DO NOT EVER HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!!! Everything listed above was done wrong. The door was installed backwards, no landscape fabric in the well, the well was a standard window well and not as listed in my contract, and the shrub was cut up and discarded. Trying to contact them was even worse. After 3 weeks and multiple texts and calls from me I finally got a response. But only after a nasty text from me giving an ultimatum. Scott, the "Sales Manager" finally contacted me through his office manager "Natalie" On the last day of the ultimatum, he decided too stop by. I pointed out everything that was wrong. He looked at the window well and said "Boy thats going to be a big expensive job to build a window well that size" I then pointed out, that HIS contract/field report from his estimator specifically stated "Install large window well so door can lay flat inside" The door is 32"x24", way too large for the well installed. I could see that he had no interest in redoing the job. He suggested that we just agree to leave things as they are with no other money exchanging hands. I paid $300.00 as a 20% down payment out of a total of $1500.00. I accepted the offer and decided that I would complete the job myself, knowing that I would do a much better job than they had done. This was the worst job/experience I have ever had with an Angie's List contractor. Stay as far from these people as you can!!!
Description of Work: I hired Basement Solutions LLC to install a crawlspace door under my kitchen addition. The job was to be the cut into the concrete wall, a 2' x 3' metal door, a window well that was large enough to allow the door to lie flat in it, 4" of stone over landscape cloth in the bottom of the well and a shrub dug out an put aside so that I could replant it.
