I wish I could give an A-/B+ for overall service. When I called for the original estimate the owner came out that same day. He asked me what I wanted done and I explained the trees were all overgrown and asked him what he recommended. After looking at all 3 trees, he recommended the 2 front trees be trimmed and the back plum topped and trimmed. He gave me a reasonable estimate of $300 on the work to be done which I agreed upon. He told me I would receive a call the day before the work was to be scheduled. However, I did not receive a call and the workers came out within 2 weeks of the estimate to do the work. Since I did not have forewarning, I was not there to supervise the job. They did a wonderful job of trimming and topping my plum in the back and they did trim 2 front trees. However, one of the trees they trimmed was my neighbor's tree and not my own. Had I received the notification call, this error could have been avoided. When I noticed the error, I called and notified the owner. He apologized and told me that he had been onsite and told the workers exactly which trees to cut. He came to double check the work and noted that indeed the wrong tree had been cut and I still had one tree in need of trimming. He told me the crew would be out that day or the next at the latest to finish the job. It took approximately 3 weeks for the crew to come out, some of that due to weather, but they eventually completed the work to satisfaction. Despite the error in trimming the wrong tree, the work was done efficiently and cleaned up without a trace. The owner was responsive to my requests and phone calls. Since I didn't have a time constraint on the job, I was satisfied when the job was completed.

I have continually hired this company for several years in a row, and I am happily seeking a quote for this year for work. They are professional and courteous. They go above and beyond what one would expect to protect the landscape, and be clean in removing all chipped wood and debris. They will use their expertise to remove the limbs and shape the trees, and will listen to me when I indicate what other branches need trimmed or removed. They consider it good customer service to stop and step back to see the whole picture, take the time to listen to me, and when needed...haul out the lines to climb up the tree again to get that one final branch that needs trimming (that is inevitably in the hard to reach location). They obviously take pride in their work, and it is fun to see the joking and support the entire crew gives each other. With their knowledge, the cherry tree in the front line is safe from the phone/power lines that go through it...and it doesn't have a large unsightly hole (since they knew exactly how to trim it to make it look nice but be safe).
