carpet installation, flooring contractor
+ 0 moreThis guy bent over backwards for us! He showed us samples of his recommendation - "lock in place flooring" - and gave his honest opinion about quality and costs. He was invited to come over and measure - he was prompt and very exacting. Over the course of developing an estimate he visited twice with samples and to ask question about color choices. Every time he came over he was on time and professional. The new floor was installed about 6 weeks after we first approached him. The installation of the new floor took exactly as long as he said it would, it cost exactly as must as he estimated, and looks great!
Description of Work: Adopting a dog has it's perils - especially when the new mutt develops an affinity to linoleum! The country kitchen/dinning room looked like a war zone! After surveying the damage we decided to keep the dog but replace the floor. Evendale Carpet (542 Neimond Rd, McAlisterville, PA 17049 (717) 694-3051) was the first contractor we approached - based on word of mouth recommendations. We were guided through the maze of 'floating floors' products and guided to Alloc - a tongue and grove floor with aluminum locking edges. The strength of the locking system impressed us but it was the warranty that won us over. The job entailed prepping the existing floor for the 'floating floor' - removing and marking the molding - cutting and placing the new floor - and re-installing the molding.
