Max C. Smith Company

Although tankless water heaters are touted on many home shows, there are only a few companies in Pittsburgh who supply and service them. When our 15+ year old water heater failed, we had difficulty finding a company to service it. (The original supplier was no longer in business.) Max C. Smith Company sent someone to review the problem the same day. He advised us that he would have to send the failed part to the company for repair, but he couldn't advise us on whether they would be able to repair it or how long it would take. This information was consistent with what we had found online. He recommended the installation of a new, more energy efficient model. We agreed. The unit was ordered and installed within the next two days. We found their crew to be very professional and service oriented. We felt that the price for the unit was comparable to what we found on the internet (in other areas of the U.S.). The price for the service was fair. They expedited the order and installation as much as possible. We were so impressed that we established a service contract for the water heater, furnace and A/C.

$95 just to walk in the door. The rest was parts and labor which was quoted before he made the repairs. Technician explained everything.
