Rick Page Quality Landscaping

The retaining wall was great, mulch was ok. The bare yard next to the new retaining wall was seeded with the cheapest grass. When it started growing, it was crabgrass and looked terrible, and still looks terrible. After the bushes were removed from in front of the porch, I asked them to put river rock there. It is not completely level in that area, it slopes downhill sharply. His employees hardly used any of the black material under the stones; this was done in March, and by the time May came around, tons of weeds were growing up through the rocks. Looks terrible. I tried to contact Mr. Page by calling, leaving messages, sending pictures, but never heard back. I am very disappointed in the quality of the yard work. It really looks bad. The wall is fine. I definitely would not use this company again for any yard landscaping. Seems like they only want to provide quality work on expensive homes.

We contacted Rick on a Friday or Saturday, he did a walkthrough on Sunday morning, and was able to complete the work the following Thursday. His crew arrived first thing in the morning and everything was done with care and to a high standard. No complaints and very reasonably priced. Very helpful and mindful of any other issues that might come up that you may not have thought of.

Rick made several key recommendations for the project, provided a competitive estimate and set a reasonable target schedule for completion. He and his crew did an excellent job of completing the project on time with excellent overall results. The yard looked great for a family party held this past summer.

Have you heard the saying: "He's a keeper". Well it for sure applies to this man (and his crew). The projects were done exactly to quote, In fact, there was more extras done that weren't even part of the quote. His crew was the best I have seen in a long time. Any and all questions were answered during the project to our satisfaction. Cleanup was excellent considering it rained the two days they were here. Have already scheduled spring projects.

Great! Rick gave us the estimate on a Sunday and was available to do the job one week later. He gave us lots of options after listening to the direction we wanted to go. And I learned a lot about plant names and.pronunciation. He gave us sound advice about our yard and the hillsides, and he gave us a range of options and prices for each option. In the end, we used ground cover and the job is finished now. They worked quickly, efficiently, and neatly. Plus, he's a nice guy who knows everything about plants and landscaping. Great company and people. Great experience!

First, let me say that I had been looking for a Contractor to rebuild a retaining wall for 3 years when I happened to place this job on Angie's list and had a call from Rick Page that evening. Rick and crew did a fantastic job on a retaining wall that needed rebuilt. This retaining wall was all hand labor...no machines could be used due to the topography of the land and I informed Rick of this when I spoke to him. It didn't deter him. We made an appointment with Rick and he came out to review the job the next day. After reviewing the scope of work and explaining to us what he would do, we agreed on the price (very reasonable) and the scope of work to be done. He gave us a date and time that he would be there and arrived promptly at 8:00 AM and he and his crew began work on this project. He rebuilt a portion of the wall with 6 X6 x 8 pressurized timbers then as we had agreed upon rebuilt the remaining portion of the wall with the bricks that had been there. No easy task, as these bricks use to be the foundation for some of the buildings in Pittsburgh before Renaissance II began and had been there since the 1950's so this was not your ordinary brick wall. After the project was completed, Rick and crew backfilled and cleaned up the area to the point where you would not have know that there was a Contractor working there. My neighbors even commented to me on the work that was done and stated how professional and nice it now looks. Would I hire Rick Page and crew again for other projects....without any hesitation I would say ABSOLUTELY in a heartbeat.

He replaced a retaining wall that was 3.5 feet in height and 15 feet in length.with Versa-Lok. It was just one big cement piece and then he dug that out by hand and then replaced it with Versa-Lok. Then, I actually had another retaining wall that was just wood, railroad ties. It was dilapidated, falling down, there was a tree stump that was also helping to keep it up. He dug out the tree stump and replaced everything, but that would be like about probably 3 feet in height and also call it 20 feet in length with new fresh rope ties. He's honest. He listened to what was that I wanted to accomplish in my price range and made it happen.

Excellent! In two days, Rick and his team transformed my yard from one with a rotted wall and crowded, over grown and overhanging bushes to a beautifully mulched and reseeded one with a new great looking wall. They are professional, arrived at 7:30 each day, worked hard, and cleaned everything up when finished. Excellent job.

Everything went great. Rick & crew arrived at 7:30 am and went straight to work. Ricks team are very hard working young men and showed great professionalism. They never stopped to take a break. I am so pleased with the beautiful job they did. They cleaned-up all the debris and dirt that was in the drive way and yard. The job was completed at 2 pm. This was my 2nd time hiring Rick Page Landscaping. He does very good work and is very dependable. I will hire him again :)

The project went great and only took 4 days to do everything! I was expecting much longer, will definitely keep Rick and his team in my contact list for future projects and I would recommend them to anyone. I would also like to mention that I called Rick several years ago to get an estimate and never did anything because I wasn't ready and then called him a second time to update the estimate but was laid off so we put off the project even longer and finally the 3rd time was it and my only regret is waiting as long as we did to have to work done. I will load photos if it ever stops raining.

The team of men that did the work were very polite. Rick Page, the owner, came out to help with the work. Rick is very knowledgeable. I'm a master gardener, so I'm very particular about how the work is done. Rick knew what he was doing and the work turned out great. He went above and beyond the bid and I would use them again in the future.

Rick and his crew rebuilt the wall that I thought could not be rebuilt and made it look new again. They also did it one day. I left for work and came home and the job was finished. My neighbors have all commented on how wonderful it looks. I would definitely recommend Rick Page landscaping.
