Streak Relief

John was very responsive to my message and quickly returned my call. He was at my house within 24 hours to assess the project. He started by finding out what my needs and expectations were and was very willing to work with me in any way to make those happen. I had leftover stain from the previous job which he was willing to use and adjusted the price accordingly. The initial day went very well. He was punctual. Did a very thorough job cleaning the deck and preparing it for the stain. When it came time to apply the stain it was disappointingly slow. Until the day of completion when they started early, I was beginning to feel like I was getting tacked onto the end of the day as a "side project" if time allowed as opposed to being the day's focus. Granted there were some weather related issues however after an isolated short rain shower early in the morning, work was stopped and not started until at least the next day and often 2 or 3 days later. Relatively meticulous attention was paid to the lattice work railings however when it came time to stain the actual decking it was done with a wide roller and much less attention was paid to the corners and sides of the boards leaving obvious missed spots in various places around the deck. Unfortunately I was at work and unable to point these out at the completion of the project. When they were done I found a bag of their garbage sitting beside my house in the middle of the driveway which seemed relatively unprofessional.
