I had a few switches changed out that were loose and crackling. They were prompt in returning my call for an appointment, quick to do the work, friendly to my small children, and professional. Quick and painless! This is the second time I have had McGuire electrical out. The first time was a couple years ago, they gave me an estimate on the phone (that ended up being accurate) and had them install 3 overhead lights in our bedrooms. We were very pleased with the work I definitely would recommend McGuire to others based on these two experiences.

Contacted McGuire Electric for an estimate for phase one of the project. He was very prompt, seemed very accommodating and soft-spoken. The bid was prompt and seemed fair. Knew of the company, as Mr. McGuire lives in the immediate area. Although we did not know him personally, we had seen him regularly in the community over the last 20 years. Overall, things did not go well at all. Some of the fixtures that were used were not those specified in the architect's plan and by the time we noticed they were the wrong size, we were told they would not be changed. The amp service used was not as specified in the contract, but of a lesser amperage and when that was noticed, we were told that would not be changed either. One of the fixtures installed was broken as well. We refused to pay for the portion of the work not done to our satisfaction. Mr. McGuire became very belligerent and rude. Needless to say, McGuire Electric was NOT used to complete the rest of renovation the project.
Description of Work: As the beginning of what was to be a very large kitchen addition/remodeling project, phase-one was to install recessed/accent lighting in downstairs living room, dining room and family room prior to the demolition. This would allow access for the wiring to be done from kitchen, so minimal ceiling repair would be necessary. We had a lighting plan with specifications prepared by the architect on the project.
