Sean’s work was so beautiful I wish I had my entire floor done.

The floors look great! We communicated via email mostly and Maxwell was very responsive. They were flexible with our other renovation projects in terms of scheduling.

Sean was fantastic. He came over shortly after contact to give me a more than fair estimate. I left him a house key and he came to the house to do the work without disturbing my schedule even the tiniest bit. Additionally, the work was phenomenal. I was unable to tell which were the old boards and which were the new ones Sean had installed. Maxwell Hardwood is the ONLY place I will ever go to have work done on my hardwood floors. Sean and his team did an excellent job on our floors. We had new floors installed in areas of the house that previously only had carpet. He then sanded and stained the existing wood to match throughout. They were punctual, professional and accommodating. I would highly recommend.

They did a fantastic job. Always showed up when they said they would. Job was finished on time and cost what they said it would. The house looked like it was brand new when they were done. It was not an easy job because the floors were a mess. Sean Maxwell is so nice to deal with. He is fair and honest. I would highly recommend him!

Sean and Paul did an excellent job installing about 400sf of new hardwood flooring in my home. It looks great! They were very responsive during the estimate and proposal process. The installation took a couple of day. They were very respectful to my home, fully cleaning up at the end of each work day. It was a pleasure to work with Sean Maxwell and his team. Floors are amazing! Sean (owner) and Paul were very professional and respectful. Answered all of our questions and gave tips throughout the project. We had areas that did not match to our floors and they made them look great. Sean even provided us with a bottle of his recommended floor cleaner. We have already hired him to do another job and will recommend him to anyone looking for flooring work!

Sean and his crew did a fantastic job. They had to remove carpet, tile and an old staircase. We couldn't be happier with the results. We love our new floors and would HIGHLY recommend him.

I have been trying to have this done for a few years because I read how this company was the best. However, something always came up and I had to cancel. I was delighted that this time I was finally able to have my floors done. I would like to say that it is unfair of people that didn't use this company to give a poor grade. I was present in the house when the work was being done and it is a hard, tedious job. The end result is truly worth the wait. I started contacting Sean probably in early Spring to try and get on his schedule before he was filled up. We communicated several times from May to June. I would be patient while waiting for him to get back to me because I was not in a hurry. On June 9 Sean came out to review the work to be done and a date was scheduled for June 15. Three rooms were blocked off with a plastic wrap to keep dust out. However, the dust containment machine does a great job containing the dust. In fact, at the close of the day there was no dust on the floors and you didn't smell dust. My only suggestion is to inform customer of the way the plastic will be secure to the wall and advise them of possible pin holes left from thumb tacks and slight paint peel when tape removed. I mentioned this to Sean while the job was still being done and he said he would fix any problems once plastic was taken down. However, the pin holes are only visible if you look for them and the spots that where affected by the tape were minor. I took a small brush and touched up. I also suggest taking before and after pictures so that if you see something you are not sure about you can contact Sean. I did this and he sent Paul back out to look at the situation. Nothing had to be fix and Paul also answered other questions I had about the wood. So don't give up when you calls are not returned right away be patient if you can and keep sending reminders. I think you will be pleased with the results.

Sean Maxwell and his coworker Paul are genuine craftsman. And I don't say that lightly. My home has many fine wood features that were created by my father when he built our house in the '50's. We wanted to update our home and uncover the beauty of the hardwood floors that had been carpeted since the 70's. Sean took care to match the new stain color and have it compliment the existing wainscot. I never had to worry about dust from sanding, the rooms were clean at the end of each day. Sean and Paul work together as a team, consulting each day on the results of their work. Wood is a natural product requiring inspection and evaluation of each step in the refinishing process. I felt that they treated my project as if it was in their own homes. I recommend Maxwell to anyone who wants a result they will be proud of.

Not very responsive to messages. Responded initially, but we were never able to move forward scheduling the project because Maxwell Floors stopped responding to messages.

Sean Maxwell and his partner, Paul were very professional and did an excellent job installing our new Bruce hardwood floor. The new floor butts up against an old hardwood floor in our Foyer that is slightly different in color and is rounded off on the end piece. To make this blend well, Sean returned later with a hand-stained threshold to make sure the two floors looked good together. All work was completed on time and within his estimate.. an estimate that was lower than any other we received. Over-all, we're very satisfied with Maxwell's, and would highly recommend them. One caveat... Sean is a very busy guy with a family and other obligations. He is sometimes slow to respond to requests, but always returned calls when he got time. Sean is a genuinely nice guy with a friendly manner.

I had an appointment on 7/29 and confirmed the appointment through Angie's email. The contractor did not show up for the appointment. I left an email message on Angie and a voicemail asking for the status, I did not get a response to either one.

We called and left messages to find out about refinishing our hardwood floors several times. No one returned our phone calls. Very disappointing after all the positive reviews.

I can't say enough good things about Maxwell Floors. Sean and his crew were very professional and courteous. They did an amazing job prepping the floors including replacing damaged boards, removing or sinking old nails and staples and sanding them clean. They then stained the floors with a color created from mixing different stain colors. Following up with sealant and 2 coats of polyurethane. Sean also built and finished the thresholds and added a piece of moulding that we hadn't thought of but made a big difference in the look of the room. Their work was very clean. No dust. They put up plastic between the rooms, but I don't really think it was necessary. We could not be happier with the results. I would highly recommend Maxwell Hardwood Floors!

we had an existing wood hallway replaced to match the floors we recently had installed. We had an event planned and wanted the floor done prior and Sean was able to fit us into his busy schedule. His work is impeccable! We have had so many complements on our floors, would definitely recommend!

I am impressed with Sean's knowledge of his business and the work came out just beautifully. He was willing to work with us to develop the exact color we were looking to achieve, a dark brown with just a hint of red. The work went smoothly and I would highly recommend him. He also worked with me to squeeze in the job before I moved in to the house, which was very much appreciated!

It turned out fantastic. He showed up early and even got the job done earlier than expected. The results were perfect, better than I could have imagined.

Our experience from start to finish was fantastic! We already had wood floors in part of our downstairs and wanted to add to the 3 remaining rooms - living room, dining room and office. Sean spent a lot of time making sure he matched the existing floor, color and finish. The workmanship is outstanding and we couldn't be happier. From start to finish it was easy to work with him, he stuck to the schedule he gave us and when the project was done left the house clean. We would definitely recommend him if you were having any kind of work done with wood floors!
