Description of Work: We had had a new roof put on by another roofer and it continued to leak. We contacted Tom Kuhn and they came out and found the reason for the leak and made the repair. They did the same on our garage roof. We were very pleased with everything.

Description of Work: Replaced a lower roof along with gutters,including gutter guards, and downspouts. |It went well and the job was finished in the amount of time expected.

Description of Work: I have a home built in 1931 with the original slate roof. Tom Kuhn and his sons have worked on various areas of my roof and ONLY did the work that was necessary. They promptly identified the problems, i.e., where the water leak was coming from; need to replace a few pieces of slate or did the necessary caulking. |They also did siding work in the back of the house and some work in my attic. Tom, Don and Brian are professional, honest, hard working and have always been punctual and pleasant. If possible I will have them redo my slate roof with shingles in the spring of 2015. |There are too many dates and various charges to list.

Description of Work: I called for a roofing estimate, the person who measured the roofs was on vacation. I was told he would contact me the following week, which he did and his bid was very good. I selected another contractor because the initial contractor gave me a bid the week before which was very close to this provider.

Description of Work: clean the gutters. removed an old TV antenna. re-nailed a loose nail from the gutter.

Description of Work: Work was performed well and on time. Rebuild of back sun porch.

Description of Work: We had our gutters and shingles replaced and a ridge vent installed. My husband does not want anyone working on our house besides him, we have had far too many poor quality jobs come our way. However, he knew he did not have the time for a roof. After way too much time, we joined Angie's List and , coupled with personal recommendations from a few people, went with Kuhn's Home Improvement. We were not disappointed. My husband is very picky and exacting, and he was pleased. Not only did they do an excellent job with the work and clean up, they were very pleasant to work with. Just a side note, my husband wanted some kind of gutter leaf catching thingy that I was supposed to go to Lowe's and get. I did not have time to do this and when I went out to tell the guy that I didn't have time to get it, he said he would pick it up on his lunch break, and he did! We would like to have an outside entryway built and my husband said he would not mind them doing it, they must be good because my husband is usually redoing jobs he just paid for and vowing never to have anyone work on the house again, not thinking about what else he can hire them to do!

Description of Work: Called for a quote on 6/19. They came out the same day and took measurements, sounded knowledgeable and made some good suggestions. They sent a quote on 6/22 that appeared competitive. However, I had asked for dimensional shingles and I found out later that their quote was for lower quality 3 tab shingles. That took them right out of contention. They hadn't quoted on what I had asked and they hadn't told me that they made a lower quality, lower cost (to them) substitution. I used another contractor.

Description of Work: Excellent company!! Called them when I found a leak in our roof. They came even quicker than promised & repaired it on the spot! They were not worried about payment (we were at work and had to have our daughter stop to let them in) and said they would send a bill which was less than anticipated. They also inspected the roof and told us we had 5 to 10 years left in it and there was no sense in replacing it yet. Tom & Jan

Description of Work: Called to schedule an appointment to check out my roof and give an estimate on replacing it. I was told 'we don't schedule appointments, we'll call you the day before we come'. Are you serious?? Do they think their customers are just sitting around home all day waiting for them to come? I don't really understand how they expect to do business when they can't schedule an appointment...I was told his son would be coming out to do the work and he can't schedule his son over the phone. When I asked if I could contact his son directly to schedule an appointment, I got "No". Great....

Description of Work: Our house's box gutters are leaking in various locations. Tom provided an estimate for patching the box gutters to fix the problems. We tried having them patched in the past, but the leaks remained so we plan to have more extensive repair done.

Description of Work: Breakfast nook was leaking, they put down an ice and water sheild, replaced the shields, replaced the gutter, pointed etc. They were very punctual and very nice!!

Description of Work: A roof fan was installed by another company but they didn't hook up the rim correctly. This company came out and fixed everything great. I was very pleased. They also said they would have done the work for much less.

Description of Work: This company relined by gutters and cleaned everything out. They did a great job. I was very pleased with their work. They are very reliable and trustworthy.

Description of Work: Tom came out and inspected an issue we had with our gutters. He was quick to respond and very professional.

Description of Work: Return visit, as we noticed another problem. One of our downspouts had been damaged during ice in the winter, but either had a leak or clog at the elbow joint which we had forgotten about on earlier visit. Also had bird in attic, wanted them to see if hole in roof or soffit and fascia. No holes.
