 + -1 morei would rate the overall as a B subject to our experience with the contractor's response to the current underperformance on 25% of the installed capacity. i will post updates based on the maintenance response. Do get multiple quotes, visit previous customers job sites and do consider a battery backup. We are glad we did since we had emergency power during Sandy.
Description of Work: We completed a 24KW pole mounted solar installation. After reviewing multiple quotes, we settled on this company even though their pricing was on the higher end because of the impressive knowledge and competence exhibited by the managing partner Paul Stepenoff. So, a B on pricing and an A on competence. The project was executed relatively smoothly, despite a basement water infiltration due to abnormally heavy downpour during construction. This situation was handled well by the team and they assisted us with engaging their excavator to improve the front yard drainage. So an A on execution. My only disappointment is the lukewarm follow up following poor performance of two of the poles. Despite attempted adjustment 25 percent of our capacity is underperforming. The firm is now very busy with new business and despite a promise to revisit after the new year, I am yet to hear from Paul and will need to follow up. So a C on continuing maintenance and support on a project as expensive and complex as this reflects my concern and disappointment. I believe that Paul means well and has the potential to be a long term partner so I will rate them a C on this area and will revise if they step up to their responsibility. Overall, I would recommend that you give Paul a call if you are planning a solar or wind project.

 + 0 more* Took the time to sit down and answer any and all questions about federal and state rebates and AECs and technical details about solar photovoltaics and inverters. They also quickly responded to email questions. * They handled all the permitting, submission of paperwork for state and federal rebates, and permissions from the electric company. * Installation was smooth and quick and took just one day * It took longer than expected from the time we signed a contract to the date of installation (part of this was waiting for mounting brackets to arrive). This only added a week or so to the timeline. * Overall, I was very pleased with their service.
Description of Work: They installed solar panels on the roof of my house and made electrical connections to the grid.
