Description of Work: Installed a new, high-quality toilet. The workman showed up a little later than stated, but did the job efficiently and well. The cost came in under the estimate. It was a gift for a relative, and they were discreet about sending me the bill without informing the recipient of the cost. Very pleased with the outcome, and would use Old Port Plumbing again.

Description of Work: I had someone come to check out why my one area of house had air moving, but no cooling. He arrived, walked in my house, but didn't knock. He removed the thermostat from the wall. Put it back on, said he felt cool air coming out and said it was fixed.That cost $50.00. That did not fix it. I then had another person from the company come out to look at the problem. They said it was the compressor of the the heat pump. They would order the part. The part arrived. I checked out the heat pump, found all alarm buttons green. I had had a compressor go on another heat pump and it made a chunking noise when the circuit breaker was reset. This heat pump made no noise- just didn't cool. The people arrived to replace the compressor. I asked if adding Freon might do the trick. They said they didn't want to do anything that I might not need. They spent 5 hours while one man talked the other through the replacement of this compressor. They then added freon and the heat pump worked correctly, but made a moaning noise. The compressor replacement cost about $1150.00 Another man came and got rid of the noise and charged me another $50.00 for that. My heat pump now works properly.
