Aire Serv Heating & Air Conditioning

Description of Work: We contacted Aire Serve in Pocono Lake for an oil furnace cleaning and tune up prior to the winter season here in the Poconos. We never used them before. I've observed past work done to my furnace by other firms and none of it compared to the professional and complete job done by Aire Serve.

Description of Work: I have used Aire Serv in the past to clean furncance. Most recently, July 2011. Work and price was acceptable. Called them back on Nov 11, 20011 becasue I noticed soot under exhaust pipe that they had removed. Felt they were the cuase of the problem. Called for service and for the first time was informed that the "analysis" fee would be $99.00. I was surprised but accepted. Technician came and said proplem was not leaky pipe but that the efficency settings were wrong. They had made these setting in July. Total time was less than 15 minutes. Technician sat in vehicle for 45 minutes and then gave me a bill for $202.00. I balked at this and I callled the office and got no where with impolite office personnel. Exasperated I gave credit card and agreed to pay bill. Bill now states that they said the problem was caused by the company that installed my tankless water heater. Technican said the company that installed by waterless heater had put in a aquastat that was the wrong one. Technican said it would cost me $600 to rereplace old aquastat. When technicain left I called Plum-Air, Inc, 570 454 3057. Manager at Plum said they were wrong that the proper aquaqstat was installed and I should get a new company to service my furnance. Plum said they would never charge for a return call on service they performed and screwed up.
