Run the other way! We don’t want the company to know who is leaving the review so we will give limited details. We were told the project manager was challenging to deal with but thought we could handle it. We were very sorry we didn’t heed the warning we received. The details to know 1. Little to no communication. You will only know day before if someone is arriving the next day or not. This is the best case: you find out the day before and, if you are lucky, they show up. 2. You will have people show up without warning as well. You don’t dare turn them away because you want the job to continue. 3. No one is onsite running your job. It’s random crews with no conversation showing up. Check their work before you let them leave. Multiple things needed to be fixed after crews left. 4. No one cares. No one to complain to, no one thinks this business model is a problem for customers. Get your recommendation from your local pool servicer. If they don’t service fresh plaster, find one that does. Ask them who the best local pool refinisher/plaster company is for your area. We now know who we should have used for a much better experience. Good luck

Awful. So many delays in project, I lost track. ZERO communication from them. I had to constantly chase them for any information (rarely was it good) and plead with them to come out to do the work. Wrong lights were installed because they didn't ask what light control system we used. Never could get a quote from them for a slide. Worst experience I ever had with a contractor and over years have used many contractors. Spent many thousands of dollars and all they could do was a $250 credit. I created account on Angie List just so I could write review.

Response from Premier Pool Renovations
We are very sorry you are disappointed with the final outcome of your project. As discussed when you were provided a quote on May 10th for 140 sq ft of concrete, 2 lights and volleyball net "anchors" we were booked thru the month of June with pool renovations and could not guarantee the expedited finish date you required but would try our best. We complete work in the order in which is is signed and obtained in house and there were contracts ahead of yours. Mid-May as a norm is one of our busiest times in renovations and we were well under way outdoor. The months of May and June were filled with multiple rain days which caused major delays on all outdoor projects - pool renovations customers were affected unfortunately. We tried to communicate this to you thru email, text and voicemails as best we could and apologize it was not to your liking. Yes the lights were changed out after installation due to your existing automation system on site having issue with the light show programming. There was a compatibility issue therefore we opted to change them as resolution for the lights not changing colors consistently. This did in fact corrected the problem . It was not an error on PPR's part but was based on manufacturer equipment differences and age of automation on site. To date we have only received the original deposit from May 10th for $2,955 the balance of $3,101 has not been collected. The other work mentioned on your property was contracted independently by you and was thru separate contractors not Premier Pool Renovations. We have contacted you several times for final payment. A credit as a courtesy was provided so we can still cover our costs for materials and labor provided as our quote to you was extremely fair. In regards to the large over sized built in structural specialty slide you inquired about, as our Operation Managers discussed with you after further research and manufacturer input the slide was not available until sometime August and we were not available for installation at this time. Again we are sorry for any issue. We prefer to keep our customers happy and swimming!

We hired Premier Pool Renovations by signing a contract on 11/22/16. HP, Keith, Amy and Dan all promised we would have our pool completely renovated by Memorial Day, May 29, 2017. What an unmitigated DISASTER. They are deceitful and untrustworthy. They did not fulfill any commitments they made. As of Memorial Day, they had spent about two days working on our pool. We eventually told them not to return - we would hire someone else to do the work. This story is perfect for Action News. This company failed to fulfill any of their obligations (over a six month period), and, have kept a total of $12,000 for about $2,000 worth of work. As they say "don't walk away from these people, RUN."

We never want any customer to be unhappy especially when there is only a very small window of time to get pools renovation competed in our climate. There are multiple reasons this project was delayed and work was completed in a timely fashion. All of which have been reviewed with the homeowner in depth and on site. This matter was resolved with the homeowner and PPR apologizes for any inconvenience. The project ceased after demo, appropriate payment was settled and money was refunded to the customers liking. Both parties agreed to close the issue.

PPR was great from moment one. We called a couple of years ago for an initial quote on a "facelift" for our 25,000 gallon in-ground pool. Sandy connected us to Dan, who promptly came out to the house. He was friendly and honest with what needed to be done. He was also quick to answer any and all of our questions. We were not in a place financially at the time to move forward, and shared that with Dan. "No problem," he said. "Call us when you are ready. We'll be here." 2 years later, we did, and are so very very pleased. PPR honored our quote that was give 2 years prior (with appropriate adjustments due to cost of goods). We also had to add on a few necessities to make sure the pool would operate correctly. Dan remembered us, and was able to make the modifications quickly. We were then given to Amy for scheduling. She was great to work with, and notified us as soon as it was "our turn" for the renovation. We still had many questions, but Amy was wonderful and always responded (even on Mother's Day!). We are now in the last little pieces of finishing our renovation, and the pool looks GREAT! We are happy with the cost and the value. The PPR experience was a good one from start to finish!

Contracted with this company on March 1st 2016 to renovate my pool and pool deck with a completion date of mid May 2016. We were able to use the pool at the end of June. There are issues with the plaster at one of the pool returns & in the spa not being poured correctly around the jets and stones sticking up from the bottom of the spa. The pool cover anchors still need to be installed. I have been trying to get a schedule for 5 weeks now and as of this past Thursday they are failing to respond. Their previous responses: "we have to check with the service guy who was out"; "we are very busy with other customers"; the Thursday prior to this past one was "they still needed to talk to their service guy, but would be out the next day (Friday). Lack of communication, quality of service, follow-up, customer service and project management are all huge negative issues with this company.

They were phenomenal. They came in, and did some renovations on my swimming pool. They were excellent. They did a superb job. There was nothing short about them. They came in gave me a variety of choices, made recommendations, were here when they said they're going to be here, worked like crazy to get it done, when they've spotted something that didn't look right, they take care of it.

The entire process from start to finish was very professional! The demo crew was fast & very clean! The pool light was accidentally broken by the plastering process & the company replaced it (upgraded version) free of charge! Tile & plastering was also completed very quickly. The flagstone coping turned out beautiful....the crew placed each piece meticulously creating a flawless effect with minimal joint lines! The crew hooked up all of the equipment & made certain that the pool was up and running properly before they departed. Overall we couldn't be happier! Thank you for a wonderful experience & a beautiful outcome!!!

I have had some really bad experiences with other pool companies, but my experiences with Premier Pools has been 99% terrific. My feedback is very similiar to others on this site. Dan was absolutely terrific and filled with great information. He returned my call immediately, came out and looked at the job and was very informative in regards to what my options were. I was just about ready to go with another pool company when I called Premier Pools for a final estimate and Dan's professionalism swayed me to go with Premier. The pool looks absolutely gorgeous. We couldn't be happier with the results. The plaster work and tiling really make all the difference in the world. Once they came out and started the job, they were quick, efficient, neat and professional. They have some really good crews working for them. The only area for improvement is in communication from the scheduling department - that is why I said I am 99% satisfied. It was a very rainy spring and I am sure that they had a lot of delays because of the weather, but all they had to do was call or e-mail to give me an update. I had to continually reach out and contact them to find out what was going on and when they were going to start. Other than that I was very happy and would recommend them to others.

PPR willingly honored a quote from two years ago that had been given to the previous owners of our house. The work was completed in a timely manner despite an extremely rainy spring. The workers themselves worked tirelessly and took a lot of pride in what they did. At one point during the re-plastering, it started raining incredibly hard. We thought they would stop, but instead they built a tent over the pool and dissappeared under it for a couple of hours. When the rain stopped and the tent came off the pool looked great. Its been a month and it still does. Brett, our project manager was extremely helpful, easily accessable, and seemed to take a personal interest in our project. When it was all done he even brushed the entire pool for us when he could have very easily handed me the pole and said good luck. He even followed up with calls and made suggestions about other projects that we had in mind. I figure that for every negative review there must be at least 30 happy customers (totally made up stat), so I just wanted to pay it forward a little for the great job that they did.
Description of Work: PPR completely renovated the pool. They replaced the tile and coping and replastered. They also replaced two areas of concrete that were broken.

My comments are similar to others on this site. The price was the best compared to others I received, the quality of the work was v very good and Dan, their sales leads, is excellent. The problem is their communication and responsiveness. Email replies are spotty at best and communication from the project foreman was poor until I complained and then he got much better. But you will ask for things or questions and it's 50/50 if they reply or if they deliver on what was asked for. I hope this review is a wake up call to them that they have a good product and price but their customer service is poor and if they don't start turning it around they are going to continue to lose business. They used to be and quot;Aand quot; rated on Angies list and now they are at a and quot;Band quot; overall.

Very professional up front. Sales person was good, fair and professional. We interviewed other companies, we thought Premier was pricey, but we wanted good quality work and we willing to pay for quality. Everything went well, very punctual and easy to work with, however my biggest complaint is the follow -up , we have tried at least 5 times to get them to come back out and "fix" cracks and hanging rocks in the hot tub, They asked for pictures--- we sent,,,and guess what they already got our money, so they don't really need to come back!!! Very annoyed with follow up. Be careful with this service and vendor. If you have follow up forget it,,,they won't come back....

We contracted to do the work in the Fall but weather delayed the project so we postponed until Spring. That was a little frustrating but it was not the contractors fault. We were anxious to get it done as we wanted to use the fire pit. We then started the project about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago and when the weather allowed they worked. The work was done very quickly as it's still early in the season so they were able to focus on this job and have extras guys it seems working. The project was completed 2 days ago.
Description of Work: We had our existing concrete patio and block wall removed and hauled away. They corrected some drainage issues as our yard collects water. Connected downspouts and ran them to the catch basin. Installed a new travertine patio and wall around patio as well as fire pit.

We are very easy customers as long as we have good communication. Initially we were clear what we expected and Premier also was forthright about what they would deliver. I think that is key in a project. As a result the process was very easy and we are both happy with the outcome. I told Premier I would review them when project was over good or bad (hoping would be good lol) and now I am delivering on the promise.

The pool process was very very smoothly relative to all the work we have ever had done by other contractors. The project took 7 weeks as there was some delays for weather and changing of materials previously chosen. I could not be happier with the overall project, our back yard is spectacular. I would not have changed a thing. Having people who do this day in and day out on a regular basis I feel is key. We did not do a minor cookie cutter renovation, not by a long shot. It was an undertaking. There were may issues that were complex and had to be dealt with during the process that I feel a company without the experience would have just not been able to handle. Permitting issues, drainage issues, the massive wall we had installed was an undertaking- to put it in perspective there were 7 tractor trailers of 85lb blocks used for the retaining wall. They had the manufacturer out at one point as there is a very high water table here and Premier wanted to be sure all was done correctly. The manufacturer confided to me they couldn't believe the scope and size of the footers, amount of stone used to back fill and drainage Premier provided. They were impressed.
Description of Work: Recently remodeled entire pool and surrounding area. Premier specifically did the pool and retaining walls and pool decking. The landscape architect did a drawing and we used that as the foundation for the project. The pool was redone soup to nuts- all the decking was removed, the old walls removed, the pool basically stripped. Then new tile, coping, plaster, skimmers, return lines,, cleaner and line, dual main drains, new led pools light, all new pool equipment (Pumps, filter, heater, salt system) automation and controllers.

My wife and I dragged our feet on renovating our pool for years, even when we decided to finally pull the trigger we still procrastinated until April before calling pool companies for prices. Several companies came out, some guys seemed convincing but some were just down right rude during our initial meeting, obviously we did not call the rude ones back. In the end we narrowed some primary factors down and went with Premier Pool Renovations! Dan was our salesman, he was prompt, polite, and knowledgeable. He explained we should look into tile, coping, plaster work as our primary concern and we could take on our equipment and pool cover goals at a later date. He gave us pricing options for the masonry on the pool and separate options for replacing equipment and the new cover quote. After reviewing the numbers and doing some research we decided his advice was probably best and did the masonry, he had left us with some info on the interiors and we decided the "quartz" upgrade was probably a smart move. From there Sandra Capps at PPR's office sent us a contract, we selected some colors, and sent in our deposit. Dan had also explained PPR was about 4 weeks out on the schedule (give or take) depending on weather and snags which as I said we called in April so we weren't all that surprised. In the end PPR started the work roughly mid May and we were swimming in a gorgeous new look pool by late the 1st week of June. We've worked with contractors in the past and all things considered this was a successful renovation experience!! Around the 4th of July we decided to have them replace the equipment and measure for a custom cover as well. The equipment was installed right away, their plumber's Brian and Vince were excellent and showed me how things worked when they were finished the installation. In early October we had PPR winterize the pool and close it up for the season. Overall PPR delivered on all the work that we had talked about in April with Dan and as a businessman, contractor, and customer I have to say this experience was well worth the money! We will have PPR open and close our pool in 2014 as well. If you're thinking of updating your pool give PPR a call and ask for their salesman Dan, he'll take good care of you!

My fiance & I are very pleased with the fall 2013 pool work we had done by Premier Pool Renovations. We had our pool interior surface refinished and the end result was a beautiful new plaster interior giving the pool gorgeous blue water color! We had a few contractors out to discuss the potential work; we decided to go with PPR because their estimator Dan scheduled a time to meet at our pool, showed up promptly, discussed our options with us, then emailed us later that day with a clear quote that reflected exactly what we discussed. The following afternoon Premier emailed us contract documents to sign and we mailed in our deposit. About 2 days later Brett from their office called and said the crew would be out the following morning to begin, the next morning they arrived early, they quickly drained our pool with a large pump and fire hose system that they brought with them and from that point forward they cleaned up after themselves every step of the way. When you think of projects like this you usually think of an unavoidable mess but Premier?s crews showed our property total respect. Early the 2nd morning the Premier plaster crew arrived. They proceeded to do what looked like some final preparation work then the guys put on special spiked shoes and began to hand trowel on the new white coat. They started working that morning around 7am, by 2pm the pool was beginning to refill with our garden hose, the guys packed up and left our pool and property looking better than they found it! From initial contact to completion of the project was about 8 days and during that time the weather was certainly not perfect but they made the best of the nice days and we appreciate all Premier?s hard work! We now can?t wait for the upcoming pool season! We highly recommend using this company, down the line we anticipate we will have to make some additional updates to our pool and we will be calling Premier Pool Renovations! Thanks again to everyone at Premier Pool for their hard work! Nick, Jessica, & Kamryn Cimorelli (Bucks County, PA)

In the end I removed the cracked water proof cement and Premier dropped a can of pool paint at my front door and I ended up fixing myself several weeks after the first call. Poor warranty, poor service, poor response, very unprofessional.

My husband met with several different pool renovators in the fall and he chose Premier Pool Renovations because he liked the person who came out, Dan O'Kane. All of the other estimates were within $500 so it really wasn't about money. We gave our initial deposit at the time of acceptance of the contract in the fall and then in March we were required to make an additional 25% deposit. All this was done. We were contacted in early April and met with a representative of the company (Brett) who was to be our project manager. At that time we selected our tile, coping and quartz finish color. Brett was very nice and pretty much ran us through the job and the expected time frame. According to Brett the job would take approximately 10 days from start to finish as long as the weather held up. The job started April 19th they came in and pretty much tore out the old tile, coping and prepared the interior for the new finish in one day. We were told by Brett that the new tile and coping would go in next. Several days went by and nothing happened. I called several times but my calls were not returned. Finally Brett called and said the tile and coping was currently being installed and that in 2 days someone would be out to put a bond coat on the pool in preparation for the quartz finish. In a few days someone did come out to replace the skimmer and the piping. Many days passed, no response to phone calls, or emails. I finally decided to contact Dan O'Kane. He answered his phone right away and was very nice and friendly. He gave me Brett's cell phone and told me that they were really booked on the commercial end and even though that was no excuse he was sure that was affecting my job as well. At least I had some kind of answer. I finally received a phone call from Brett who stated he had been away for the weekend which is why he hadn't returned my calls. In the end the person who had been to our house to help with the skimmer came to complete the concrete work. When he saw that the pool was not finished he seemed very upset and told my husband he was going to make a couple of calls. He came back and stated that someone would be there shortly to apply the bond coat and that by 3:00 a crew would be here to complete the quartz finish. This all happened. We don't know who this person was but he was true to his word and we would both like to thank him. The next morning on May 11th a water truck appeared and filled the pool. As far as their work is we are happy with the pool. There are some variations in finish that I think may actually be normal. We were happy with their workmanship but very disappointed in their lack of communication. We have since been told by many other people that this is the norm in this industry. I wish I would have known that going into this project because I felt we did what we needed to do - we didn't wait until the last minute but pre-planned the project. I was really p***** when I read the review by someone else who had their pool started and completed prior to mine and hadn't even given their deposit in the fall.
Description of Work: We had the coping and tile replaced as well as the interior of our pool replastered with a quartz finish. They also replaced the skimmer including all of the piping.

Selected this contractor primarily based on Angie's list ratings and their broad range of services since I had planned to have additional work done in the future. Sales rep (Dan O'Kane) was professional and courteous. Signed a contract on 3/26/13 with a $4,400 down payment. We were told that demo would start on or about first week of May. Received an e-mail on 4/26 indicating that the scheduled start date was moved from 5/6 to 5/11 due to some commercial work that Premier was doing. This was the beginning of the problems. Received another e-mail on 5/7 from the project manager that due to problems with their commercial work and some other misc issues (employee illnesses, working 16 hour days etc.) our schedule was in jeopardy and we would get in an update in 24 hours. We did not hear from them in 24 hours and after 3 days and numerous attempts to contact them we were told our start date was 6/26. When I threatened to cancel my contract it suddenly became tomorrow. They started on 5/29 and finished on Sunday 6/2. Quality of the work was OK, I expected better based on the reviews I read on Angie's list. I agree with the other reviewers in that communications were atrocious. They never followed through on their commitments and were difficult to get a hold of. The only people who answered their phones were the sales reps. The workers who came to the house were ok but none of them spoke english. As far as I can tell the project manager never came to inspect, check on progress, or speak with the customer (me). After the pool was filled they never gave instructions on start up procedures and I had to research them on my own. To their credit they gave me a free LED pool light worth $500 for free. Oh yes, there was one area where they were responsive and contacted me quickly, when payments were due. So it's over now and my pool looks good but I would not use this contractor again in the future.
