We had a problem initially when we turned on the air. We had to call them several times. They kept at it until they found the solution.

The go through the regular routine. The machine is old. The machines a 1994 I think. They just check it out. One of these days it's not going work. I have no problems with these guys.There's two furnaces in this house. They put both the furnaces in and they put one proceeding furnace in. That's why I used them, they're reliable and I have used them for several years now. I don't expect anyone to come out here and work for nothing. I never worked for nothing. If you have a problem they get someone out here right away. They tell you what time of day you want and he's here within an hour, half hour or so.

Great! Upon arrival, Myles asked about what was going on and immediately got to work and diagnosed the issue, which turned out to be a faulty capacitor. After installing the new capacitor, Myles determined that the system was low on charge, so he added R-22. The system has never worked better! I would highly recommend White Heating!

I did obtain 3 quotes. While White Heating was not the cheapest, their bid was the most comprehensive. Their estimate covered all the services that I requested, as I was upgrading to some more expensive, and more energy efficient units. They also promptly responded to my emails, returned my calls, or had someone call me and advise the salesman was on vacation and wouldn't respond for another week. Two men from White Heating arrived at the date and time as promised. They completed removed the old furnace and the old A/C unit. They also had to drill new holes in the wall to comply with my request to move the position of the A/C unit about ten feet, as I never did like how the previous owner of the house placed the old A/C unit near the dryer vent. The new units required new PVC pipes for air intake and exhaust as the old unit sent the exhaust into the chimney. Some new duct work inside the home was also needed near the blower, as I have an older home. Crew also installed a hummidifier. The guys did good work, and all of the services that I requested. The new units are much more efficient. I do have an older home, so there were some obstacles that needed to be overcome, but I made all of this clear to the salesman when he came to provide an estimate. I only had two minor complaints about the experience. One worker did grumble about some additional wiring that was needed, even though I made the salesman aware of some less than desirable wiring the in basement for the old furnace. They did also leave quite a bit of dust, dirt and debris in the basement, even though I allowed them to use my shop-vac. I realize that the installation was dirty job, but I ended up sweeping and cleaning up again after they left.

My central A/C unit stopped working at 8 AM on a Sunday when the forecast was for 90+ degrees that day and the next few days. I called and got their answering service who said they'd call me Monday AM. I talked to them Monday AM and they put me on the schedule for Tuesday around 10:30 AM. They called me around 10:15 Tuesday to say they were running about 1 hour behind, but it ended up being about 3 hours behind. That's the reason or the B grade... Once there, the nice repairman figured out in 15 minutes that the problem was my compressor fan motor, which was 40 years old (the whole unit is original). He took the old fan with him to the shop and they tried to find a replacement part that would fit. They found the part and came back out and had the unit working by 3 PM that day. I was very happy they could fix it so quickly, especially since it was so hot and they were busy. I will likely be in need of a whole new A/C and furnace next year, so I will be calling White for an estimate. I also called one of their competitors for my original repair on Monday, and they never called me back until Friday. really? White does seem to try to keep the customer informed of when they will arrive.

Everything went very well and the interaction was good. He was on time and I have been using them for 20 years. I have not had any problems with them.

I called the answering service last night at around 1:30 a.m. The person on the other end of the phone was very pleasant and passed the message on to the day staff. I received a phone call at 8:30 a.m. and an appointment was scheduled for shortly after 1 p.m. the same day. Also, the man from the office looked up my address and noticed that the previous owner of my house had recently purchased the furnace from them and said it was still under warranty. The technician showed up on time, performed the work quickly and explained what he did and why. He was very nice. I would definitely recommend them.

I told them I could not wait for Friday to have the fan checked on the unit. John actually told me it did not sound "right" but then he did nothing to try to get anyone here before Friday. I told him I would find someone else to fix the fan and do service. I don't want to use a company that is dismissive and booked for weeks on end.

Very well. I called White Heating and A/C on Sunday morning and left a message with answering service. I communicated to the service that a burring smell was coming out of a/c vents and I turned unit off. Said tech would call me monday morning. Tech called around 8:30am Monday and said he'd stop by around 11:00am. Perfect, right on time! He took his shoes off right at the door! Very professional. Work completed within an hour. He showed me the old motor and pointed out what I was smelling coming through the vents. He made sure A/C was working before he left. No mess made. Very efficient.

I had Economy take a look at my non-performing Lennox AC system ... the serviceman said he'd need to do an extensive leak test, and also, that I needed a new compressor ... I was quoted approx. $800 to find what was probably a leak in the system, and $2800 to replace the compressor (not the whole condenser unit, mind you ... just the compressor). I checked with Lennox, and they gave me the name of an authorized Lennox installer, White Heating, who sent a man down … He said the compressor was fine … and that it should have a 10 year limited warranty on it anyway, and there should be no issues, since it has so few moving parts … and that it appeared to be operating ok. He detected some missing refrigerant. He took ‘leak tests’ using some kind of sensor that detected residual non-compliant compounds … near piping and the evaporator … and he said that any leak repair would still require removal of the coil to repair it … considering the age of the evaporator coil, he said that his best recommendation would be to ‘fill’ with refrigerant … and the amount of the leak would show up quickly. He filled the unit with 410, using about 4 lbs … or so … and charged me $210 total for the service call. The $210, was much less than the $800 or so Economy suggested would be required to find a leak in the system. After about a week … the system is running fine … even getting down to 49.1 deg at the coil … on a day when the outdoor temp is 86 … and the indoor is 74; and the duct air temp in the basement is about 53 deg. These numbers are very good for an 8 year old unit ... (the day following the service call, the temp at the coil was 47.5 when the room temp was 73 ... which is also reasonable) ... The unit is working almost, or as good as, new ... Maybe White Heating is being opportunistic, but, then why did Economy make such a silly mistake? The serviceman showed ethics and expertise of the Lennox products ... I'll call White the next time ... Obviously ... Now if only I can get the serviceman' s name.

I was told by one heating company that my furnace was too old and needed to be replaced. When White came both the technician and the sales rep were familiar with the brand of my old furnace and were, with a minor bit of miraculous work, able to purge the problem and fix the furnace. I was very impressed.

They are professional, knowledgeable and reliable. All of their work has been done in a neat and orderly fashion.

Within 15 minutes he had the furnace working again. Vey professional. Cleaned up his area around the furnace and even took his shoes off prior to coming in the house. I will continue to use. Good customer service.

There was a temporary power outage in our neighborhood on Thursday. We didn't think it was a problem. On Friday it was really hot outside, and we noticed that it was hot inside the house too (thermostat read 82F). I called White Heating (they installed our HVAC system) and left a message with their answering service. She said a technician would call me back within an hour. The technician (Scott) called me back in about 20 minutes and wanted to troubleshoot the problem over the phone. That would save them time when they came out to our house. He was at another customer's house waiting for a part to be delivered. We did the troubleshooting and narrowed it down to the central blower or main circuit board. He told me over the phone that if it was the blower, it would take several days to get the part, but they had boards in stock. The manager (Chris) called back an hour later. One of his other technicians just finished a job a few miles away and could stop by to look at our HVAC. The technician (Dan) came within 20 minutes and started troubleshooting. He found out that the blower unit was fine, but the main circuit board was not working. He called his manager to get a board. They had a few in stock. Their office is not that close to our house, so he called in to find another board. He found out that there was another technician a few miles away with a spare board. He drove to a nearby mall to meet the other technician and pick up the board. He came back and installed the board and everything started working great. He initially said that we shouldn't use the AC fully because the blower hadn't been working properly and some of the lines had frozen condensation on them. But then he stayed around for a few minutes to test the system. When he found out that the system was working properly, he said everything was okay and we could use the AC without a problem. He even showed me the bill. He didn't charge us for the time he went out to get a replacement board. White Heating didn't charge us for the board because it was under warranty. I didn't know that so it was nice of them to tell us. All we had to do was pay for his labor, which was very reasonable. Overall we are very happy with their service. They do biannual service of our HVAC and after this emergency service call on the weekend, we will keep using them.

Their service is fine. The staff are good. I would use them again in the future.

This was the second serviceman from White Heating who came to my house. Both inspected my heating unit for the same reason, the flame roll-out switch was tripping. Neither serviceman was able to find any specific problems with the unit though the second hypothesized that it may be a faulty draft motor. Following this visit a received a proposal from White Heating for a new heat exchanger for $700+ (despite neither serviceman having found an issue with the heat exchanger). Since I'd now heard 3 different things from 3 different people at White Heating (one who hadn't even seen the heater) I contacted another company. Their serviceman was here for 45 minutes, corrected the issue, and my heater ran flawlessly the rest of the winter.

In 1999, we had a new furnace and A/C unit installed in our home by White Heating. They arrived when they told us they'd be here and were always polite and informative. They cleaned up after themselves and before leaving, they explained all of the features of the equipment and how to maintain everything. Over the past twelve years, we've had a few minor, inexpensive problems with the furnace. Parts, labor and the housecall never were more than $120. The most recent time we had a question about our air conditioning unit, attached to the furnace, was in in July of 2012. I think a slight adjustment of something was required, but no parts were needed. At that time, the courteous repairman even cleaned the furnace free of charge so that it would be ready for use in the Fall. My husband was very ill at the time, and the White Heating repairman gave me that little extra peace of mind by cleaning the furnace & assuring me everything was in good shape. I also called White Heating in January of 2013 to ask them how to change my furnace filter. By that time, my husband sadly had passed away, and I no longer had him around to take care of things like the furnace any more. A White Heating representative promptly returned my phone call and gave me easy-to-understand instructions on how to change the filter, and he also made some suggestions about other things I could do to keep my furnace and air conditioning unit operating efficiently. My next-door neighbor has had similar good experiences with White Heating over the years, and when it comes time to replace any heating and air-conditioning equipment or get repairs, I will continue to call White Heating, Inc.! They are an excellent company with caring, competent people who do excellent work in a timely fashion!

The installation was highly professional. The installers were articulate and polite. They made the installation very neatly and cleaned up afterward. The furnace functions beautifully. Could not ask for anything more. AND their bid was the lowest of the three we received. These people know how to run a customer focused business.
