Project budgets are created in tandem with project building and design, so any adjustments or potential problems can be addressed much earlier. Not good like I said
Description of Work: They said that that they could not do any thing for me .in the time I had they showed me the problem but I told them I had slate roof On the phone I told them what I had I had missing shingles About 10 and that what I needed .I knew it would not take anymore time than 2 hours I had paid for they did not perform any work just talking what else needed to be done. They did not call to follow up or offer to come back or give a refund.

The Big Deal that has been provided by our company in the past includes regular maintenance of roofs and gutters and minor repairs such as popped nail holes, loose shingles, cracked caulking, loose gutters, down spouts, sealing of flashings and repairs of the like. Replacement of missing shingles or slate, patching of holes of stature, or any major repairs are not included in the 2 hour maintenance time period that is offered with this deal. That being said, this client did not have any minor repairs or any maintenance that would render the Big Deal useful. This customer should have been refunded the $199 immediately upon this discovery and the lack of refund was a complete oversight from our company. A check has been mailed to the customer’s residence today. We apologize for the inconvenience!

Description of Work: We have an industrial building that we were looking at the potential to convert into a loft space. We worked with Michael to develop a plan to outline the costs of the project based on some basic architectural drawings. Healey was very thorough and very helpful throughout the whole process and we were very please with the worked. In the end, we determined that the project was not a prudent investment at this time given the overall needed investment and potential for return. We chose not to proceed, but our experience was nothing but professional and very helpful. We will definitely contact them again for future projects.

Description of Work: I purchased this on 8/22. I got an email from the company on 8/31 asking several questions about our roof and what services/maintenance would be needed. I gave a very detailed response that SAME DAY and clearly mentioned that we had a few shingles that needed replaced and that was about it. I heard back nothing. For weeks. Finally on Sept 18th I replied to the message and asked what was going on . I got a prompt and polite reply (everyone I talked to at the office was very nice) apologizing that they were overwhelmed with requests and were working on scheduling. They would let me konw in the next few weeks. I replied indicating some times that I would be out of town etc. More time passes. Finally towards the end of September we get a letter in the mail with our date of service (Oct 8th) to be done at 2pm or 2:30pm latest. I also received a voicemail at home and an email. I replied to the email and said that this date/time was fine. But didn't hear anything more. October 8th came. The day went by. Did not hear ANYTHING from the company. 2pm comes and goes. NOTHING. No one shows up at home and no contact is made to us. at 3:22 pm I call the office and mention that the roofer was supposed to be there an hour ago, but we didnt hear anything. I ask about it being rescheduled, they tell me that they are not sure and that it is probably rescheduled because the roofer Mike came back into the office earlier in the day so it's probably moved. She took my message and said she would have the sheduler call me. I also sent an email to the scheduler (Logan) at this time. Logan called me back at 4:51 and was very polite and apologetic. She said she wasn't sure what happened and that Mike the roofer would definitely be there the next day. Oct 9th: Mike came around 1pm. My wife explained to him that we have a couple leaky spots that could use some maintenance and that they need patching. Mike became very irriated with her and said that shingle repair is NOT covered by this deal. He said he would check the roof and patch what he could with cement, but nothing could be guaranteed because the roof was in horrible shape and it was not his company that worked on it. After 30 minutes he was done and said that he patched some spots, no guarantees. He mentioned that the roof was poorly constructed, told us that we overpaid for our house and that it would be over 10K to get a new roof. 30 minutes of work to tell us that our original request could not be fufilled. EVEN THOUGH, I sent a detailed list of what we were interested in on August 31. If that was not covered and beyond their scope, it would have been prudent for them to email us back or call and say "sorry this particular type of maintenance is not covered by this "deal" we will refund your money and thank you for your time." This is not what happened. Instead they wait 1.5 months and do not respond to my email list mentioning replacing 1-2 shingles. Then they no-show us on their scheduled day with NO contact about it. Then they show up and tell us they can't do anything, we paid to much for our house, and that nothing they do is guaranteed (which I can understand). SUMMARY: Positives: Office personnel were very polite, and responsive at some times. Mike did explain what was wrong with the roof and what was needed to fix it in detail. Negatives: Deal was not clear what maintenance was. But even if not, when we sent detailed list of request 1.5 months ahead of time, there was PLENTY of time for them to figure out that we had the wrong idea and it could have been refunded in cancelled. Instead we get little to no communication on what is happening, then we get stood up on the day of the appt with no contact, then the person who comes gets grouchy with my wife when she explains our needs. I know it is not their fault that our roof is in bad shape, but if they bothered to ask us all of these pre questions 1.5 months ahead of the appt why did they wait until the day after the appt was supposed to happen to tell us that our $200 was not buying what we thought it was?

Description of Work: They never showed up and I think they still have my money. I was asked for my credit card information when I accepted the coupon offered through Angies List. It's been a month. This is terrible and I trusted Angies List and accepted their coupon. So now I'm wondering about how good is Angies list?????? If they are so backed up they should inform me. They can't even give me an ETA.

This member purchased a Big Deal coupon on August 29th. He was contacted by our office staff on August 30th at which time we ask questions pertaining to his particular needs in roofing. Our office staff also explains the process we take to adequately attend to all of our customers’ needs. In order to make a Big Deal successful for our clients and our business we must schedule in groups. This Deal is worth $420.00 and we are giving it to our clients for less than half the regular price. A letter was also sent out to this member with further information on September 20th. This standard letter introduces the roofing team that will be attending to the specific client’s home as well as suggesting some things to notify us of should the client have certain needs. This letter also gives the timeframe in which we will be scheduling their particular area. I have personally called this member and am awaiting a response so that we can work out this misunderstanding. Should he request we refund his payment we are more than willing to do so. I sincerely hope however, that we are able to provide the service he purchased, since I know he will be pleased with our work once completed.

Description of Work: I bought a Angies big Deal for a roof inspection/repairs. The company was very slow in getting the job done--almost 2 months from purchase date (it had been raining alot). I had to call several times to get a response when they would be performing the service. They finally gave me a tenative couple of days they might come. We have a new home only 7 years old so there was little maintenance to be done. I arrived home one day to find the men on my roof--I have no idea how long they had actually been there. They showed me some pictures of the work they did such as resealing and hammering nails back in. I was disappointed that the one thing I did need to have fixed they didn't have time for that day. They sent me an estimate for the job--- $500 to replace 20 feet of ridge vent--which seems overpriced. I'll be getting some other bids for that. I really wish they would give some sort of appointment time so you could discuss what you would like to have done rather than what they want to do...
