Everything was done to perfection. These guys were kind, courteous, and professional. I would recommend Joe, Mike, and the other guys to anyone without hesitation.
Description of Work: Needed several things done around my house. These guys installed doors, trim, and base molding throughout my newly renovated home; built a beautiful deck; installed a stone veneer on the backside of my kitchen island; installed tile backsplash in kitchen; built a custom wine rack into end of kitchen island; and several other small tasks.

I contacted Joe at Do It Right Contracting in late March of 2016 for an estimate on my kitchen remodel. After receiving several estimates I knew this company would be the perfect fit for my project. From the first meeting at my estimate he was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and took the time to address any and all questions I had. He was able to speak on materials, labor costs, time frames, start dates, work to be performed and even had some insider tips on how I could save money on my materials. I signed the contract and scheduled the work. They arrived on the scheduled start date and began the daunting task of demolishing my kitchen. I was told by friends and family how dirty my home would be while under construction but was extremely surprised. These men took meticulous measures while in my home. They were constantly cautious and constantly cleaning making sure everything was clean and out of the way every evening when they would leave. They worked accurately and quickly to get my kitchen back in working order. (Although it was my excuse to eat take out) They finished the work ahead of schedule and my kitchen now belongs in a showroom. It is by far my new favorite room in the house. The bonus: because of his fair pricing I was under budget and hired him to do my roof as well. That was another pleasant but shocking surprise as I had estimates for my roof in the past but his price was below the competitor's with a 30 year guarantee. They completed my new roof in a single day again taking great care to keep the perimeter of my home meticulous. They provided all permits and dumpsters saving me money yet again. I will never have another contractor work on my home as long as Joe and his crew are around.

A 3 to 5 day job turned into a 5 1/2 week job. Approximately $1200 - $1500 over budget. Would work one day, not the next. Many days left the job early, never worked late to complete anything. Would call the next morning 5 minutes before start time to say he was not coming (actually wife does all the phone calls.... Joe never talks to your face). Left the job and sent two replacement workers who were just as bad. Parts that were to be reinstalled got broken and parts missing. Continuously had to do my own running for "supplies" as well as him returning to stores for supplies (being charged to my credit card).... alot of money added up on "little things". Would do work and THEN say it would cost this much... no warning! Joe Eible will "nickel and dime" you to death!! Very unprofessional! A lot of waste... would cut one trim about 6 inches short where I couldn't return it.... found about 15 of these instead of him just cutting one strip multiple times for small pieces. Same thing with large 4x8 tileboards... many cut without using smaller scrap pieces. One bathroom was "gutted"... everything was out and instead of him placing a whole piece of tileboard behind sink to protect wall, he cut out around sink leaving about 2 ft exposed sheetrock!!!! With many sheets of tileboard available. Many returns which I had to take back... over bought quite a bit! Piled garbage in yard instead of taking some everyday (including broken mirror).... it was a fight to get garbage cleaned up and hauled away by him. I had to keep final payment until ALL garbage was removed!! He was supposed to move on to two other jobs... garage roof repair and 10 x 16 shed tear down and rebuild.... but lost the job.... I didn't trust him any more and work ethich was lousy.

I contacted Do It Right Contracting just after Thanksgiving for an estimate to remodel my kitchen. The owner, Joseph Eible came to my home and was very professional and courteous. He was very thorough in his explainations and even gave me some good ideas for my remodel. I hired them a few days later. Joe and his crew showed up every day on time and worked diligantly until my project was done. They cleaned up after themselves daily and were polite in my home. He even took the timet to go shopping with me to help with choosing my materials answering every question I had. The project took about 12 days to complete and I am completely overwhelmed at the amazing job that Joe and his crew did in my kitchen. I cannot wait to call them this spring for a new deck!!!!!

Joe started the work. He was paid in full, up front, he needed money for materials. I suspect he has credit or cash flow issues. We agreed that the work needed to be timely as I was waiting to have an appraisal for a mortgage. We assessed the damage and agreed to use pressure treated replacement wood as there was water and carpenter ant damage. I got a call at my home and my work that they were leaving early Tuesday due to rain. Joe had also said he would be responsible to get rid of the debris, so on Tuesday night he loaded 12 bags and set them to the curb for my trash collectors. He made the bags so heavy that they could only be dragged, and there were boards sticking a foot out of the bags eliminating any chance that they could be taken. I came home on Tuesday night, 6/12, to find the beam wood in my garage. I came home at lunch, Wednesday, 6/13, to find the beam installed and asked if it was pressure treated wood. He said no, that there were no 20 foot pressure treated boards locally, it would take 7 days to get them. I asked if it would have been smart to use 2 10 footers.. Joe made eye contact with his worker, almost a wink, and harmoniously they said it would be weaker He had called me a day earlier to tell me he was leaving early for the day, due to rain, but did not contact me to tell me he had substituted regular wood. He had my home phone, he had all Tuesday night to inform me of the change in plan. I had to return to work. I was upset and didn't know what to do I went back to work, but then left again to come home early. I came home early and voiced my concerns. Joe said that for 300 dollars labor, if I bought new trex deck boards, 30.00 each, that he would take them up and install flashing to keep the regular wood dry. There was flashing on my contract, I was confused. He also suggested that he could caulk the deck boards and that would keep the water out, but it wasn't a long term solution. I asked him to do the caulk for now. I was on my way to my second job and he said I would have to get the caulk that night, and I would have to pay for it, and he would apply it Thursday morning while he finished the job. The caulk he asked me to get was 54.00, 5 tubes to fill the J channel, and 5 tubes of clear to seal the deck boards. I showed him that they did not take the bags, that wednesday am is garbage collection. He said he would take them the next week. I waited for him Thursday morning. He was late. I came home at lunch on Thursday, he was apparently finished and gone. It was like they couldn't get out of there fast enough. My appraisal was done Friday.. I changed my mind and called and asked if I pulled up all the deck boards if he could bend and install flashing, he agreed for the same 300.00. He also knew I had a family party for the 4th of july, and needed the flashing done to wash the deck. We ended up going round and round for the next 2 weeks. The next job he was doing he was getting a dumpster, but it became too full and my garbage sat on my frony lawn. 4 appointments were made and broken to put in the flashing, remember, the deck boards wetre all ready up. One day, I took vacation time to go home for 2:30 appt, at 3 he called and said he wasn't coming. I WAS REALLY SUSPICIOUS NOW. I PLACED A CALL TO BROJACK LUMBER, 4 MILES FROM MY HOME AND THEY HAD 20 FOOT PRESSURE TREATED WOOD IN STOCK, JOE HAD LIED!! THE MOST DISHEARTENING PART IS THAT THE BOARDS WERE JUST 25.OO EACH, AND TO A CONTRACTOR, EVEN LESS. HE SCREWED THE JOB FOR 75.00, WHICH IS WHAT LEADS ME TO BELIEVE HE EITHER DOESN'T CARE, OR DOESN'T HAVE CREDIT OR CASH FLOW. 75 DOLLARS. I asked him to deal with the garbage, he said he would use the dump. Then, he said it was too expensive, but he could get a dumpster, and we would share. I could use the rest of the dumpster for other stuff. Joe's idea of sharing was he would pay 50 and I would pay 125. I was so tired of the garbage on the front lawn, I agreed, but his portion filled 1/2 of the dumpster. The dumpster and Joe arrived on Friday, 6/29. He had to pay the dumpster people cash? hmmm. He was there to do the flashing. We filled the dumpster. I was on the deck. He vanished. I got a call 1/2 later that his worker was injured. I was told I could use the money to hire someone else. CONTRACTORS DO NOT FINISH OTHER CONTRACTORS WORK!!! I got vinyl flashing and finished the deck. I decided to be double safe and recaulked the deck boards. But, funny thing, I only needed 2 tubes of clear caulk to seal the deck boards, so he even got me for 8 free tubes of caulk that I bought,as out of the 10 I bought, he left me none. Joe is a fast talker. He uses the words code and contract like he means them. Structural is a big word for him too, and he emphasizes that he is like the only skliied contractor in structure and uses that to put other contractors down The contract was meaningless. There was no flashing done that was in there. There was no drip edge. There were no new lag bolts. I checked the lag bolts that hold my deck to the house. He has taken them out to do the work and was supposed to stagger and replace, not done. Worse, from going in and out, there was a 20 foot stretch where they were all stripped and holding nothing, nice.My future plans include taking him to the local magistrate to file a claim for breach of contract and to get him to either put in pressure treated wood or get money back to hire someone for same. I also intend to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau
Description of Work: Do It Right Contracting, AKA Joe Eible, was hired to replace the 3 board, 2" by 10" x 20 foot beam that ran above my garage door. It had been rotted due to water and carpenter ants. We discussed replacement with pressure treated wood as it is moisture and carpenter ant resistant, no brainer. He was to install flashing, drip edge, and Lag in a new ledger board. He knew I needed the work done by Friday, 6/15, to get an appraisal for a new mortgage, He aggressively sought the work, and he started early in the week.
