Their work was excellent. SCC used a diamond floor sander to grind down all the loose concrete. I had been concerned about the dust that would result. Their sander and the connected vacuum system collected all the dust and none entered the house or was deposited in the garage. The damaged concrete was then resurfaced with a fast setting concrete and ground smooth. The floor drain was replaced. Then two coats of an epoxy were applied along with colored flakes. Phil, the owner, was very accommodating in scheduling so that I could coordinate rental of a storage pod and then to clear out the years of accumulated stuff in the garage.

Phil and his crew were great. Phil came out in person to estimate the job--he got back to me in email within a week. Phil was so busy with other customers I had to be flexible to fit into his schedule but I didn't mid since it gave me time to clean out the garage. Phil's crew came out for a total of two days. First day was prep (grind concrete, fill cracks, caulk seams) and 1st coat (epoxy), along with decorative/non-slip flakes. Phil arrived separately and supervised too. Second day was installation of new drain cover & paint around that area, clean excess/loose flakes, and apply second coat (polyurethane), plus caulk any outside seams near the entrance to the garage. Phil collected payment later in the week and inspected. We kept off of the garage floor 3 days and just walked on it. We waited until 7 days later to move things back in and park cars in garage. Looks great, hope it holds the moisture out--so far so good...

I chose SCC due to a good review on Angie's List and because the business is also in the south hills of Pittsburgh. It took a while to get an estimate and to get the job scheduled. I attribute that to how busy they must be. This wasn't a problem for me. I am very satisfied with this service and the work that was done. I feel that the price is in line with the quality. The owner, Phil Scisciani, came to give the estimate and came again for the follow up inspection after the job was finished. The workers were prompt, polite and professional. Really couldn't ask for more there.

Phil and his crew were great. My wife and I are both Architects and we have a very special house that needed a special team to finish our front patio and back deck. From the first time we talked with Phil he gave us all the information we needed to get the job done right. Our front patio has a utility room below so we needed a water tight seal. Phil had a great solution for us. The back deck is made out of concrete and also needed a waterproof membrane along with a nice finish. They scrapped down the old paint and leveled areas that were low. Phil sent us many color samples so we could get just the right color and texture for our house. They scheduled the days and were on time. Cleaned up at the end of each day. Overall did a great job and provided a great service for us.

We appreciate him taking this small job and helping us out. Phil is an honest business owner who stands by his word.

It went great. His staff is nice and he's fabulous. The floor looks like a show room and I'm very pleased with it. I would recommend him to anyone. They won't be sorry.

Phil and his crew arrived on-time as scheduled. We learned that Phil's daughter was in labor at a nearby hospital. We appreciated Phil's dedication to the job even though he was about to get a new grandchild! Phil and his crew were extremely professional and worked hard. The electrical cord they were using in our garage got fried due to it not being able to handle the amps from their grinders. Phil purchased a new, better version for us as a replacement! We are very happy we hired Specialty Coatings and Consulting, Inc to epoxy our garage floor and look forward to enjoying it for years to come! We now have to paint our garage walls because our floor looks so good!

The existing floor cracks were opened and filled with a Polyeurethane caulking. The work will be finished in early spring. He was very prompt in contacting me. The estimate was received and the date of service was discussed. The company is very professional and efficient. I would highly recommend them.
