Job was started on October 6th and it was supposed to be finished in two weeks. Seven weeks later - the week of Thanksgiving the owner informed us that they would not be coming back - they were finished. They agreed before the work was started that the workers would be at our house from 7 to 3. On the first day of the job they backed into the street sign with their truck and broke it off. We later had to have it removed. They only kept that work schedule for the first week. We were having heated floors installed and that caused the first problem. They seemed unsure how to properly install the wiring for the heat under the tile and the majority of it is now in the bathroom closet and under the vanity. Then they worked on installing the tile floor but the gout lines were not straight and the floor was visibly not level. At this point we said the work was not acceptable and the next day the worker called in sick and nothing was done. Then when they did come back - they pulled up the some of the tile to fix the floor but not all of it and tile was left laying in our front lawn. Next they worked on doing the shower but by now they were already past the two weeks that the job was supposed to take and still lot of work had to be finished. We let them cut a hole in the garage ceiling to do the plumbing. The shower leaked and it took them two weeks to fix it. In order to fix the leak they had to cut another hole in the wall. The vanity was to be installed then, however, it was damaged and that delayed the job again. After the vanity was finally installed - it also leaked. They ordered the wrong interior door so in an effect to get the job finished we agree to let them refinish our old door. When they returned the door it was such a terrible paint job with dirty hand prints on it - we actually repainted the door ourselves. They were supposed to remove our 16 inch linen closet door and replace it with a cabinet door that would match the vanity. Instead they took the front of a 15 inch cabinet and tried to put in into the opening. Now we have a 14 inch door that is in two pieces and a 11 inch opening making it extremely difficult to get into the closet. Also they did not even finish the frame. They lost the cover for the exhaust fan and we also had to clean out our garage which they were using when they were finished. All this time we were talking to the design consultant about our concerns and complaints and she finally just said the owner would speak to us. He called us only after 3 days of us making repeated attempts to speak to him. He agree to take care of 4 things to settle our disputes regarding the job. He would get us a fan cover that they lost, the instruction on how to operate the heated floor, give us the correct size door for the linen closet which then we would repair the work and get the proper screws for the mirrors. He agreed to this (saying he had personally ordered the replacement cover for the fan that day) and we have NEVER heard from him since that day. We are currently working on filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
