Mike Goetz and his crew completed a deck replacement for us. It took about one week. All the men were courteous, competent and professional. Project cost was $13k. Several unexpected kinks were encountered and resolved by the crew. The way the old deck was attached to the house was outdated. The concrete walk below the deck was not quite in alignment. These were corrected. I recommend this contractor for any deck work needed.

The demo and creation of the new deck went very well. Mike and his crew arrived early, and were very thorough about details. He was also very flexible with regards to design of the new deck, and could be in comunication quickly and easily. I was very satisfied with the final result, and would hire again if needed.

We could not be more pleased with our overall experience of working with Mike and his team throughout our deck transformation. Mike met with us on several occasions prior to the project and discussed all of the options to give us the perfect new deck for our family. The team was very pleasant, professional and thorough during this entire project. They arrived at 8:00 AM and worked efficiently every day. They cleaned up everything at the end of the each day, and especially at the end of the project. Mike and Steve Goetz and their crew were wonderful! I contacted Mike in August to get an estimate. He responded to my email within several hours. From that point on he was quick with responding, very polite, helpful, and not pushy. He told us he was booked until end of March. They actually came 2 weeks early. From the start of the project until it was finished every one of the guys were prompt, courteous, and hard working. They even worked a full day on Saturday. I would highly recommend Goetz contracting! Great guys who are very professional! We will use them again for our future projects!!

Michael was incredibly great to work with and his team was very professional and excellent at what they do. Their attention to detail was impressive and they were not satisfied until I was satisfied. At one point, early in the project, Michael noticed the rough-ins for the half bath were not to code and he came on a Saturday by himself and spent most of the day reconfiguring the plumbing to make it work...and he did this without charging me an additional fee. My kids and I will enjoy this new space for many years. I will definitely be contacting Michael for future work on my house.

Goetz Contracting was amazing in all respects, After working with Mike Goetz on possible options and his expertise both in design and finances, we were quite pleased with our choices. Working in 0 degree temperature they were able to take out large portions of a brick wall and the plaster behind it and beautifully install 2 sets of double windows. Rainy weather was also a challenge, but they were able to work on inside projects at those times. Communication with us concerning the project timing, costs, needed changes, etc was excellent. Additionally, it was a pleasure to work and talk with Mike, Steve, and John who are such positive and cheerful people, as extremely skilled and responsible in what they do. We were always confident with what they were doing, knowing that they would go the "extra mile" in completing the job. We really look forward to warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful deck. We really enjoy working with this group of builders and would hire them again without question!

I had a deck that needed power washed and stained annually. I'm not as young as I used to be. Michael and his staff were wonderful to work with. Very responsive, scheduled the work timely, polite, and clean up beautifully.

Love our new, updated outdoor space. Mike and team removed our existing wood deck along with the old posts and created a new slightly larger deck with grill bump out and stairs. Mike was professional and genuine. His price was in between a few other estimates we received, but we felt most comfortable moving forward with Mike. You get what you pay for! He talked through everything with us, made suggestions and estimated several options to try to help keep us in budget. He and his team did not disappoint. Great attention to detail and the guys that worked on the deck were friendly and knowledgable and always willing to stop to say hi the kids and dog that were always curious about their work. We were initially wearing about spending the money to add stairs to the deck, but so glad that we did and that we chose Goetz Contracting to do it. Photos to come in the spring!

In our first meeting, Mike was on time and listened intently to my concept, making suggestions that improved upon it while reducing costs for both of us. He was also up front and made very accurate estimates of the wait time and how long the project would take to complete. The build phase started the first Friday of December and lasted one week. The high during that week was in the thirties but the crew worked tirelessly and without complaints. Steve, Matt, and Mike were courteous and friendly the whole week. The finished product is the sturdiest deck I've ever stood on and came out looking better than I could have imagined. I hope to work with them again on future projects.

I hired GOETZ CONTRACTING to renovate our deck. Initially, I felt that I agreed to a bit “exaggerated” estimate. But being busy I agreed to it. I no longer think I overpaid. These people are truly professional, hardworking and eager to please. The crew of 4 was on the job promptly at 8 AM and worked nonstop until 5 PM (sometimes even later) every single day. Sometimes it rained, but they would install a little tent above the area and continued working. They work very well together. They help each other. They like each other. They are like that because they truly like what they do. There was a problem with the quality of some lumber delivered by the lumberyard. I pointed it out to Michael Goetz only after the lumber was already installed on the deck. Although, they were obviously a little upset with the fact that they have to remove it, exchange it, wait for new delivery, etc., etc., they did it. Michael and I estimated that the job should take 5 days. But with the lumber exchange it actually took 9 days. After the last screw was in place, they took the time to clean everything and even pressure washed the newly constructed deck. In the end, all they wanted to know was if my family was happy with the job. We are! I highly recommend GOETZ CONTRACTING.

We were very pleased with the whole process from taking down the old deck to building a beautiful new deck.

We couldn't be more pleased with Mike and his team. They went over and above to make sure the project was perfect and exceeded our expectations. Let's start with the small things.. the guys were nice and respectful and every single day cleaned up the work site. We had complements from multiple neighbors on cleaning up at the end of each day. The design.. we had an idea of what we wanted but Mike took the idea and turned it into an amazing work of art. Detail... Mike and the team were precise in everything that they did. From digging deep enough, putting down and tamping the limestone, to lining and laying the stone and putting up the wall. Precision! Surprise.. the gas fire place is amazing and puts out so much flame / heat. We've gotten so many compliments and love spending time out there with friends and family! It was definitely worth the money - although not the lowest or highest of the quotes. Mike also designed the patio in such a way that we will be able to put the deck in when ready. You can't go wrong with these guys.

I cannot say enough about the quality of work Goetz Contracting provides. From my initial email to project completion Mike Goetz was extremely professional, responsive, fair and innovative. His workers, which include his brother, were very hardworking, but more importantly carry a genuine passion for their craftsmanship to create truly remarkable projects. My original contract with Goetz began very small and has grown considerably because I refuse to hire anyone else. Goetz Contracting absolutely delivered, transforming my house into a beautiful home, and my family is incredibly grateful.

Mike was very prompt in providing an estimate for the work and specific details on the work. He worked with us to reach a design we wanted. The work was completed in an efficient manner and his employees were very professional and caring of our property. The deck is beautiful and the patio is quite functional while complementing the deck. We have recommended their work to others who have admired our deck.

Goetz Contracting is the best. Their workmanship is exemplary. They are professional and think of the details. When we moved, it was an obvious choice for us to use Goetz again for another deck. And again, the deck is outstanding. It looks like the deck should have always been part of the house!

We are very pleased with our new deck/patio. Many contractors didn't call us back or didn't give us quotes in a timely manner but Mike quickly came over and met with us and gave us a quote on the same day. He started right on schedule and communicated with us throughout the process. Changes came up both on our end and his but he was reasonable. We were especially happy that his brother, Steve, was always on site working if Mike wasn't and there was the same crew day after day, all friendly and professional. (Our neighbor had a project at the same time with a competitor and their contracter sent different guys daily-some of whom would ask the homeowner what they were there to do! and disappeared days on end-none of this nonsense with Goetz). Overall, we recommend and will use again.

We are very pleased with the outcome. The deck and the patio are beautiful. The crew was very professional, friendly, and responsive. They were very efficient and cleaned up daily. Couldn't be more pleased. We would recommend them, and would definitely use them again.

Everything went very well. Estimate was provided in a timely fashion, and came in at a price I was happy with. Communication was very good all throughout the work, and the work was also completed in a timely fashion. All the workers were very friendly. At no time did I become anxious about any aspect of the job. Would hire again with no hesitation.

Goetz Contracting is an extremely professional company that prides themselves on customer service and provides a high quality of work. We recently needed to have the porch, gutters, and railings in front of our house replaced. Michael and his team were honest, easy to work with and have great attention to detail. The communication, and constant follow up by Michael and his team turned this difficult project into an enjoyable one. I would HIGHLY recommend their services and will definitely use them when it is time for our next project.

We reached out to about 10 companies to submit a bid for building a 2nd story deck for us. Mike from Goetz Contracting was the first one to get back to us within a matter of minutes. Some of the companies got back to us later that day or week and some didn't even get back to us at all. After discussing our ideas for building a Trex deck, Mike was able to provide a quick estimate. However, we wanted to wait until we received few more estimates before picking on a bid. During that time, Mike still stayed in contact while asking if we had any further questions. He was never pushy and while talking we decided on a few more adjustments on the project. We later decided for Mike to come out to review what we wanted and to firm up the bid. Mike's final estimate was fair and similar to others so we decided to go with them. Mike gave us an estimate project start date and also gave us a head's up a few days beforehand. Before the start of the project, Mike took care of the permits while working with the inspector and let us know about an adjustment we needed to make on the stairway. He let us know on 2 possible solutions and new estimates before we made a decision and proceeded with the build. Mike's crew started on the specified start date and were there before we even left the house for work which was nice to see. They were always very pleasant and would always give us updates when we saw them. They had to work a few days in the cold and/or the rain but always made great progress. There was a bump in the road early on while digging the holes for the deck footings. They hit solid rock and took them most of a day to dig the holes. They also had to reroute some piping in order to dig holes for the stairs. The crew never really rushed what they were doing and they were very meticulous in their build as if they were building it for themselves. It was very re-assuring that they were building us a great deck. The build took about 2 weeks, slightly later than the estimated timeline but it was due to the weather and digging holes for a full day. Mike always wanted to make sure we were happy with how things were going throughout the whole project. Our whole family is extremely happy with the final result and are looking forward to using it for years to come. We highly recommend working with Mike and the team and will most likely work with them when we finish our basement in the future.
