This was an oddball job in a unique setting- remove an old deck, and add a new deck to an 1850 carriage house to accommodate a 8x14 Endless Pool exercise spa. This involved excavating the adjacent hill, placing the removed dirt to expand the flat area of the property, constructing an L-shaped retaining wall and pouring a 16x10 concrete slab, and coordinating with the Endless Pool installers. Several contractors came to give estimates, but Matt Harris of MHCustom Designs created a finely detailed proposal that really addressed and dealt with the quirky challenges of this project. His ideas and designs were creative and thoughtful, anticipating every possible problem. The execution of the job was extremely well coordinated. The quality of the workmanship was excellent and the finished deck is beautiful and functional beyond my expectations. Matt's attention to detail is amazing and he really cares about what he and his various craftspeople are doing. His judgement and expertise are sound and vast and it was easy and pleasant to work with him. He and his crew are totally trustworthy. I would hire them again without hesitation, and I highly recommend them.

I used Him about two weeks ago. He did various projects for the house. He made some repairs and he's been doing things like that for a good many years. He also stands behind every bit of his work.

He does work throughout my house. I use him for everything. If he personally is not available to do the work or is not unable to do it he would get me someone that I have no problems with. I can have them come into my home with a great deal of comfort. It's very comforting to have that. He does all the contacting and setting up for work that needs to be done. He is actually responsible for checking on their work and guaranteeing their work. If there are any problems he would personally come out and they would either fix it or he would personally take up responsibility to fix it. One of the things that I really enjoy when he does work for me is that he constantly keeps me in touch as to what's happening. He keeps me up-to-date with his phone calls. I can't say enough about him as a person and as a professional.
