On Jan 20, 2015 we contracted with PRO Installations to install a new roof on our house. My wife was contacted by one of their salespeople while she was in the Robinson, PA Walmart, we had a salesman come to our house, we liked what we heard, and we signed with them. They had paperwork alleging an A+ rating with the BBB. Due to the weather, the installation did not occur until March, which was fine with us. The first problem occurred then. The installer that came out was Mast Construction, Johnathan Mast owner, 814-221-0729, e-mail mastamishconstruction29412@gmail.com). We contracted with Pro Installations and not with Mast Construction, and we were not told that the work would be sub-contracted. The roof looked OK but I was not about to get onto the roof at age 61 to look at it closer. In June we developed a leak in our upstairs bath ceiling. Calling PRO Installations got us a ringing phone. They were no longer working from Walmart - the space is now filled with another business. I finally contacted Mast Construction to see if they could do anything. I received one return e-mail and then nothing. Finally I called another contractor, Know Remodeling, who came out yesterday. The immediate repairs cost $1,000 and I was told that this was one of the worst jobs that he had seen. Future repairs that are needed will cost in excess of $1,200. He also said that due to the sloppy and simply wrong install, the manufacturer will not cover the roofing material. So - I have a roof that still needs major work, the Contractor cannot be contacted, the sub-contractor cannot reliably be contacted, and the roofing material is not under warranty 6 months after it was installed. I am willing to sue PRO Installations, but my man from Know Remodeling said that it would be a waste of time and money if PRO installations has outstanding judgements that are not being paid now. I filed a BBB complaint and they finally replied saying: This message is in regard to your complaint submitted on 11/15/2015 against PRO Installations. Your complaint was assigned ID 10953414. The Bureau has decided to close this complaint and note that the business did not respond to the complaint. This complaint will be reflected in the company's Business Review with the following language: "The company failed to respond either to the consumer or the Bureau to the complaint(s) filed." Please feel free to contact us with any further questions. Regards, Joyce Palmer Edwards The Better Business Bureau

This company was very methodical the entire way through the process. They kept us in the loop on progress, and made sure to be upfront on any issues. There were no "surprises" with the final bill - any extra charges were only because I may have had a little bit more of an expensive taste than the original budget allowed for (and even THAT wasn't so bad!) The owner stated to me that he may work a little bit more slowly than others, but he likes to make sure that it looks right the first time. I heartily agreed with him! It did take a little bit longer than the original "3-5 days" that we were quoted by the marketing persona, but the end product was well worth the wait. I'd like to add that not only did they do the job as contracted, but the owners went above and beyond by wire-scraping and repainting my 1927 radiator cover, adding a third grab bar at my request (not in contract), and cleaned up the trim on the outer side of the bathroom door. I'm truly looking forward to using this company again when I'm ready to redo my kitchen within the next year or so.
Description of Work: They gutted the bathroom, and replaced everything in it. They also installed a vent to get rid of excess moisture, and safety grab-bars in the tub. The company did 99.99% of the leg work, and made it very easy on us from start to finish!
