We hired him to do the primer on the ceilings and the walls. He let himself in to start painting the colors on the walls with our security code. He has been paid in full. He was painting while the stone masons were chipping stone on the fire place. There were dust and chips flying all over the place throughout. He had two strange people in my house painting. He would come back throughout the process to check on tem, but the work is so substandard, that it is going to have to be completely redone. He painted over 18 nail holes on the bedroom ceiling, and various other impuritiies. He diluted paint with water at some points. He didn't complete his work, there are numerous spots that have no paint on them at all. He never primed or painted beneath the sheet rock under the stairs the basement, beneath stair cases, basement, or around support poles, and never primed or painted the 23' beam in the great room or the 9' beam in the kitchen. There are rough spots on my walls where the sheet rock had not been wiped down before paint was applied. His edging is horrific. There was absolutely no attention to detail and some of the lowest quality of painting that I have ever seen. The finish on the walls is not smooth and there are gouges that have caused drip marks. There is not enough paint on the walls in areas where it is clear that another coat is necessary. He painted over wet spackle in the bathroom with the primer, and then painted the color on the wall. It felt like an eggshell, and the only way to fix the problem was to totally replace the MR board. When he came in to paint, he was supposed to call the sheet rock people if there were any imperfections that needed to be taken care of before the paint was applied. Instead, he left unprofessional painters in my home to do the job for him, and they painted over the places that were not ready for paint yet. They have also spilled gooseberry paint all over my kitchen and in my garage. They did not paint behing the kitchen cabinets either. He painted where he wanted to do, and didnt paint where he didnt want to. I would never reccomend this painter to anyone. He paid $244 for the paint that he used in my home, and somehow came up with a bill $6600. All in all, it is the most substandard paint job that I have ever seen--I feel that kids straight out of high school could do a much better job.
