I thought he was fantastic! I was at work everyday. Without seeing the stacks of shingles in my driveway and knowing the work was being done, I wouldn’t have known they were working, that’s how neat they were. They were done within 3 days. His price was comparable and better than others. They did an excellent job and I have recommended them to people. I would definitely hire him again.

They came in on a weekday, started it early and it was done the same day. We were 100% satisfied with their work. They will certainly be on our list to hire again and I would definitely recommend them.

They were responsive from the bid process to completion of the job. Workers were polite and addressed my questions in a professional manner. They were close to the lowest bid, but the quality and professionalism of the experience was worth a little extra. Yes, I would go with them again.

Tom's company was not the cheapest of the quotes we received, however, the quality of the work, the attitude and reliability of the workmen, and the overall experience made my husband and I VERY glad that we went with this company. After inspecting our roof, we received a quote that was accurate - - we had no surprises along the way that required us to spend more than we were quoted. Each day they came - on time - and cleaned up the worksite before leaving for the day. After they left, we found NO nails, NO old shingles, NO trash or building materials of any kind on our property. They were very respectful of my landscaping and took great care to not trample any of it. We very highly recommend this company to perform roofing services and would hire them again in an instant!

The came the first time and gave me an estimate real quick and it was good, in fact the work matched the estimate. They did everything neatly and cleaned up well after themselves and left it a lot cleaner than when they arrived. The job was done exactly the way they did they were going to do it. They first came to the house and asked me what color and I wanted for the roof and then went out for the supplies and got exactly what I wanted.

The workmen always arrived when they said they would, carefully cleaned up at the end of each day, and patiently answered many, many questions. One of the gutters was in very bad shape, and they worked with us to figure out a solution that stabilized the roof rafters (which revealed a bit of rot) while maintaining the integrity of the roof line. They really went the extra mile--it was great to know we were working on the repair with such knowledgeable partners!

Did a great job. Answered all of my questions before during and after the job and were polite. They finished a day ahead of schedule and cleaned up well at the end.

There was a long delay between ordering the roof material and installation, but I assume that was due to the time to have the materials shipped. Once they started work, they did a good job, and cleaned up after themselves

We were very satisfied with them. It was cold and they kept working up there on the roof and also did a fabulous job. They also replaced 2 sky lights and replaced the gutters. We had leaks around the sky lights and now we have no problem. They came when they said they would and were very polite and did what they said they were going to do. It took some time to get them because they are very busy.

I was extremely pleased with what they did both price wise and time wise. They could get it done the quickest and cheapest of all the company's I checked out. I also had some trim that was never really finished and I asked them to tack up some wood I cut while they were already up there. They were extremely helpful and cooperative in anything I asked them to do within reason. They were very helpful in getting all the little annoyances finished that I had been putting off or didn't have the equipment to do. As long as they were already out there they did these extra jobs free of charge. Most of the other competitor's bids were much higher than their price. We were concerned that often the company with the lowest bid also has the cheapest quality work, but we saw that they had a tremendous amount of positive comments on Angieslist and that is why we decided to go with them. I would absolutely use them in the future and I have already recommended them to others.

They explained what they were doing- they took photographs and brought them down to show me. He was priced reasonably, respectful, easy to work with and I would recommend them to others.

May 2009:Kuhn Home Improvements installed a new gutters on 2 sides of the house and downspouts on one side the house. $1400 Feb. 2010: The big snowfall in Pittsburgh: the gutters and downspouts were damaged and a hole was ripped in the roof. I called Kuhns and they said it would take them "a while" to get to us, but would put us on the schedule. I temporarily fixed the hole myself with some plastic "shingles" I made from corrugated plastic sheets. May 2010: Kuhns shows up and replaces all the gutters (3 sides) and downspouts. I asked them to please be sure to replace with exactly what we had as this was an insurance claim. They assure me they have. $2745 Sept. 2010: Call when the new downspout isn't working - each rain the water runs around it instead of into it. Kuhns comes out to give me another bid, and tells me that they hadn't put the screens on the gutters that had been there before. Another $470 quote. I call and accept the quote and ask to be put on the schedule. Nov. 2010: Call and ask when Kuhns is planning to come to fix the downspouts. I am told that they "forgot to put me on the schedule" and won't be coming out this year at all as they are finished up for the season. Jan. 2011: The downspout is now completely encased in a several-inch layer of ice and ice is streaming down the driveway due to shoddy workmanship and failure to stand behind their work. Big lesson here, you get what you pay for, as always!

The project was not done because I could not arrange an estimate and they seemed not interested in pursuing helping me to get an estimate.

Great customer service from the two gentlemen (not slackers other roofing firms send) who came to do the work. This is an "estate" type home and I am very particular on the quality of workmanship. They were able to re-attach the fallen shakes on the very steep and challenging roof. They also offered to secure some loose shingles that were at risk of falling off, which they did. They caulked and secured flashing that was loose around the chimeny and above the sunroom. They offered to straighten the bent gutter and did a great job. They checked with me to be sure I was happy with the work before they left and changed a piece of flashing when it didn't look right from the driveway. I will give Kuhn Home Improvement the highest rating possible because they are head and shoulders above any other roofer I have ever used!

When I called on Monday to schedule, I was told that the crew proabably wouldn't get to me for a week or two because of the weather. Two days later they were at my house. I wasn't home while they worked, but I did get a call clarifying what I needed done. When I got home, my gutters were clean, and even better, the guys had disposed of the gutter gunk somewhere other than in the middle of my yard, which has happened in the past.

Very professional; didn't even have to be home when the work was done; didn't have to be home for the initial quote either

Great. Found these guys on Angie's List and gave them a call. They were out a day later and checked out the situation. They had to get shingles and planned on coming back another day. That day it rained real bad, they called me early the next morning and they arrived to do the job shortly after. The 3 man team was here for about an hour, finished the job and charged me exactly what they quoted. Everyone was courteous and respectful. Checked my yard afterwards and they cleaned everything up. Also, they left all the extra shingles with me should I need them in the future.

Very competitive bid. Easy to talk with when scoping work. Managed expectations very well. Planned and met start date, maintained budget. Job was completed very efficiently. They ended up repainting the tin roof on our porch for free. Very nice guys.

My gutters leaked during rain and snowstorms, with water dripping onto my home's brick facade. Called Kuhn's in December and they were (understandably) unable to perform the repair during the cold/rain/snow as my gutters are three stories up. During a break in the weather in February, Kuhn's came out and promptly made the repair. The leaks have completely stopped.

It went 99.9% fine. They did a great job, were always on time, worked really hard, did a fantastic job in terms of quality of work and price was about half or less than other bids. The .1% was that on one of the downspout, they didn't put a diverter in to direct the water away from the house. Other than that, it was an excellent experience.

Mr. Kuhn was very responsive once he started the job. He finished the work on time and on budget.

Although it took about one month from the time I signed the contract until they came, they did an excellent job.

It went well overall from start to finish. They were able to go on the roof and find and fix my roofing problems.

They were very prompt. They were very willing to come out and take a look first to tell us if they could do the work, and if they could, when thy could possibly get to it. In the end, they got to it very soon. We were very pleased with the response time. They did also give us an option that made sense and also helped us save some money. We basically used them over other companies because of their good reviews on Angie's List and they have lived up to their reputation.

He was excellent, he was very responsive and he was very professional, the price was excellent and they did a great job on my roof. They do a very high quality job.
