ROBERT DELL'AQUILA PLASTERING

First of all he answered my voicemail within 2 hours. Scheduled the job 2 days later and showed up on time! Matched the detail of the existing plaster perfectly and cleaned up ...no mess. He gets it!! You call to have work done, he commits, shows up and does a great job at a fair price!

He did a very good job. The price is good. He showed up on time. They did a nice job. They matched things really well. He was very polite. He said what he was going to do and did it. They are on Angie's List and from my perspective, it was earned.

I left a message and Robert called me back within an hour, so I appreciated the quick return of the call, I told him I had two 4" diameter holes to repair as well as a small area adjacent to a recessed light. He told me that it's a pretty easy repair, but he has a minimum charge of $175. I was having furntiure delivered in my living room and I told Robert I would like to get the work done prior to the delivery. He said he couldn't promise anything, but he would do the best he could. Well, Robert finished a job early on the other side of Pittsburgh and asked if he could come over and do the work. I was able to meet him at my house within 30 minutes. It took him and his helper maybe 40 minutes to finish everything. They put out several drop cloths to catch anything that might fall (and it did fall) and swept the carpet afterwards. They were not able to match the texture of the ceiling; that was a little disappointing but not a surprise. But, the texture was done well enough that no one would notice unless I called their attention to it.

Punctual and professional. Completed work on due date and cleaned up well. Would definitely call him again.

I was impressed with the quality of work performed by Robert's crew. My front steps had a broken corner and were stained with rust. Tony Baker was the lead and did a fine job of repairing the concrete and matching the color of the resurfacing material to the house. The steps look great. I had several damaged areas with the exterior stucco on my house caused by a water intrusion issue . Tony modified the the roof run-off to help mitigate future problems. The damaged stucco and wood trim was replaced and painted. The color was matched perfectly. Another job well done. All work areas were cleaned up. I would certainly hire this crew again.

He did an excellent job of matching a textured ceiling and made another minor fix on a smooth wall. He was punctual for the estimating visit and for the actual job. It was a very small job but that did not seem to matter, he treated me like a big customer. He cleaned up to the point that I did not have to do additional cleaning. He was not the cheapest person around but you get what you pay for and I will definitely use him again and recommend him to my friends.

Bob was very punctual with returning phone calls and provided an estimate within 4 days of initially contacting him. We debated the extent of demolition that the repair work needed, with Bob arguing in favor of saving me money. I was skeptical, but Bob knows his trade, and the end product came in under budget and with less mess than a larger tearout would have entailed. The job took him (with a second plasterer) a bit over 3 hours to finish, and they did a nice job of cleaning up. They offered to mop the floors for us, but since we're doing more work on the fireplace we declined. The quality of the finish was excellent and the patch work matches the existing wall/ceiling very well. One note - you're paying Bob to do a professional hard plaster finish, not a joint compound skim coat. His prices should not be compared against "tape and mud" style drywall work. It's hard to find contractors that do traditional plaster work, and if your house has old school plaster it's worth paying for a quality job.

robert was great! i called him on a monday to set up an estimate for that wednesday and the work was completed on a thursday! talk about reliability! he was professional and on time! the work was done to our satisfaction. we had a rewire of our home done the week previous and needed to have a bunch of 4-5'' holes plastered throughout the upstairs and downstairs. robert came in with another employee and got the work done fast and efficiently. i couldn't believe how outstanding everything looked afterwards. I would defiantly recommended him to anyone wanting to get plaster work done throughout their home. i would most certainly use him again in the future for work!

We had a leak over a small part of our roof last August which caused a portion of the ceiling to collapse. We had the roof repaired and hired Mr. Dell'Aquila to do the plastering. It was an area approximately 4 feet by 5 feet in a small second floor hallway. Additionally, we a large crack in the ceilng on our third floor landing. Mr. Dell'Aquila returned my call promptly, arrived on time to give me the estimate, and arrived with his crew at the appointed time to do the work. The second floor ceiling was replaced and the third floor ceiling reinforced and plastered over.The work was done beautifully and quickly. Before leaving both areas were dusted and vacuumed.

All aspects of working with Robert were more than satisfactory. He was extremely prompt in responding to phone calls and then worked with us when we had problems with our schedule. He was extremely accommodating, pleasant, efficient, and skilled. Gary assisted Bob on this job and we were also very happy with his work. The final product, a smooth plaster, is beautiful. The quality is excellent. The patch work on various walls throughout the house is great also.

My experience went very well. The staff was professional and knowledgeable in their field. The pricing was reasonable and I would recommend this company to others.

Excellent workmanship and professionalism from start to finish. 3 workers completed the job in one long day (8a-5:30p). Job was quite a lot of work so I was impressed with Robert's speed/efficiency as well as the price. Some people say plastering is a lost art - well not with these guys. The finished product looks great! We plan on using Robert again in the near future for another project!

He did wonderful work! He communicated with smoothly with the insurance company, and overall everything went well! He had to match the ceiling to the wall and you cannot tell the difference! This was hard work considering the age of the house (it's very old), and I'm very happy with the outcome. The work he did looks beautiful, and I'd highly recommend his services.

From the time that I first contacted them, they returned my calls promptly. They also made arrangements to give me an estimate, perform the work and did that all the time that they told me they would. They did a very good job with patching our ceiling and matching the texture to the rest of the ceiling. There was no sanding so there was no mess. We were very please with their work.

showed up on time and went right to work - was very thorough and corrected areas that were not seen when estimate was given - did an excellent job and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards and also gave me good advice on how to paint over the areas that were plastered. Great experience. Work was started on time. Mr.Dell Aquila explained how cracks started in house. Team was very professionals and knowledgeable. Wife changed banister design and team didn’t hesitate to install what she wanted. Beautiful. Would recommend this company – highly !

Everything went fine. The workmanship is excellent and the price was right. There was no gripping drama and we were happy with the result. This the third time I have tried to finish the evaluation. Please let it go!

Have used Robert before and knew he did good work. He is not cheap, but then again, you get what you pay for, and to me it is worth paying a little extra to get the quality work Robert and his crew put out. We had several large stress cracks in the plaster ceiling of our living room and had recently pulled off baseboards and shoe molding to put in new flooring and found huge holes in the plaster in both our dining room and living room. Robert and his crew work efficiently, protect your furnishings and do excellent work. It is virtually impossible to tell where he did the repair work on the ceiling that he blended in with the near 70 year old ceiling. The ceiling crack he fixed for us in the dining room five years ago is also virtually indistinguishable from the original nearly 70 year old plaster work. He appears to be one of the last true craftsmen and he is timely and responsive to boot.

The job was performed professionally and on time. The men he brought with him were all very polite. They sealed off the kitchen so that dust did not go into the other rooms of the house. What dust was on the counters was also cleaned and the floor was swept before they left. I would highly recommend them.

They should up reasonably on time and did the job quickly and very nicely. He charged less than the original estimate. The wall was textured plaster so we were concerned about matching the existing wall, but the match was great. No mess was left behind.

Robert Dell'Aquila Plastering was very easy to work with. He does excellent work. His clean up afterwards was excellent. There was nothing left for us to do after he left. We just had to wait until the plaster cures and then paint it. He came out and gave an estimate. He was here when he said he would come. When you're trying to schedule people, I think it's important that they show up when they say they will. He's relatively close to where I live. I'm outside of Pittsburgh, so I didn't want to bring somebody from 50 miles away. He was more like 20 miles away.

I had water leak through my living room ceiling from an upstairs bathroom which required a large hole being cut into it to identify and fix the plumbing problem. After that was settled I needed the hole in the ceiling fixed and Bob was very responsive and came out on a weekend to take a look and give me an estimate. We were able to quickly schedule the repair work to be done the next week and he and another guy were able to do the work and it looks great.

The service we received was excellent. They were professional, prompt and extremely talented. When the work was completed, we were so pleased with the quality of the work. Their attention to detail was amazing. The walls that were repaired looked brand spanking new. The amount of work that was done was all completed in one day. They had a crew, a crew chief and operated as an organized team. Fast and Efficient. Everyl bit of dust, debrie was completely cleaned up.,and then we were ask if the clean up met our expectation.. Because of their busy schedule we had to wait for our appointment. Now I know why they are in demand. It was well worth the wait. Waiting for the best is always worth it and this was no different. When you find a company that takes pride in the work they do, goes above and beyond to exceed expectation, you want to tell all of your family and friends about them. While we do not easily give recommendation, this company earned an A+ from us.

Robert called to make the appm't and time. Was prompt with his assistant (Greg).Went right to work. Completed the job, cleaned up after themselves and left. Would gladly refer them.

Robert did an excellent job. The damage was extensive and there were different ceiling types, rounded, smooth and swirled. In each case he matched the previous plaster perfectly; you would never know they had been patched. In addition, he was punctual and a pleasure to have around. He and his assistant worked hard and finished, what was extensive work in 2 days.
