Zingrone Landscaping

Joe and his crew are doing an amazing job removing a patch of invasive bamboo and landscaping a steep hillside. They work very hard and are a pleasure to deal with. Responsive and communicate extremely well plus handle any problems or changes to the work scope that occurs.

The team did a fantastic job and we've had many compliments on the rock hardscape that was laid. I'd definitely hire agin!

I would hire Zingrone Landscaping again because Joe was thorough about what needed to be done verbally and in writing. His crew did a great job and they were punctual and always professional.

It went very well. Joe and his team were excellent. i had this odd issue, which is i needed a bamboo grove in a large planter removed/dug out and replaced with large plants [green fence]. I got three bids, and while Zingrone's was not the lowest, it was clear to me immediately that he was the most competent and engaged manager. If you are looking for the cheapest price, maybe not your best bet. If you have a job that you want done properly, with follow-up and constant contact, then I highly recommend them. I also do spring/fall cleanup.

Updating an earlier review...after further discussion, it seems there was some confusion with regards to weeding being included in our quote for the spring cleanup. As it turns out, the provider ended up weeding our beds at no extra cost in an effort to make the customer happy. With regards to the lawn cutting, Joe(the owner) explained why the lawn cutting was uneven and has since instructed his crew to make the necessary adjustments. The lawn cutting for the past couple of weeks has been great. Joe has followed up several times to make sure we’re satisfied with the quality of work. He has always said that his goal is to make sure the customer is happy and he has delivered.

They did a job for me they were fine. They did what they said they would do in the time that they said they would. The cost was reasonable.

They are very reliable and they do excellent work. They also do snow removal and it's often very hard to find a landscaper that does snow removal. They are only doing my grass. They've done other things for me. They've rebuilt retaining walls and they built a patio in my back porch, but they haven't done anything with my trees or shrubs. As far as grass cutting goes, their price is probably right on a level with other people. I've had them forever and if they are good and they show up, I keep them. The person that was doing my lawn retired and I believe I just interviewed people I found through advertisement. I'm not sure I found them on Angie's List. Nothing to improve on. They did fine on keeping me updated.

The snow removal they're very good. I can always count on them. The boy is just expensive. Everything they do, I've had them forever. If they're good and show up I keep them. The person that was doing my lawn retired, I believe I just interviewed people to find a new one. On price, It varies. I have a very long driveway and slopes down. They have to hand shovel it all. The salt constantly, even when there isn't a lot of snow they come by and put down salt.

I called them and Joe came out to do an estimate on removal and taking down some dead trees behind the fence. He was extremely responsive and came to my house on time. Very professional and pleasant to work with. His crew did a great job and I would definitely call them again if I need additional help. Very satisfied!

They were able to get me in early and did a fantastic job, including the clean up. All we have to do is plant!

Their price was high, but their service was great all the way. I would use them again.

Joe's team did an excellent job. It took a little longer than they expected, but it was worth it. The estimate was very reasonable, and the results are beautiful. Now we love to look at our back yard, and we can get to the further portion (we used to have access via a lot next to our yard but it was built up in the past year).

We had a wonderful experience with Joe and his team. The rebuild of the retaining wall required movement of a significant amount of gravel and dirt. Our house has the added complication of being on a hill. The team was creative and resourceful in building a ramp to move major amounts of materials. When the wall was complete, the entire area was clean. We are so pleased with the end result and would definitely recommend Joe and his team for any landscaping construction work. AA+. It was just ok - very overpriced for the work received. The owner is very nice but they workers are very lax. They only cut my lawn with a weed whacker and left the trimmings. They continued to do this all but a time or two. They didn't do a great job for the price. I would have paid $25 for the job they did. The owner was very responsive with my complaints but I just gave up with the workers - the last straw was when the workers blew (not picked up) grass trimmings (because they were still using a weed whacker) all over my stroller that I had outside and didn't bother to do anything.

This process went on for a while. My initial contact was about a year and a half earlier. Joe Zingrone came out, spent at least two visits discussing and then pricing out several potential projects as well as several emails and a couple of phone calls to finalize estimates and details. I delayed starting any of these as I had been considering a move from this property. Contacted Joe again this spring and opted to go ahead with the projects outlined here. There was some delay in getting under way (about a month to a month and a half later than we had originally discussed) however, this spring and early summer the weather was pretty uncooperative and Joe was pretty good about keeping me updated on the delays. Eventually we projected an early July start date. My only minor quibble was that the crew arrived without a prior phone call. I usually like to be there the day any projects on my home begin. Joe did explain that a last minute window to start had opened up, so I ended up being OK with that. The crew had to deal with intermittent bad weather, but they did a great job and I'm quite happy with how the projects turned out. The 'crew chief' on site (Tim) was very good about explaining processes and other options for the future. I was initially not happy with the way the pavers near the pond were reset (I still thought there was too much of a slope) and they readily agreed to reset them to my liking. This was excellent (A grade) work across the board in my opinion, though I've never had to hire anyone for landscaping work before. The punctuality 'B' grade was just for the lack of the arrival phone call mentioned above, but that was really a minor issue. As far as price, I'm still surprised at the cost of landscaping projects, but that's probably just my inexperience. I will say that when Joe originally came out and gave estimates I had gotten several others for the same projects and while Zingrone Landscaping was slightly higher, all were in the same ballpark. I went with Zingrone because I just had a better feel from the time and personal communication with Joe up front.

He was looking at the overall tree to make sure it balanced out. He did a really good job . It was a Japanese red maple tree that had just got out of hand. He also trimmed another tree as well. Took him about 2 hours to complete. I highly recommend them.

He came to survey the work. Took notes, made a drawing, took pictures and explained what he thought we should do, and then we never heard from him on the estimate or that he did not want to do the job. Just nothing. Upon receiving my first review, I did receive an immediate call back from Joe.

They did a great job - very courteous, professional, and patiently tolerant of my specific requests. When I was concerned that too little mulch had been laid in some areas, Mr. Zingrone responded immediately to my concern by sending his crew back with more mulch, wanting me to be completely satisfied! We are 100% happy with the results and it was a great pleasure to do business with such professional and kind people.

Bad - so he rings the doorbell on Friday afternoon at 2:30 - my wife who was working from home that day was on a conference call meeting and because he kept ringing the bell, she had to answer the door. He asked her if I was home and said no, he doesn't get home until after 3pm, he immediately said he can not wait that long and does she know what needs done - she said yes, but she was on a call and couldn't talk to him and asked him to wait for me to show up at 3pm - he said he can not wait and was rude about it. Customer service is the first step to showing your customers are important.

Too busy to even keep my appointment for an estimate that I had made 2 weeks Prior. Very disappointing.

It took a while before they got started and I am not sure all plants will take as it was not long after they planted that weather turned cold. I am reserving judgment on the job until we see how it looks in the spring. But the work they did looked really good when they were finished.

It went great. After they came and provided the estimate, they performed the service after a short delay. Good quality, we would definitely use them again.

Outstanding company to deal with from our first phone call until the end of the project. Joe came over and listened to what we wanted to do than he came up with ideas we would have never thought of. Joe and all his men were just awesome very clean workers. Can't say enough good about this whole company...if you need anything done that they do you will not be sorry to hire them. I would hire them again without hesitation Everything was done to the smallest detail

We had a heatwave and a drout when he put the plants in and we struggled keeping them alive. One of the trees he put in died shortly after. W e asked him to widen the gardens along the edge of the driveway and it was hard to tell what he did .
