Description of Work: American Remodeling Replaced the entire roof on our home as well as our shed out back. The 3 man team completed the job in 2 days. |The owner, Jason himself, double checked his teams work a week or so later & noted a few items to be resolved and did so quickly the next day. |I will use this company again. They were our final estimate to add to the pile & seriously came in at the best price (others ranged from $9,800 up to $20,000)with the best warranty of 50 years transferrable to another home owner. |

Description of Work: Good presentation price way above local standards failed to mention any additional discounts such as Senior Citizen or referrals. very high and pushy sales tactics.

Description of Work: Miller Mechanical and American Remodeling worked together on 2 projects...one being replacement of a heating system by Miller (an excellent job), American did a remodel of a bathroom into a laundry room. During these jobs a very old galvanized bucket was removed from our basement. I guess it was for removal of garbage. It was not returned. I had recently purchased this item for gardening projects. I don't know which company took it. The laundry room was done in 2 days and not completed satisfactorily. American did this job. Cabinets are not properly aligned, a filler board was added in a shoddy manner. No molding was used to cover gaps where the cabinets did not meet ceiling. and an electrical outlet was not installed flush with the wall. One man was left to do most of the work alone because his helper was off sick. The lone worker was told he had to finish this job that day to go on to another project the next day. Sharon at American did not return our calls and on April 1 I broke a hip and was hospitalized for 3 weeks. I am just now able to pursue getting this job finished right. I also had discussed painting the room as part of the job, but we ended up doing t ourselves so they could move on. I later discovered this job was not put into the contract. My bad... |As an added insult, Just Cabinets were to hold our cabinets for us until he contractor picked them up. We had informed this store that the contractor would be paying for them when they started the job. We asked American's men to pick up the cabinets at the start of the job but they put it off until the end. Just Cabinets had a sale going on and sold our cabinets that were to be held in storage for us. We had to drive 30 miles to the next available store to pick up their leftovers so the job could be done. I am thoroughly discussed with Just Cabinets and American Remodeling.

Description of Work: Repairs to the front section of my roof. They did a good job on the project. Due to the weather they were backed up on other jobs so it was a little over two weeks from the actual start date they have me. I had called several times to see when they were going to start the project and the secretary said they will call me the next day and three days would go by and I would call back to see again it was just bad communication on their end. Other then that they did great work.

Description of Work: When setting the appointment for an estimate, we were told that both husband and wife needed to be present. We set the appointment for a Saturday. The "area director" showed up to give an estimate. He directed the entire presentation to my husband who was in the middle of another home improvement project. Wen my husband explained to the gentleman that he should review everything with me and that I was the one who did all of the research on the products and procedure, he still continued to direct the conversation to only my husband. That was until he made reference that the roof was of such quality that I could dance in high heals on it with no trouble. On the third or fourth time my husband told him that he was busy and he needed to talk with me, the "area director" said, "yeah, but can she pull the tigger" while gesturing to me with his thumb. So, in a nutshell, even American Remodeling came in with the best price by $5000, I still wouldn't give them my business. I am a successful, educated woman that is more than capable of making a decision on the house that my husband and I own together. American Remodeling should be embarrassed about the way their "area director" offended me.
