They assign a local person to come to your place. We don't remember the name of the company. The person that came was awful, not knowledgeable and unprofessional. He broke stuff rather than fix them. He was hard to get hold of. He was bad in everything you could think of. When I called SEARS, they were of no help at all. He did very strange things. When he was looking at it, he was sort of swearing and cursing. We were kind of embarrassed because we had other people there and we could hear them in the basement. After they said everything was done and had left, we went to check and found that the whole back of the washing machine was off. My husband said he could put it back together but he couldn't find the screws for it. I don't know what he did to them. I called him and told him the state of the washing machine and asked if he had taken the screws. He admitted to have taken the screws and said he would come back but didn't sound assuring. I had a feeling he was drunk and didn't know what he was saying. After he did come back and fix the washer, it shook for a while. We decided not to fight anymore.
Description of Work: I used their home warranty services. I wanted them to look at the washing machine because we thought it wasn't spinning the clothes right.

I purchased a kenmore dishwasher for 383.00. The purchase and service went fine. I paid an extra 159.00 for installation, 11.99 for a hose kit I was told I needed and 10.00 for the removal of the old dishwasher. The installation its self was ok. The installer had to keep calling his boss for instruction. Said he didn't usually do this. That made me feel real confident. Then he told me that we needed a change of pipe from pvc to copper and a cupler(spelling?) so the dishwasher could be connected and it was going to cost 90.00. My husband called the installer's boss and said he would go get the parts and boss said then you will have to install it yourself or have a plumber do it. So we paid. I was then handed some odd looking bill and it had random charges that were preprinted on the bill. If you added up the charges it came to the 270.00. If you subtract the 181.00 I paid at the store you are left with a 90.00 difference. Funny how that is the same amount it takes to replace the pvc pipe. It is a scam. I paid 383.00 for dishwasher and 270.00 for installation. What a scam and a racket! Avoid Sears. I have seen that they do this scam written all over the internet. Too bad I didn't check it out before I made the purchase.
