Unfortunately I have to choose a rating but it needs to be a zero!!! Do not recommend this guy!! He is a scammer!!! He charged a service fee saying it is not covered under warranty!! After speaking with the company, it is covered!! He said he was ordering parts to fix washer but after I called GE they said he didn’t order any and canceled the req# saying I cancelled with him!! GE is reimbursing me the service charge but this guy should not be representing any company!! He is a scammer and unprofessional!!!

Unfortunately I can't give zero stars. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with him, not my choice as he was sent by Choice Home Warranty. He was completely incompetent and did not know what he was doing. He didn't even have tools to perform his job. He actually asked my wife to borrow her hair dryer to try to unfreeze our ice machine which wasn't even frozen to begin with. He is completely unprofessional, unprepared, and unqualified to work on appliances. Not only that, he lied and double charged me for my service fee. Now I'm a over month into a battle to get the money back that he took from me by lying and neither him nor Choice Home Warranty has been any help. Stay away from him, don't let him in your house and certainly don't trust a word that comes out of his mouth.

I would give this guy no stars if it were an option... He is the Worst repair guy I have ever encountered. Choice Home Warranty sent him out last year for my oven that wouldn't heat. He had NO tool with him, was in dress clothes and had his girlfriend with him. After looking at the oven and was unable to locate the heating coils he stated that the oven would need a control panel and numerous other parts. CHW would not cover it and offered us $350. for our $2100. oven. I called another company and all it was was a reset button that needed to be reset. Unbelievable!!! Yesterday he came to repair my microwave. He was visibly impatient with having to repair the microwave when he realized he would have to remove the microwave from the cabinet. He tried to access the fuse without removing it from the cabinet and when I saw him doing it I stated several times "They are new cabinets please do not wrench on them and cause damage. He said he was not and continued to work on it. After he was done and left I went to put the food away in the cabinet and noticed that he not only caused damage to my new cabinet and doors but he also bent the top of the microwave. I called him to tell him of my discovery and that we wanted something done about the cabinet and he said it was "just damaged a little and it's hardly noticeable " he said that he was not going to do anything about it. I will be contacting CHW for his insurance information or I will be suing him in small claims court for the damage to the microwave and the cabinet.

Overall, I would NEVER recommend Todd's Electronics to anyone. Todd is very unprofessional, charges for FREE estimates, states he can fix something and DOESN'T. Todd won't refund my money for a job he didn't complete. Todd told me he could fix my TV and a zipdrive was all I would need. I repeatedly asked him if he was sure that $300.00 was all it would cost and Todd assured me it was. My TV still doesn't work and I am out $385.00 which includes the FREE estimate of $85.00. I contacted the BBB. Waiting for the BBB to get a response from Todd's Electronics. I also wanted to let people know Todd is advertising in the Community Courier and has multiple contact numbers and locations. Mechanicsburg, Red Lion, Felton, and Stewartstown. There are muliple phone numbers. They are as follows: 755-1246, 691-9400, 933-5164, and 318-2200. Todd's voice is on all these numbers. He screens his calls, so you have to leave a message. Will update when I get a response from the BBB.
Description of Work: On September 19th 2012, I spoke with Todd about looking at my flat screenTV. I was told the estimate would be free. Once Todd looked over my TV he said he could fix it and he charged me $85.00 (what was suppose to be a FREE estimate). Todd called me on the 20th and told me the part would cost $275.00 plus tax.. Todd told me to give him $300.00 and call it even. 1st week of October Todd downloaded a zip drive from Mitsubishi website. Todd tried to use the downloaded zip drive but it didn't work. Todd told me he would order the actual part and it would take 7-10 days. I didn't hear back from Todd so I called him on October 22nd and he yelled at me. Todd stated that it had only been a week and he hadn't checked his mail yet. On October 28th Todd brought over the zip drive and started to install it but said he had to leave to go meet his girlfriend at the bar. October 31st he called me to see if the zip drive worked. I told him no. Todd told me it was the mother board now and it would cost another $250.00 for the part it but that didn't include the tax. I refused. I told Todd I wanted my money back but he said no. Then Todd informed me that someone needed parts from a TV like mine and he would be willing to pay me for them to help me recoupe the money I paid him to fix my TV.

I was very unhappy with such a large bill. I don't know how warranty work goes but I can only assume that he already received one service call through Maytag to come look. Outrageously pricey!! Oh, by the way, it took me an hour to get my closet door back on properly. His solution you ask? Replace it. The solution for the refrigerator is to place all my food into a friends freezer/refrigerator, unplug mine overnight and allow it to defrost. Then plug it back in. I will agree with that because I did have a lot of frozen food in it which most likely, made it difficult for the air to circulate. After looking at my bill, I told him if I'd known it was going to cost me this much for so little, I would have had him put my doors on properly. But as far as using Todd's Electronics again? Never!!!! Save yourself the trouble. :(
Description of Work: I was having problems with my Maytag refrigerator which was under warranty. When I called the service number, they sent my repair order to Todd's Electronics. I called Todd to verify the appointment. At that time, I asked him if he would also take a look at my dryer since he would be here anyway. He agreed to look at both. He gave me a 2 hour window and arrived with 10 minutes to spare. He also arrived with a one year old child in a car seat. (Not really a problem, just not very professional) He spent about 10 minutes looking at my refrigerator and said that it was getting air, he adjusted some things in my freezer and proclaimed it fixed. Then he went to work on my dryer. I asked him to try to push the washing machine to the side so he could get to the dryer without pulling my closet doors off. They are very difficult to put back on. Of course, he pulled my doors off. He found a lot of lint around my idler pulley and, using my vacuum, cleaned it off. He sprayed some WD-40 and voila, it was repaired. He put the doors back up and without trying them started to prepare the bill. I tried the doors and of course, they weren't in the tracks. He tried for a few minutes and I assumed I was still on his clock so I told him I would fix it. He was here a total of one half hour then promply left me a bill for $201.40. $85.00 for a service call and $105.00 to vacuum my dryer. I realize I should have questioned this beforehand but since he was already here on warranty work, why charge me for another service charge?
