ROBERT DELL'AQUILA PLASTERING

Robert and I communicated using messages through Angie's List. He was able to accurately quote the job through the pictures I sent to him and we then made arrangements for him to come out and do the job within 10 days. He brought a helper and they finished both areas in about two hours. The surfaces now look FABULOUS. He gave me explicit instructions to wait for it to dry at least five days before priming and painting. He and his worker cleaned everything up and left things very neat. Robert's ability to match the surrounding/original surface texture is astounding. It's very clear that his plaster repair experience is deep and he is well worth the price, which I believe to be competitive for the work he performed.

Robert first arrived for the estimate on 7-27-2015. He looked over the damage, asked a few pertinent questions, and then gave me an estimate. As the estimate was about what I expected I asked if he could schedule the job. He chose Tuesday 8-4-2015 as that was good for him and I knew my wife would be home. He completed the job in an extremely professional manner in about 2.50 hours including clean up. After it is painted in a few weeks I doubt you will be able to tell if there was ever any damage in the first place. Very good work and I would certainly recommend him to a friend.

Robert was very professional and responsive. Where he made points with me is he discovered the badly fixed plaster around a lightswitch behind the open door and did a great job of fixing it at a VERY GOOD price since they were already there. Non of my job was standard. The house was built in 1929 and the wall board was unlike anything he had ever seen so he had to bond the skim coat to the wall board. And then try to match an unusual texture used on the original ceiling. The damaged wall section had to be broken out and the bracing added to joist so we had a place to fasten a new switch box and the patch wall board. His helper had good carpentry skills and did the bracing and I knocked out the old work and changed the switch box while Robert was doing the ceiling work. Then Robert Had to match very heavily textured plaster work. Roberts work was quick, properly done and the room was clean when he left. The only hint of imperfection is that if you look closely there are places where the texture doesn't blend in seamlessly with the old work. I can barely see it and I know where to look, but if your are restoring historically important plaster work this could be important to you.

Robert and his co worker arrived on time and completed the work as agreed upon. Cleaned up work site and had no problems at all. Very professional and would recommend.

I can't say enough good things about Robert and his team. We bought a house built in 1905 with all plaster walls that were in terrible shape. Robert made our walls look like they were brand new. He removed textures, repaired huge cracks, areas of water damage, replaced entire walls, and filled numerous holes left by our electricians. His prices are extremely competitive and his work is impeccable. We recommend him to every we know! We had him and his team over 4 times and they were always extremely cautious about keeping mess to a minimum and cleaning up when they were done. Just absolutely fantastic.

We called Mr Dell'Aquila on a Monday and the work was done by Wednesday. The work was great and he cleaned up perfectly. We particularly appreciated his keeping us updated on when he would arrive. Polite and nice work crew.

Robert was extremely professional and responded quickly to my call. He was able to come within a few days to give me my estimate and schedule time for the work to be completed. He arrived on time and got straight to work. He was very upfront and gave good insight on the condition of my ceiling. He even noticed a piece that had not come down but should be fixed and was able to provide me with an additional cost to fix that as well while he was there. His work was amazing. Once he finished you could not even tell any part of the ceiling was replaced. AAA++++ I have used him multiple times in my home as it is mostly plaster walls and always have been amazed at the work he is able to do. Would recommend him to anyone.

From the moment that we had first contact, Mr. Dell'Aquila was very responsive. We had a couple of calls and send him some pictures of the problem for which he quickly replied with an estimation. After that we schedule the job for the following week. He came to my place as agreed and made the repairs within a couple of hours. Both repairs look great, as if nothing had happened in the first place.

I spoke with Robert on the phone. He came out very quickly and at the time stated. We identified the areas of concern. When I had questions regarding the scope of work, he came back out to clarify. We set a date, and length of project, both of which were met. Robert and his team performed a significant amount of work very quickly. Our house was mostly empty of furniture when the work was performed, but Robert and his team took care to protect the furniture that was in the house, and cleaned up after the work was performed. Additionally, we had other contractors in the house performing various other repairs, and Robert worked well these people. Robert understood our goals in the project, and went above and beyond to make those a reality. Robert is pleasant to be around, is a team player, and is fair. I would use him and his team again.

Robert was very flexible with our crazy schedule. On the day he came to do the work, he called to let us know he was on the way. The hardwood floors were carefully covered with thick brown paper, then padded drop cloths. The old plaster (?) and tape were scraped off and the cracks were repaired. Robert explained that a totally smooth finish on the ceiling would take more time and increase the cost, so we agreed on a textured ceiling. The ceiling is beautiful, but it was amazing how closely they matched the texture of the walls that were repaired. After we had received the initial quote, we had a leak in the kitchen ceiling and some damage we caused in removing a baseboard. Robert took it all in stride and repaired everything we added for just $100.00 additional. Frank, who repaired the kitchen ceiling did a fantastic job. The only indication that it has been repaired is that it is totally white and needs to be painted to match the ceiling color. Robert explained everything they were doing as the repairs were being made. Everything was cleaned and wiped down when they were finished. They were all pleasant and accomplished professionals. We have already planned to have him come back for additional jobs.

BOB CAME OUT WEEK BEFORE TO GIVE ESTIMATE...SAID IT WAS RELATIVLY SMALL JOB WE AGREED ON THE PRICE AND HE SAID HE WOULD BE OUT NEXT WEEK ON SATURDAY TO DO WORK HE CALLED THE DAY BEFORE AND SET UP THE TIME FOR 9-9:30AM HE ARRIVED ON TIME GOT RIGHT TO WORK AND WAS FINISHED IN ABOUT AN HOUR INCLUDING CLEANING UP IT'S REFRESHING TO SEE OLD TIME SKILLS AT WORK... OLD PLASTER AND NEW PLASTER BLENDED IN PERFECTLY WOULD REFER HIM TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND HAVE HIM AGAIN IF WE NEED.

I called Robert on Thursday for a quote and I sent three pictures to him which he then quoted me $450 to do the job. I said deal and he was here the next Tuesday - less than a week which is crazy. He was punctual and got the job done and even reinforced the woodworking underneath since it had been damaged by the water and rotted out over the years. He stuck to his quote of $450 and was finished that day. The job looks great and after a coat or two of paint, no one will ever know there was a leak. I was extremely pleased with his professionalism, puctuality and overall work. I would recommend Robert in a heartbeat.

Our painter, who we have used before multiple times with excellent results(but with a different plasterer) commented that he was having a lot of problems getting paint to adhere. It was as if the plaster had not been finished off correctly. When asked about the problem Mr. Dell'Aquila asked "are you sure you're using a professional painter". He was aware that we were having a painter follow him. The job was done in one day whereas other quotes had stated 2-3 days which was our experience with the other plasterer the painter was used to following(he did not have time in his schedule). Mr Dell'Aquila was done in one day which makes me wonder about the amount/quality of finishing work that was done. This ended costing us more time spent by the painter and therefore more cost. Penny-wise/pound foolish?

They did a terrible job. They didn't blend it into the rest of the ceiling, so it was all different textures. When I called him, he said that he was the painter. It turned out that his son was the painter, but he did a good job. The workman that was plastering didn't do a good job.

Mr. Dell?Aquila was prompt and professional. He quickly responded to our request for an estimate and rapidly scheduled a date to perform services. He plastered a hole in our wall left from damage due to a leaking radiator that I thought would be unrepairable. He matched the plaster pattern expertly and left the space tidy and clean after the work was complete.

Mr. Dell'Aquila was prompt in returning my first phone call the same day. He gave me a very fair estimate to have the ceiling seam cracks repaired. He showed up on the scheduled day and completed the repair. His work blended in with the existing plaster and looks beautiful. He matched the ceiling pattern perfectly. Mr. Dell'Aquila is very efficient, punctual, professional and a skilled craftsman. I would highly recommend his services.

Both the owner and his assistant were polite, professional and worked hard. Arranged for repairs to be done during warm, dry period to ensure complete curing and drying. Cleaned up all debris, from carport rook, window sills and driveway. Made sure that I could access my garage and car for my business when needed. Were punctual and called if there were any changes to anticipated schedule of work. Excellent works, dependable.

Work was done quickly and professionally. I had a hard time finding someone that would actually show up when they were supposed to and then come back and do the work. It was done quickly and it looks great. I would definitely use this company again for any work that I had that needed to be done. I am very happy with the work and how well the plaster matches the original (house was built in 1957). Thank you!

Brought a highly skilled and experienced team of himself and four others because there was a lot of furniture moving out and back to be done as they went from room to room. Challenging job as ceilings were 8 ft, 11 ft and 21ft high. All of them were problem solvers and meticulous perfectionists. Worked well together on coordinated tasks and aided/assisted one another as needed to make for a very efficient job, completed in 2 days. Robert was flexible as some additional work beyond the original inspection and bid was needed. Superb job. Great team. A pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend and hire again if needed.

(Robert had done previous plastering work for me in Jan. 2014. I live in an 85 year old house, and he had repaired all of the movement cracks, in addition to a leak bubble in the dining room. I was pleased with that job as well.) Recently, a huge hole was left in my living room ceiling as a result of a plumbing leak repair, I called him again. Robert responded to my call within 24 hrs. We set up a repair date, which he apologized when he needed to reschedule one time. He arrived on the new date scheduled and completed the job in less then two hours, along with one helper. He covered/protected all surfaces and cleaned up afterward. Robert is an experienced plasterer, I would recommend him!

He matched the the texture perfectly. Three people came to do the work and it took about 6 hours. They left the area neat when they finished. I was very pleased he had a great personality and did a fantastic job.

From start to finish, dealing with Robert and his team was everything you hope to receive in customer service. The initial setup to give an estimate was simple, he was very prompt in his returning my call. We met that same day to go over an estimate and he was able to fit me in his schedule the next week. His team did an awesome job, fixed two areas that looked like garbage and they were fun to have around. Very personable people and good workers as well. They cleaned up everything and the two areas look new. I will definitely use him and his crew again when I need plastering work done. Also was helpful giving some tips and advice in other areas of the house that need work done.

It was a wonderful experience. They came on time, set up and did all of the work and the most important part was their clean up. Not one piece of plaster, paint or anything was left for me to clean up after them. they also made sure that I knew that when I painted I would need to use Kill and then 2 coats of paint. They were very helpful.

When everyone was busy he made time to come over and give me a quote The day he was going to do the work he called to confirm and arrived on time. He fixed the cracks and plaster over the repair. He blended with the ceiling and you could not tell the difference. At the last minute l asked if he could finish the same repair my brother had started. He said he had enough time to fit it in. I was so happy to have him finish what my brother had started. He did an excellent job.
