Sears Carpet Cleaning & Air Duct Cleaning

The two technicians were very friendly, very efficient, and very knowledgeable. Price was very reasonable and the cleaning was much better than the high-priced companies.

The technicians arrived in a timely manner and went efficiently about their work. There was a slight issue with removal and replacing registers. There was an incident with making a hole in the adjacent wall next to a register.

Very well. Punctual and professional. Got right to work and had no issue with removing the latticework on the side of my desk to get underneath and clean the lint out of my dryer vent which snakes around my basement.

We're moving into a new house and after the previous owners moved out we realized the carpets were really dirty. I called Sears and they were able to squeeze us into their schedule. The team didn't a great job getting the carpets cleaned.

They were not very professional. I think they came later than they said they would. When they left, they said it would be dry in 24 hours. So I had to walk on it, and I had my socks on, and it sopped my socks wet. So it took a good long while, probably three days for it to dry. No fans, because they told us it was going to be dry in 24 hours. It was after we moved in, so we wanted all the carpets to be cleaned. It was a deal. It was not special pricing, but they still have deals like that on Angie’s List. That’s where I found them. I found them on Angie’s List. I would never use them again, ever. I do not know what this wetness, I’m sorry. I just did not care for their attitude. We had also checked with the realtor. She had used Sears on some of her homes that she was showing. She was very pleased with the job. So, it may have been this one person. We had to wait a long time. They were here on time, well, I don’t know if they were here on time. Maybe I am just coloring everything brighter. It was a while ago, so I think they were late. Never, never, use them again, which is a shame because we had used Sears when we lived in Michigan, all the time. It was two workers, but it was the main guy who was wielding the actual carpet cleaner.

They were a good company and they were in and out really quick.

Were able to schedule appointment quickly, came on time, worked efficiently, gave helpful warnings about vents that had been painted over and might chip when removed for cleaning and were able to skip ones that I did not want to take that risk on. Yes, they're more expensive than the deals you see for cleaning, but all costs are listed from the start and there are no surprises in them completing a thorough cleaning.

It was a freebie. It cost my $31 because I had a freebie thing. Their normal prices are not bad at all. They explained what they were going to do very well. The carpets looked wonderful afterwards. They actually took photographs of before and after. It was almost embarassing of how dirty the carpets were before. I felt they were very good.

Good work but cost added up quickly because of size of house and number of vents. Also significant charge for cleaning furnace blower and coils

After receiving two bids that were totally out of our price range, we called Sears Air Duct Cleaning in Sharpsburg. Their quote was less than half the rate of the others, but we were told they would inspect some potential add-ons when they arrived that could add to the cost, items that had been included in the previous two bids. They offered to come out that same day. When Adam and Zach arrived, they performed an inspection and told us we didn't need any of the extras. We had missed three ducts that should have raised the price, but they told us they would include them. It was a cold day, and they kept the front and garage doors closed to the extent possible. They worked rapidly and professionally, explained everything they had done, thoroughly cleaned up when they were done, and told us we were good for a minimum three years. We could not be more pleased with their work, professionalism, friendliness, and the value of the work performed. Bravo!

It seems they did it very quickly so I kind of questioned how clean it was. It was a good price, a special they were running. I thought they were in too big of a rush. I scheduled online and they came when they were suppose to

This was a $99 big deal purchase. There seemed to have been some sort of scheduling mix up and I ended up waiting all day for them. They were supposed to be here between one and four p.m. and did not get here until 7:30 p.m. They said they were running late. They said they did not get the call until 4:30. I was moving so the technicians were nice enough to say I could go and they would lock up, and they did that. They reported that back to Sears and Sears is giving me $200 credit for my next experience. This is a new house I am moving into and I am packing and everything so this was just such a waste of time for me. They scheduled it for me and offered me a Saturday, which I did not ask for, but I took that. They charged me an additional $89 to clean the sofa and chair. The technician told me he would scratch guard everything for free. I guess he did that, I was not there. I have used Sears before and I have never had this issue with them. All of the people tried to make it right. They could have refunded it rather than just giving me credit.

Hi experience with Sears Carpet cleaning service was in a word: terrible. The service crew did show up on time to perform the service. They move around furniture, and generally put protective pieces of plastic underneath the furniture legs when moving them back into place. However, in our living room, they put wood furniture they had moved back onto the wet carpet (without the protectors), and the stain from the wood bled into the carpet. The crew admitted they had made a mistake, and they tried to remove the stains, but they would not come out. They reported it to their manager, and the crew told us to wait until the carpet dried to see how it looked, and then call back to have another crew come out to try to do spot repair at a later time. My carpet was in very very good condition and did not have any marks on it. So we went in with clean carpets, and came out of the experience with stained carpets. A week later, another crew came out to try and do spot repair. They tried as they said the most powerful spot remover stuff they had, but it did not work. They called their manager while they were there, and said another manager would call us shortly to discuss options. I never heard again from Sears. A manager did not call me. I called once, left a message, and did not get a response. I called a second time a few days later. I actually spoke with someone on the phone. They looked at my record and could see the issue, and told me a supervisor would call me back shortly. Again, I did not receive a call back. I cannot get Sears to respond to me and deal with this issue. My recommendation is to use someone else. They clearly do not stand behind the service, and run and hide when there is an issue.

The workers were punctual. They got the job done quickly and left my carpets and sofas looking significantly better than they were when they started.

It went well. The scheduling process with Christine was easy. I had to reschedule once and was able to get the very next weekend. Steve and Sean arrived within the window they promised. They called first. They were courteous to me and respectful of my belongings. They did an excellent job and since I've vacuumed no stains have reappeared. They did offer additional services and I opted to have the stain guard applied. All in all I have no complaints. I would use Sears again for carpet cleaning.

The guy from Sears Home Services came within the 4 hour window provided and was polite and professional. He found a faulty ice-maker unit and had a replacement in the truck. With a swipe of a credit card, he replaced the ice-maker and that was it. No complaints other than it was a fairly expensive part.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They did a great job. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. I didn't pay any additional. The place smelled great and the carpet looked brand new. I wasn't there when they did the work.

The technician for AE made multiple visits to my home to repair ice maker /water dispenser in my refrigerator. With each visit he did not cover his shoes and tracked grass/dirt on my white tile, he asked for a ladder to work on wires he could not see on top of the appliance and constantly commented that he had other jobs to do. The first and second visit we provided a ladder for him. Finally, on the last visit my husband asked him, "Doesn't Sears provide you with a ladder?" The technician then became agitated, went to his truck and came back with a ladder. Every comment was short and made us feel like he was wasting his time in our home with every encounter we had with him.

I had to pay for it due to warranty only being on the tank & heating items. Still had to have a 3rd repairman to replace pressure regulator on house, and set it, and the hot water tank still discharges from pressure relief valve. Frustrating.

I wouldn’t use them again becauase I would like to see if someone could use a different technique. There were some spots on the upstairs hallway, landing, living room and TV room that they couldn’t get out. Their prices seem comparable to others. The people were pleasant and they did they did they best they could. I didn’t have any problems with scheduling and they came on-time. I would still use a different company in the future.

I bought a house from someone who had a lot of cats. I couldn't even go in to paint because I was constantly sneezing and my eyes were watering. I decided to go with Sears for a full air duct cleaning. The two technicians arrived on time and were dressed in a Sears uniform. They were both professional and proficient with preforming the job. They went through the steps of what they were going to do and afterwards it was explained to me what all allergens and debris were removed from the ducts. Also that this isn't something that will need to be done unless we do some heavy renovation or have multiple pets. I have recommended their services to quite a few people and have heard all positive feedback. I got a great deal from using Groupon and my total price came to about $120. It was worth every penny and I could tell a tremendous difference in air quality.
