He arrived promptly and got to work. I didn't notice that the flapper had to be replaced until he showed me how bad it really was before he got to work. He fixed everything in a timely fashion and was very pleasant.

They came exactly on time and did the work in only about 5 or 10 minutes. I thought they were a little expensive. I used them because I saw a coupon for them on Angie's List, but when I called them I couldn't use the coupon because my total wasn't enough. They did do a good job.

He came on time, he cleaned up and the sewer opened up. It was about half the price I normally paid. Everything has worked fine. He gave me some tips on cleaning one of the lines. So it was a great service.

Terry's group did work for us a few months ago. They replaced our outer sewer line from the house to the main line due to roots. Things had been going well when we had another back up. We called Terry's who came out and realized the lines under the house were also infested with roots. Terry cleared out the pipes as much as possible and got us into working order again. He gave a quote for the work to be completed to replace all these lines. We decided to get other quotes as well. We did not end up using Terry's for the rest of the work. He was responsive for the original problem.

Added extra charge to replace toilet that they removed in basement bathroom to install back flow valve on water meter. It is in a tight space next to commode but think replacing toilet should be covered with charge for that part of the job since it all was part of the repair inside of the house.

The work that they did was good. They do the job right and I haven't had a problem with it or anything. They were professional and everything looked good.

I called a big-name highly advertised company to clear a clogged drain on 12/30/12. They could only send the serviceman on 12/31/12 who could not open the drain with snake determining that the block was beyond 60 feet from the garage. His supervisor then tried to open the drain through a vent right behind the back-wall of our property. He claimed that could not go through the trap area of the pipe and told us that it would require digging a 10 feet by 10 feet tunnel to replace a 10 feet drain pipe including the trap; he would then need to send a camera in and they may still find another block in the drain. The cost, a whopping $11597! I then talked with his manager to try to get the price down, without success. I called Terry?s Plumbing that evening. The owner/plumber Terry Mertz listened to this situation calmly, told me that the quote for this job was outrageous and said that he would come over next morning on the New Year?s day. He arrived on time at 9 AM and again calmly said that he would first try to open the clog. He got through the backyard trap successfully with a similar snake within an hour and cleared the clog at approx. 60-70 feet. Total bill $289; I paid him $300. He did not find anything about this block unusual. What the big-name company came-up with was a scam. They would have dug our backyard, replaced the drain pipe and then found the real block, cleared it and got away with a very expensive unnecessary plumbing job that was never needed. The technician was on time and finished the project in less then twenty minutes. We were surprised when the bill came for $189.00 for that short of a time, even taking into consideration travel time. Since we needed this done quickly, we had not gotten bids or estimates. Also, when my wife asked if there was a discount for using Angie's List, she was told that if she didn't have a coupon in hand then there was nothing. The work was done professionally but the price was disproportionate. WE would use the company again, but only if we got an estimate before hand.

My wife threw in a load of laundry and when she went back down to put the clothes in the dryer she saw dirt and water on the laundry room floor. My son-in-law has a snake, he tried to open the drain, but his snake wasn't long enough so we began calling plumbers. It was Sunday around 4 pm. I called 3 plumbers before Terry's. One didn't answer, one could come but not before 9 pm, the third would come for $250 for the first hour and $95 for every hour after that. Upon the recommendation of my daughter, I called Terry's. They quoted me a price of $189 to open the drain, $89 if I waited until Monday. My wife didn't want to wait as every time she used the kitchen sink, the water level in the basement rose. She was afraid of the mess we would have after using the shower, bathroom etc. Sunday night and Monday morning. The plumber came at around 5:30, opened the drain and was on his way.

Prompt service, fair price and very punctual. Price was the same as quoted, they removed the old heater as well. I would use Terry's plumbing again.

Two days prior to Thanksgiving our gas was shut off because of an apparent leak from the curb service line. I had reached out to several companies for help. Terry took my phone call and came out immediately to inspect the problem and offer an estimate. I had received two prior estimates over the phone and Terry was quick to match the quotes. Within the hour he had a team and equipment show up..perform the excavation, replace the service line and wait for the gas company to inspect and approve the work. The team was courteous and professional. The work was completed within budget and I was happy with the immediate response. I would use this contractor again. Larry K

electric snake to clean roots out of sewer pipe made sure drain was cleaned by flushing water thru drain ,drain worked well. charged exactly how much his ad quoted. very good

I called our home warranty company to complain the issues and they referred me to a plumbing which is not covered under my home warranty for Faucet repair and that plumber estimated the whole set upward of $700... then I decided to find another plumber through the Angie's list, called Terry's plumbing on Friday and spoke with a very nice lady who asked me a couple questions about the problem,what brand the faucet is,then explain what they charge... really helpful to set up an appointment on Monday, she called me eariler before send a plumber, the plumber (Rick) they sent out was very skilled and pleasant to have fixed the problem of two parts need be replaced,he was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain, this is a quick fix in 30 minutes, total charging for $170. I will be using Terry's next time, thanks!

It was great. A year later and we are still very happy with our bathroom!

My water heater died on a tuesday night. I called Terry's Plumbing. They are available for 24 hour service calls, but since my water heater was so old, we agreed that a new one would be the best option, rather than attempting a repair. Terry and I talked about the size and shape of the one we had, and what our hot water needs were, and we decided that the new 8 year, 40 gallon tank was the best option. He offered to send a crew out at 8am the next morning to install a new water heater. They arrived promptly, and were very friendly and professional. They got right to work, and had the new water heater installed in about 2 hours. They made sure that the area around the water heater was clean and dry before they left. They described the pilot light igniter and controls to me, and the warranty. The Rheem professional water heater is a little nicer than what you'd get in a big box store. I will definitely use Terry's Plumbing again.

Since we were going on vacation before they could fix our leak, they helped us figure out how to turn off our water from the street while we were out of town. For the minor problems (leaky faucet), the plumber who did the work was very helpful to explain everything he was doing and what I needed to do / not do to keep things working. One thing that I really liked about them was that I always got a call the day of the scheduled appointment to let me know when they were coming. The price was fair and the work got done efficiently.

Late on Friday afternoon my floor drain in my basement started flooding and the sink in the laundry room was stopped up. I called Terry's Plumbing after reading the reviews on Angie's list, and the nice woman who answered the phone said she would try to get someone over. Within about 10 minutes she called back and said someone would be right there. When he arrived, he came in, looked at the situation and quoted me a price. It matched what his office had quoted me so I told him to proceed. He snaked out the line and got the water flowing again. THEN he mopped the floor with Lysol so it wouldn't smell so bad and poured the soapy water down the floor drain to get rid of its odor. All this within an hour of his arrival. He was very polite and showed/told me everything he was going to do. He then left me some information regarding a procedure which would prevent what happened that day.

Would have liked the grass planted and land leveled and settled a little better but overall we were very satisfied.

Bob came out and looked at what I wanted to do and then worked up a price and sent it over to me. My husband and I decided to move forward and gave them a deposit for the work. Bob and Jaime showed up on the agreed day at the agreed time in the morning. During the removal of the old fixtures and cabinetry, we discovered a few extra things that we didn't expect such as ceramic tile repair, moving water feed lines and no electrical box for the light fixture (yes there was a wire hanging out of the wall and wired directly to the light fixture). The guys figured out how to overcome each of the obstacles, I had spare ceramic tile and grout to use, and they did the complete tear out and construction part of the job including cutting the drywall out, doing the work, and then replacing and repairing the drywall. We painted that weekend and Bob came back Monday morning to install everything. The powder room looks wonderful and we are very happy with the quality of work performed. An added bonus is that Terry's didn't mind that we went and bought all the new items for the bathroom ourselves and they installed it for us. Other contractors requirement was that they wouldn't install if we didn't buy the item from them.

The leak was actually inside the wall between the 1st and 2nd floors. To make the repair, the plumber (Rick) had to cut into the drywall. He was very careful in how and where he chose to cut the wall. Rick chose to cut through a closet wall and he took the time to explain how I could buy some trim and turn the cut panel into an 'access' panel. That makes sense since this is a main line between the floors and would be a likely location for any future repairs. It will be easy for me to replace the panel without anyone even noticing the work was done. The actual repair of the line also went well. Rick took the time to explain what caused the leak and how the new parts would be much better than the original installation.

They were a bit expensive but were prompt and came when they said they were going to come. They would not be my first choice anymore but I probably would use them again in the future.

Overall, he got the clog out, but he told me lies that I would need to rip up my yard and pay 4000$. Not going back to Terry again!

Overall everting went well Original call, plumber came out checked and discovered we did indeed need new hot water heater.Called his company they brought one that day, he installed it While in the garage he discovered a slight gas leak, brought it to our attention, he fixed that Few days later we discovered leak in shower off bedroom.Called them, someone came out and gave us both sides of the situation. Extensive repair or if we ar lucky, just a cartridge. I called the manufacturer got name/ number of the cartridge needed. Terry's picked it up. Plumber came out and we were fortunate, that was the only thing needed, cutting of the marble or that sort of repair. Would I use them again "CERTAINLY"

Excellent!!! We originally called Mr. Rooter who unclogged it enough to allow the water out, but told us that there was still a blockage and that they needed to dig to replace the pipe and that it would cost $5000. I had Terry come for a second opinion. He used his camera and far better and more durable equipment than Mr. Rooter and found that the collapse was 20 ft from where Mr. Rooter found it. His estimate was $2800. Terry did not charge for the initial work. The next day they brought in an excavator and began digging. They were good guys and very professional. They also took care of all of the permits, inspection, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend using them for your plumbing needs.
