About us

We are one of the oldest family-owned and operated landscaping businesses in the Montgomery/Chester County area that has been serving the community for over 40 years. This second generation business was started by Randy Kurtz and is now being run by his son, Matthew and their crew of 8. John has a great background in hardscaping and decks, while Bryan has an excellent knowledge of irrigation and plumbing systems. Chesco specializes in hardscaping jobs and works in affiliation with Achin' Back Garden Center; the other part of the family business, owned by Saranae Kurtz and run by daughter, Kelli Yeager.

Chesco specializes in hardscaping jobs including, but not limited, to patios, walkways, sitting walls, outdoor kitchens and firepits, driveways & mailboxes, and retaining walls. They also do creative plantings and landscape design, ponds and waterfalls, decks, lighting, irrigation, mulching, clean-up, seeding and sodding lawns, lawn fertilization and seasonal applications, trimming, snow removal & salting in the winter, and more.

Work was done timely and professionally and Matt and his team were great with our changes and also had useful suggestions of their own. Overall we are happy with the project. This was the second time I had used Chesco and will call on them for future orojects without hesitation.
Description of Work: Matt and the Chesco team installed a patio, pergola and fireplace in our backyard.
