I had a contractor that was remodeling my kitchen and he had to keep holding off because my appliances didn't come on time. I tried following up on what the problem was and the factory never returned my calls. I called the retailer and the distributor and it depended on the time of the day and the day of the week for which story they would tell me. I wanted a gas wall oven and that's why I ended up going with them. It has a range and a built in oven. The problem with the oven in the range is that there is no heat seal at the bottom of the oven door. When I first used it I could feel a tremendous amount of heat coming out. I took a digital thermomotor and it read 300 degrees Fahrenheit on the outside of the oven. If a child or a pet touched this or came close, they would be seriously burned. When I noted this problem, I contacted Prizer . They just told me that that ares is one of their "no touch zones"!!! Nowhere in the manual or instructions does it say there is a "no touch zone" or in the sales literature. When I contacted them the first time, they sent a service guy out and he agreed with my observations. The service guy is an employee of a local company that provides service at the request of Prizer-Painter. He went outside and had some kind of confidential conversation with Prizer. He said that they don't have anything to fix the problem with. I told him that was not a satisfactory answer and to call them back and tell them that I want a solution to the problem. I never heard back from them. I recently sent them a letter that I want it fixed. I will never buy an appliance made by BlueStar again. I am extremely displeased with the delay in receiving the appliances and the problems that they have.
Description of Work: I purchased appliances from them in January but I didn't get the appliances until April. They were supposed to be delivered within 4-6 weeks. The appliances are a BlueStar product.
