TOMMY'S SERVICE

I just wrote a bad review about this company on 4/20/2017 - about their horrible job on my dishwasher and expensive fee for the diagnosis. Then I received a bill by mail from them for the service I did not get. It was about $120 or something. I checked my credit card statement and surely I did pay them $148 already when they came in and did nothing on it. Then what is this new bill about? I called them and left a message last Friday evening. They called me back this Monday and said their billing person is on vacation, but their big boss is looking into it so they will follow up with me on Tuesday. Guess what, now it's Wednesday already and they did not call me back yet. Maybe I should report them to bbb. What a horrible company. It was a big mistake to call them in the first place for my dishwasher. They did not fix it, made me pay $148 for just coming in, and then sent me another bill for no reason and then is not explaining how this happened.

The guy came in a week ago to fix my dishwasher, and he couldn't even turn it on. I had to teach him how to turn on the dishwasher. Then after looking at the dishwasher about 20 min, he wasn't sure what was causing the problem. He said he will go back to office, do some research, and get back to me about the estimate. Then he charged $148 or something. Basically he couldn't even make a diagnosis (or turn on the **** thing) and charged big money just for coming in and wasting my time. Of course he didn't follow up with me. It's been a week since then, and no call from them. I called Sears instead. They came in, made the diagnosis quickly, did the research right away on the spot (have you heard about Internet, tablet PC, or smart phone, guys?), and printed out the estimated cost to fix it right there. And they charged only $59 for diagnosis. Don't even call these guys.

I had used them before I ever signed up for Angie's List. That service was expensive because the part was expensive. We have a built-in refrigerator, which is not cheap. Most of the price I paid was for the part for the refrigerator. What was going on with my refrigerator was that I had to replace the whole guts of it. The price was reasonable. I think they were fair. Two of them came, they had a pretty big job to do and they were very efficient. Their responsiveness was excellent. I sent them a message Sunday evening and they got to me Monday morning. Their work was excellent. I had somebody else come out and they could not fix the oven door.

I had been told by another repair man (Ace Hardware) that my refrigerator compressor was bad. Ace Hardware recommended Tommy's Service to replace the compressor. I called Tomm'y and ordered a new compressor. The estimated cost to replace the old compressor was $1000.00. When the new compressor came in - Russ came to do the work. Before taking out my old compressor Russ checked to see if my compressor was in-fact bad. He fould my compressor to be ok but I had a leak in the refrigerant coil. He found the source of the leak and fixed it. My compressor did not need replacing.

Ver good service . I will recommend them .

They diagnosed the problem quickly then ordered the parts the same day. When the parts arrived they called me and came and repaired the refrigerator the next day. I would definitely use this company again.

I was not sure the repairman knew what he was doing. He called his supervisors many times to ask what he should do and how to proceed. After 3 hours, the unit ended up partially repaired, my bill was high, and i will have to get someone else to finish.

My experience with Tommy's Service was excellent. I called Monday morning about icing/frost on the back of the refrigerator. Someone came that day, diagnosed the problem, checked the rest of the refrigerator to make sure it was worth fixing, called in to order the part, and said they should have it in 3-4 days. They called on Thursday to say the part had arrived, and we scheduled for them to install it between 9 am and noon the next day. The repairman arrived about 10:15, calling in advance with the exact time, and the repair was completed before noon for the price quoted. Both repairmen were knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves.

CALLED BACK SAME DAY. CAME NEXT DAY TO REPAIR. FIXED PROMPTLY. FRIENDLY.
