Basement Lifeguard was referred to us by a friend who had work done by them and was very satisfied. Mike was punctual and very professional. We called him for an estimate for basement waterproofing, He was the first of 3 contractors that came out. He spent a lot of time with us and was very educated in the basement waterproofing methods. The only reason we did not choose him to do the work, was because we found another company that used a different form of waterproofing. We would definitely use him in the future.

I like the fact that Mike himself came out for every step of the process, including the estimates. He was always available and helpful with any questions we had. Very quality work and done on schedule.

They were very personable. The owner came out and spent a lot of time there. He also supervised his worked during the work. They did the work for a good price and it was excellent service.

We did our due diligence and got proposals from 2 other companies. One had a lot of reviews and most were good, but their price was a little salty. The other tried to tell me why I should hire them by bad-mouthing his competitors. A real turnoff. The deciding factor was finding Basement Lifeguard?s BBB rating at A+, but even more importantly, they were the only ones to have 0 complaints. None at all. Our house is a bit older and the foundation promised to be tricky. Mike reassured me that there would be no problems and the crew and he got the job done on time. I felt better knowing that it was being handled with the owner onsite. We?ve been getting hammered with rain since then and Hurricane Sandy left us a good bit too. It?s a great test for the system, which passed with flying colors, not allowing even a drop in our basement. Now the process of remodeling can be started with no concerns at all.

The first thing I liked was the comfortable approach Mike had when he introduced himself and listened to our concerns. He explained everything to us and had a proposal right away. There was no pressure and he let us think about the decision and call him with follow up questions. He knew exactly what to predict for the job which went just as he planned. He and his crew showed up right on time and had the job done in good time. The men were very polite and professional. In the end, the basement was cleaner than when they started. They are even coming back in the fall to do the remodeling. All in all, I would absolutely recommend them to any and all!
