were THRILLED to hear from me. They are ordering the carpet as we speak, and will install it the minute it arrives. I will submit a report on their efforts once the job is done.
