It was fine, service was good, prompt they were clean.

If you are thinking of working with the millworks department at the Harrisburg Lowe's, and you value your time and blood pressure, think again. In November, I invested significant time choosing door styles and hardware for my front door, basement door and an inside bathroom door. The bathroom door was a separate, special order, for which I paid. Subcontractors came to measure for all of the doors. In late December, the installer called to schedule a time to install the door. We chose a time. He called back and needed to change the day of the installation. We chose another date. On the day of the installation, he called to say the door was not, in fact, at the store. A few weeks later, he called again to say the door was in and that he needed to schedule a time to install it. We did. He called back and said he needed to change the date of the installation. We did. He showed up on installation day, measured the doorway and announced the door would not fit. Additionally, it was the wrong style of door. He took the door back to the store. I waited a week for the sales person from Lowe's to reach out to me. She did not. So I took my receipt to the store to get a refund. At customer service I waited 30 minutes for customer service to give me a refund, but the system did not allow them to refund labor and material, so the customer service person took my phone number and told me she would take care of it and call me later that day. It was a Friday. Never having heard from her, I called back Monday. She was gone for the day. I called back Tuesday. She came to the phone, but never addressed me. Instead, she pretended she was talking to another associate about my door, and then put me on hold without ever talking to me. My call went to the national office, at which point I was livid, lipped off to the person who answered, and she hung up on me. I called back again. My call was once again put on hold and bumped to the national number. I FINALLY got a person who stayed on the line with me while she got a manager from the Harrisburg store to figure out how to reimburse me. That is three months of my life I will never get back. By the way, they never even bothered to order the other two doors.

Three workers came out and the interaction was good. They were a few minutes early and they left the area clean.

They were punctual and they cleaned up after themselves.

Kudos to the young man at the Door and Window desk. He answered all my questions, relayed similar personal experience and gave me solid advice. He explained how to use the Hertz rent-a-van if I needed to do so and offered to load doors in the van for me. I was, however, unable to make the purchase that day, as I was on my way to work. He was very pleasant to deal with and made an otherwise run-down store seem a little brighter.

I'm happy with their installation. I'm happy with their professionalism, that I had to deal with the same person for the installation. Very helpful. They've done the job efficiently. It's a quality job. I will use them in the future.

Everyone at Lowe's is helpful. If you have a question, they're willing to answer. They're friendly. They ask if I need help putting stuff in my truck. They're very friendly oriented.
