At first they seemed like they were doing okay with the electrical but then I noticed they seemed to waste quite a bit of the materials and Rick liked to do things his way and not really pay much attention to what we wanted. When they started the drywall it went up really quick. My husband was pleased as we know how much work it is to hang dry wall as we have hung it many times ourselves. Again I noticed quite a bit of waste like not using a piece even if they had only used a little piece of it and they had plenty left to use for another small piece. They would just start with a new piece and waste almost a whole piece of dry wall. Rick informed us that his guys didn't really like to do drywall so he had them work on something else and he started to mud a little, then had to go to another job and didn't come back for weeks. We had to hire another man to finish the drywall and he said the mesh tape they used was not the best way to go so he didn't use it for the rest of the job and showed us where it had cracked where they had used the mesh tape. When they did the drywall up the stairs they had to rip out the existing ceiling and they left 3-4 inches of insulation on the stairs for my children to walk through to get to there bedrooms. It took me hours to clean it up. They left a mess with everything they did. They didn't clean up outside either. They left piles of sawdust in the driveway where they had cut 2x4's and when they would open any materials they would leave the paper and plastic to blow aroun the yard and just leave building material scraps everywhere on the porch and ground. My husband did contracting work for years and never would have left a person's house look the way they did. He would have been embarrassed. Rick likes to do whatever he thinks is easiest he pretty much said that everytime he did something. He put an outlet up on a light switch for the living room because he said it was easier. Who wants an outlet that high up on a wall? What was I going to plug in that high up? He decided not to put outlets on one whole wall in the living room and bedroom because he said it was too much work. If it rained a little they would leave and not come back. They had started the soffit and fascia and left because it was raining and because they had not finished all the water poured in through the windows and streamed down the wall and across the entire floor to the adjacent wall soaking both walls and a 4 ft. wide section the width of the room in both the living room and the bedroom. When my husband called him he stammered a little and just said well if it makes you feel any better we will back to finish tomorrow. Also when we were not home he told my daughter not to lock the front door, even though they were working outside not in because we had already hired someone else to do the drywall, because he might need to get in to use the bathroom! WOW! I couldn't even believe it, what nerve! The only reason we had continued to use them was because we were desperate to get the house finished so we had a bedroom again. We are now looking to hire someone else to finish the project. What a nightmare!
Description of Work: R&B Started doing work for us around April 2011. At first they seemed okay other than the owner Rick didn't really communicate all that well. He decided to work by the hour ($60.00) being that we had already started the project. We needed elelctrical work, drywall, soffit & facia and some framing done. We had done most of the gutting but they had a little in the stairway.

Horrible! First off, when I got the estimate the guy priced it at around 800 dollars. When they started, the did demolition on a rainy day and didn't come back until a week later and left my house a mess. Then when they started the drywall sanding process I came home to the one man who uncovered my 52 inch screen tv that was covered with a tarp to prevent damage from dust. He had it uncovered and was watching TV land while sanding my ceiling. Then I had to sand my own bathroom b/c they said they couldn't come back for two weeks. Then, I came home the one day and there was drywall spackeling all over my furniture and hardwood floors. They spread mud all over my bathroom once I was done cleaning it and never cleaned up after themselves. I had a plumber there at the same time doing his job and he couldn't believe how bad they were. They took it upon themselves to drop in the tub in the bathroom and then charge me later for it even though I never told them to do that. When it was all said and done, after I did half of the work myself and the clean up they charged us almost 3,000 dollars. Don't let this happen to you, it was the worst contracting experience we've ever been through! Just looking out for all of you. These people serve a lot of people in the Centre and Clearfield area due to it's small size.
