I have not heard a word from Independent Energy Service. I bought another fireplace from a a different supplier and have been extremely satisifed. They removed the fireplace and it now sits on the kitchen floor waiting for Independent to give me back my money and take the fireplace with them.
Description of Work: He installed a propane fireplace in my home. however, he did not leave the operation manual or the warranty card. he told me that he would send in the warranty card. He did not even show me how to light the pilot. When I purchased the fireplace I specificly asked if it would have a wall mounted thermostat and he assured me that it would. When the fireplace arrived however the thermostat was mounted at the base of the unit which I could not access do to a medical condition which prevents me from squatting down or bending over. Because of this I had to leave the fireplace on 24 hours a day resulting in using 100 gallons of propane $2.67 a gallon. After repeated calls to Independent I was assured that he would drop off the operation manual. To this day I do not have the manual or even know the name of the manufacturer of the fireplace. I have contacted the Attorney generals office to no avail.
