Rick Page Quality Landscaping

The quote was fair and the work was done in a day (several guys on the job). They hand dug the trench to minimize yard damage and to prevent removing my new fence. The drain runs from my backyard all the way to a pop drain next to the street (about 90ft). They re-used sod where they could and used peat moss and grass seed to re-plant the backyard (which was a mess due to water build up and mud). That was early April and now you cannot even tell they were there. The yard looks great and the water problem was solved. I waited to see how the drain would handle the spring rains before writing this review. Happy to have a usable yard again!

Rick was very friendly, helpful and full on knowledge. He came within a reasonable time frame to bid this smallish project and took the time to explain what was causing our yard to be soggy and exactly what needed done to fix the problem. Since this was a smaller project he was able to squeeze this in relatively quickly. We had no issues with work performed as you couldn’t barely tell where he ran the drain pipe as he peeled and relaid the sod back into place. He also went above and beyond with his work and you can see the pride and honesty when he and he crew are done. I would highly recommend using his services for any of your needs. We are already planning our next project to use his services!

Excellent! I have dealt with Rick on two occasions - one for addressing a failing retention wall and one for helping determine best approach for treating concrete block garage and basement walls. I am extremely impressed with Rick in every respect. Most importantly, Rick is professional, honest, trustworthy, and knowledgeable, which is why I highly value Rick's input and feedback. It went great I called him a few times before he did the job because he was very busy at the time, although him and his crew did the efficiently.

I called him on May 4, 2018 and was told there would be a 6 week delay. I never heard from him again.

Rick Page was very professional and even more knowledgeable. He did not try to upsell things and told me what things were necessary that I wanted to get done and what things were unnecessary. I would like to say that my first experience with this company was work that he did at my daughters house and it was exemplary. That made him my first choice. Initially he thought that our outdated wall would have to be replaced by a different block, as ours is no longer available. He saw how disappointed I was and said he would try to repair it. He and his crew did just that in less time than I thought was possible. I HIGHLY recommend him as he and his crew are very professional, get the job done and his price is not unnecessarily inflated. We have already recommended them to a few of our friends. Thank you, Rick, for doing such a good job for us.

Rick called me the same day that I asked for an estimate and was willing come over the next night to look at my situation. A couple of days later I asked him to come over and take a look. In a couple of days he sent me an email with an estimate for both a block wall and a timber wall. I chose the block wall and set a date when I would like to have it done. Rick and his crew showed up late in August in plenty of time to complete the wall within my time frame. The next day at around 4:00 pm my walls were completed to my specifications and to my complete satisfaction. He and his crew were courteous and professional and I will probably be calling Rick for some other landscaping projects in the near future.

Once the work started, it went very well and efficiently. We had a few false starts, but it all worked out. Could not enter approximate cost of service in appropriate box, so I will add it here: $19,500.00.

Excellent job. Rick & Son and two employees replaced a sagging driveway retaining wall with 6 x 8 treated timbers. They arrived on time the morning of July 26. The wall was replaced, the plants behind the wall were preserved, the wall looks good and strong, and clean up was complete. A job very done well, timely and professionally.

I contacted Rick Page Landscaping (based on the positive reviews I read) and made an appointment to discuss restoring/replacing my front yard retaining wall. Because he was so busy, I had to wait a few days to meet with him, but I am glad I did. During our meeting, I found Rick to be attentive and very patient. I explained to him what I wanted, and he listened! We talked about different materials we could use, the process, and timeframe. Rick answered my questions (with details when I wanted), and also made suggestions to help me stay within budget. I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. Rick Page Landscaping was a good choice for me, and I highly recommend him and his company. I plan to have him return for the retaining wall in my backyard!

When my retaining wall fell down after a thunderstorm, I didn't know who to call especially after the insurance company said they wouldn't cover a replacement. By chance, I stumbled upon Rick's listing on Angie's List and read the reviews, which said he did great work so I decided to reach out. After talking to Rick and seeing firsthand the work that he and his guys did (since he's not just a boss man but a worker bee too!), it's safe to say the reviews are right! Not only was he incredibly helpful and understanding to my situation but he took the time to answer all my questions and make sure I was comfortable with all the work that needed to be done. When his crew came out, they worked hard and did a fantastic job with the wall. Once they were finished, they cleaned up so well after themselves, I couldn't tell any work had been done aside from a beautiful new wall! All in all, dealing with Rick was a great experience and I would definitely call him again for any future landscaping needs.

Great. Rick was busy so it took a while to get the job started, but worth the wait. This wall is about 3 ft x 60 ft constructed of railroad ties. Beautiful work, Rick and his crew were in and out in less than one day.

Rick and his crew were awesome! They were on time and worked extremely hard in very hot weather. It looks like we have a whole new backyard! We could not be happier! We highly recommend Rick Page landscaping and yes they were very reasonably priced.

Rick responded quickly and provided a quote in late April. He replied to our follow up emails and adjusted the proposal at our request to use smaller blocks for the retaining wall. We had sought three quotes, one was significantly higher than Rick's, and the other never got back to us. When we accepted the bid he told us it would be six weeks due to his other jobs. After five weeks he got back to us to schedule for the following week, but agreed to delay it a week since we were going to be on vacation. He also stopped by to go over the job again and suggested we mark any depressions in the yard that we wanted filled with topsoil (for no additional cost). Rick and his team showed up as scheduled (actually a little earlier than they said to get a head start on the rain). The job was completed in one day. Everything turned out very nice. The final placement of the stone bed for the shed required installing some retaining timbers for which we paid the material cost but no additional labor. The grass seed he placed on the filled in areas came up quickly (we had quite a bit of rain which probably helped).

Upon first contact, Rick returned calls and made arrangements to visit for a quote and then, when contracted, to get the work done. Once work was scheduled (based on weather and existing contracts) the crew were professional and hard-working, thorough and quick. We checked with a few vendors and this pricing was very competitive for the amount of work completed. They tore out English ivy, replaced some pavers in the path, brought in topsoil to fill some low points in the lawn and then rehabbed all the grass including seeding, rebuilt a collapsing retaining wall, reset some steps, mulched all the beds, and even built a sturdy raised bed for a kitchen garden - all within 1.5 days of work. Rick listened to our requests and honored them. They showed up on time and worked hard. I would recommend Rick Page to anyone looking for yard work. I wish we had more money - we'd do more projects!

I have a small city backyard that needed a complete overhaul. Rick came by within a day to give me an estimate, which was VERY reasonably priced for the work I wanted done. His team completed the job within 2 days and executed it exactly as we had originally discussed. The pavers look amazing and he didn't even laugh at me when I asked him to put astroturf in so I wouldn't have future maintenance. The work was quality and clean and the service was very reliable and friendly. He also worked with my neighbors to gain access to my yard and installed a gate so I now can get in from the street. I'd recommend Rick to anyone needing landscaping work!

I contacted Rick through Angie's list and received a response asking the address of my home. After I responded, I did not hear back from him, I sent another message asking for a quick reply on whether or not he would be interested in looking at the job. He never replied. Tells me something about him. (Guess my house wasn't in the right neighborhood.)

I had a wall that was falling down on the back of my garage. Rick said it would take him 6 to 8 weeks to get there. I did have to wait but it was worth waiting. I figured since he is so good that he was busy. The men were very professional. The wall looks beautiful! Thanks Rick!

Rick came to my home, measured and gave me an estimate and I agreed to hire him. He never called me back. This is unprofessional and I do not recommend his services.

I have had water problems from a hill behind my home and have had several French drains installed, but they never fixed the problem. I called several landscape contractors and they all recommended an additional French drain that would require heavy equipment and possible damage to mature trees. All of their quotes exceeded $8,000. I called Rick and he surveyed the problem and recommended a swale or dry creek bed to divert the surface water, as a French drain could not handle the volume of water coming off of the hill during downpours with already saturated ground. I went with Rick and could not be happier. His crew was prompt, professional, and barely disturbed the existing lawn. A day or two after completion there was a considerable downpour that uncovered a few unforseen problems through no fault of Rick. I called Rick and his crew came back, and problem solved, I was so impressed that there was never a question about coming back right away and making everything right.
