He asked me to email him the specifics and said he'd get back to me but I never received a response. Not evento say he wasn't interested. I was left hanging and was very disappointed as this was my first experience usingsomeone from Angie's list.
Description of Work: I had called regarding some needed electrical repairs.

I contacted Angies list for the names of 3 A rated electricians in my area and left messages for each of them One called the next day to tell me he was sorry but was too busy to help me out, another never returned my call, and I left a message at 724-290-0314 (Nelmark Electric). Mark Cukovich stopped by soon after I had left a message to see what kind of work we had for him. He was working at another job in my area and decided to stop by to see if we were at home. He let us know when he could start work and he came when he said he would. He had his son helping him put in the fixtures for the lights in the garage and his son helped put up the complicated new smoke detector. He traveled to both houses and took on new problems without any complaints or problems. I feel very confident that we can sell our previous home with no worries about it passing inspection. Both Mark and his son were very friendly, dependable, and skilled. I will be sure to call them again when I need help with any electrical work and would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family.
Description of Work: Mark Corrected a problem with short wires in a switch at our new house and installed a 220 plug for our garage heater. He installed a new smoke detector with direct wire and a battery back up that we couldn't figure out; and installed 6 fluorescent fixtures in our garage. At the old house he inspected the wiring and supplied a grounding bar to isolate grounds from neutrals as required for sub panels and supplied the correct 4 conductor cable to feed a sub breaker panel to make sure that the wiring woud meet all electrical codes for service equipment.

After purchasing an aboveground pool in mid-August, I discovered that electrical code required the installation of a 20 amp GFCI dedicated circuit for the pool pump. After researching Angie's List, I contacted three electricians for estimates. My house is 33 years old and only has 100 amp service, so I requested a separate quote on upgrading to 200 amp service (I assumed that since most new homes are 200 amps, that I needed to upgrade). The first two electricians were very knowledgable and their estimates were reasonable. The estimate for the 200 amp service upgrade was over $2,000, which I expected. When Mark came for his estimate, I showed him the work needed for the pool, and then I asked about the 200 amp service upgrade. He gave me a quizzical look and asked two questions: 1) Are you planning any additions? (no) and 2) Are you experiencing any problem with the current service panel with breakers tripping? (no). Mark explained that while my 100 amp service was low compared to new construction, the fact that I've had no trouble with the breakers tripping indicated that the service was adequate for the moment and there was no real reason to upgrade to 200 amp service until I needed it. While the other two electricians were more than happy to give me an estimate for work that I WANTED, Mark took the time to see what I actually NEEDED, and advised me accordingly. Mark said he would be happy to take my money if I really wanted the upgrade (who wouldn't?), but he saw it as being totally unnecessary. For someone to talk a potential customer out of a $2,000+ job shows that they have alot of integrity, and I selected Mark on the spot. As an added bonus, he tied for the lowest estimate! Installation day came and Mark showed up precisely when he said he would. He had two helpers with him and they went immediately to work. When I got the estimates from the other two electricians, they wanted to run plastic conduit out the house and above my covered patio near the pool. Mark, on the other hand, ran the conduit underground from the house to the pool pump. When I asked why he didn't just do it aboveground, he replied "That would look sloppy and I don't do sloppy work". Note: the other electricians were going to charged more if they ran it underground. Everything went smoothly and the job only took a couple hours. The outlet looks great, especially since the conduit is underground. Mark was a joy to work with. While the other electricians who gave me estimates were knowledgable and reasonably priced, Mark's integrity in explaining why I didn't need a 200 amp upgrade sealed the deal. I'll definitely be using mark again if I need electrical service in the future, since I know he'll explain what I NEED, and not just validate what I WANT.

The experience went very well. He was very professional, knowledgeable and nice to deal with. He was very reliable and came when he said he would. I don’t think anyone could go wrong using him.
Description of Work: We had him come twice, once in August 2010 to do the rough-in wiring for our new kitchen and again in March 2011 to do all the finishing electrical work.
