Everything went perfectly. The carpet looks great. Vinny and his assistant vacuumed the carpet at the end, and the area is ready to use!

Contacted Tracy by phone 8/23/09. She convinced me Vinny Roberto would be an excellent choice to perform installation. He was experienced, nearby, had a dock where carpet could be received and cut to measurements taken. Provided EMAIL estimate 8/24/09Tracy @ Vinny's #1 Flooring 412-793-0100 Sent Jack Rubin to measure on Aug 31, 2009. Unable to reach Tracy by phone and message unreturned that week (Vinny's does not accept inquires without caller ID) .Jack confirmed he had sent measurements into office and advised me to call Tracy after hours. so I sent a follow-up Emails on 9/4/09 and 9/7/09. Received the following response on 9/9/09 Sorry but i actually was out of town for a few days and stuff seemed to have piled up on me. Looking at the measurement Jack did you will need a 12X65 which is 86sy. You can have them ship to my warehouse which will be easier for us so it can be cut there prior to install. I will get you the address when you are ready to place order. When I get in later today I will redo the estimate based on this new yardage. That is all i can really do at this point. As far as scheduling when the carpet comes in I will schedule, I cannot be accurate on the amount of days for scheduling, you indicate exactly one week, it should be fine but things come up and large jobs sometimes come our way. I cannot predict the future of jobs, but generally our time frames are fine and prompt. Thank you and i will forward new estimate today. Tracy Never received revised estimate nor were my phone calls returned during the next two weeks. Finally sent the following message on 9/23/09 Tracy, Please explain why you have not provided the revised estimate. It's been more than three weeks since Jack Rubin was here for measurements. Also advise the reason that none of our follow-up calls to your office number within the past two weeks have neither been answered nor returned. Our installation date was to have been the last week in Sept or the first week in Oct. 2009. It's unlikely now that either will be possible. Our patience is vanishing and we are considering reporting this stonewalling on the part of Vinny's #1 Flooring to the local BBB. Subsequently I hired a different certifed installer who was excellent, at the same cost as Vinny's Estimate.

We bought carpet from Lowes and once the carpet came in (two weeks exactly) the carpet went to the installer, Vinny's Carpet Service. They called that night at around 8pm and we scheduled the installation date within a week. The day before installation they called to confirm, and the morning of the installation Vinny called to let us know he was on his way. He showed up with two trucks and two other guys on time at 9am. I thought he was the foreman and was going to leave to another job, like most foremans do, but he stayed all day and all three installed the carpet. Vinny is a very nice and funny guy, full of energy! He made the mistake of including the upgraded padding (even though we had bought the standard padding) and he gave it to us for free! That's the kind of guy he is. I went to work and came back at 2pm and they were wrapping things up and cleaning up. The carpet looks amazing, they did a superb job installing it around closet door jams and on the stairs. He is independent of Lowe's (http://vinnyscarpetservice.com/home.nxg) and can any job. I'm definitely going to use him in the future if we have any other carpet needs. BTW, they do nick up your walls a bit, but this is standard and he warned me ahead of time that some walls and doors will get nicked up. A little Magic eraser fixes that though.

I was in a rush to get new carpet laid for an event at my house. I bought my carpet at Lowes and Vinny was the contractor they hired. They were on the ball from the word go! The guy at Lowes made a note of the rush I was in and as soon as I placed the order, Tracy called me to schedule the carpet being laid. I told her the situation and my time line and she was on it! She called and told me my carpet delivery before Lowes did! They arrived on time to lay the carpet. The whole crew was courteous, and friendly. They did a fantastic job from start to finish!

WE HAVE USED VINNY TO INSTALL CARPET AT SEVERAL OF OUR RENTAL UNITS AND A HOME WE SOLD. HE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND REASONABLY PRICED.
