Two Men and a Truck

I had a terrific move experience with the Pittsburgh franchise of Two Men and a Truck, which is evidently operated by Canterbury International. The sales staff were very polite and professional over the phone, and clear and straightforward in presenting information, including rates and charges. The rates quoted and the policy of being charged only for the actual time used seemed very fair, even with a travel charge and minor fuel surcharge added in. I called a few different movers, and TM&aT offered the best price for my particular circumstances. Owen and Eric, my movers, were professional, very competent, courteous, congenial, respectful of my property, and worked well together as a team to move items with care and efficiency. All my items were handled and moved expeditiously and safely, completely without damage. The weather was extremely cold that day, and the walks and roads had enough slush and salt to make a mess. None-the-less, the men did their best to keep doors closed where possible and to clean shoes when entering our homes. Their best efforts were only marginally successful, as to be expected given the nature of the activity and the time of year. We were prepared for this and find no fault, but I just want to point out that this is a fact of life for winter moves. But we appreciated that they made an effort. The crew completed the move in 2.5 hours, compared with the original estimate of 3.25 to 4.25 hours by the salesman. I was indeed charged only for the actual time, plus travel charge and fuel surcharge. I was also pleased with my experience post-move with the billing folks post-move. Based on my experience, it seems that this company operates honestly and professionally. I don't know if all crews operate as well as this one did, but one can evidently ask for crews by name and I highly recommend Eric and Owen.
