Rick Page Quality Landscaping

Rick showed up on a Saturday morning to walk through all of the landscaping and give his ideas on what should stay, go, get cut back, or move. He also welcomed input from me. He probably would have done anything I asked, but I left most of it up to his expertise. I did ask for a few things to be done that weren't in his plans. After he left, we communicated via email to outline what we were going to do and established the price. I prefer to communicate via email, so this was a plus (he was also available via phone if desired). We set a date and he and his crew showed up on that date and did the work in two full days. The beds were weeded, plants were moved and/or trimmed, and mulch was put down. There was a considerable amount of work that needed to be done. They also mowed the lawn which was unexpected. I was very happy with the work. There were some weeds that started to come back in a few spots, but Rick quickly responded by coming out to take care of it. I didn't need to push him to do this. I think he takes pride in his work and wanted his client to be happy. Other companies probably would have just walked away.

Rick and his partner Brian did a great jop. They arrived at the agreed upon time and date. They had to leave before they could finish because of heavy rain that kept the cement from setting, but returned the next day (fourth of July) to complete the job. The new pump he originally installed failed, but he was out the next morning to replace it. They imporved the appearance of the pond by adding new stones and lighting, and the pond is now working great While waiting for the rain to stop Brian noticed that one of our downspouts was clogged and actually got a ladder and cleaned it out without charge. Rick and Brian are very nice, professional people. They worked quietly (actually had classical music on the radio), didn't damage our landscaping, and left the area clean. I would definitely hire them again.

He was great but his pricing was not appropriate for what he was going to do. He however gave me some other recommendations. He was very helpful and very professional. The first thing he did when he came over was he handed me over a copy of his license and business card. He pointed out some other people who would be more appropriate for the job and also pointed out some other things I could do myself. All the advice he gave me was very useful since it was the first time I had dealt with a contractor or landscaper. He also recommended a tree service for me who ended up taking care of my trees and I was very happy with all this. I would use him again in the future.

We were so pleased with the entire experience. Rick Page came to give us his estimate in a timely manner. He returned with his crew at the time we scheduled. They did a terrific job with trimming the shrubs, weeding, added river rock to parts of the beds and sprayed long lasting weed control. I would recommend this company without any hesitation.

I contacted Rick Page Quality Landscaping to re-sod my back yard and reseed my front yard. He came out very soon after I called and looked at the job. A couple of days after that he provided me with an estimate of the job. I immediately said that I would accept the job and asked when he could start. He said it would be a couple of weeks. Four weeks after that I emailed him again asking when he thought he might be able to start. He said he was still checking for availability of the sod. Four weeks after that I emailed him again and got no response. I emailed one more time and have gotten no response. I would not recommend Rick Page Quality Landscaping just for his lack of professionalism.

He had very good ideas and did good work. My only comment is he suggested times when he would come to do the work and pushed back the time a couple of times. I will use him again in the future.

Rick and team of two others arrived at 9am. They were done in about 3.5 hours and they cleaned up after the job was completed. Exceeded expectations. Very professional.

Rick gave me some options to cut down expense. He also moved an existing plant and cleaned up and existing flower bed and mulched the area. I am very satisfied with the work. I also have an invisible fence and he was careful not to break the wire while doing the landscaping. I would use this company again.

First of all, I let the ball drop and didn't call them back for months after getting the estimate. But that was not a problem for them. They came out and treated it like their most important job. They were there every day for a week. They ran into some unexpected problems but did not take advantage of the discovery. They worked overtime to deal with the issue and never complained. They were courteous and professional and did a great job. I am very happy with the work they did.

I liked everything about them. I called them the second time to do something for me; and, they said they would come and never got back to me. It was a small job that I wanted him to come back and do; so, I was a little disappointed.

He didn't cut down the weeds before he put the flowers in the back. I didn't care for the flowers that he wanted to put in. They are now coming through. I will need him to come back out and fix this problem. The front looks nice. He has allowed me to make payments on this project, which I appreciated.

My wife and I are completely happy with Rick's service and his performance on this job. He is knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and reliable. The job went exactly as he predicted it would, and the result is very pleasing to look at. His pricing is also fair in our opinion. With this happy experience behind us, we are planning to enlist Rick's services again to build a front walkway next year.

Rick and his crew did a fabulous job and it matches the remaining, original stone wall. Again, the finished wall is superb.

From start to finish, this was the best landscaping experience I've ever had, and I would highly recommend Rick Page Landscaping without any reservation. They were prompt, professional and a pleasure to work with. The project was completed in 5 days and the end result far exceeded my expectations. I left the final design to the experts, and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Rick communicated with me throughout the project, so I always felt like I was in the loop. Not only is it absolutely beautiful, but it is quality workmanship that will last for many years to come. I wish I could attach before and after pictures because the transformation is unbelievable. I am so happy with Rick Page Landscaping that I decided to work with them on another project this fall. Stay tuned...

I called and left a message. Mr. Page responded in a few days. I had originally called for landscaping, but when I said that I was planning to extend my deck, he said they do decks as well. That's the work he came to evaluate. We made an appointment for him to come and evaluate the work required. He arrived on time. He was courteous. He took measurements and promised to send me an estimate. I did not hear from him again. I left a follow-up message, but there was no response. The time spent waiting, doing the estimate etc. was a waste. If he was unable to do the job, why not just let me know? If someone is not keen to land my business or professional enough to understand that I value my time, how can I believe that they would do a good job if they are hired?

We had the the french drains installed in preparation of having Rick pave the back yard with stones and install a sitting wall as well as a round fireplace. He is very personable and takes his time figuring and explaining the options. His price was very reasonable given that our property has 17 steps and no driveway access at all - a typical Pittsburgh location. After installing the French drains, rick re-seeded where needed and did a professional job cleanup up.

Rick did a very nice job. He was on time and his prices were fair. He gave me an Angie's List member discount. I called for him to come rearrange something and he came out to fix it.

Rick Page estimated the work and told me he could do it within 2 weeks of my committing. No payment was required until the work was complete. He did the work 4 days after my committing, arriving within a few minutes of when he said he would. The work and clean up were done well.

He came and looked at our problem which was a muddy side yard with dog activity and gave us an estimate for that project. He noticed our retaining wall was starting to collapse and he suggested that while he was there he could re-build the wall. We agreed to all cost and he started the project a couple of weeks later and finished in about a week. Even after I paid him we looked over the project and we thought a few more stepping stones should be added and I came home from work and they were put in.

In April I met with Rick Page Landscaping and he gave me a free estimate on May 1. After May 1, every two weeks I talked to him on the phone to try and see when he would be able to come out to my house. Everytime he said he would be to my house before July 4. I needed concrete on my driveway and also a fence in addition to the landscaping. I was going to give Rick Page these two projects if he would have performed the landscaping services. Rick said that he doesn't have a contract, I thought his word of mouth was good enough but he didn't seem to care what I thought. He said I have one machine down, but never gave me the time of day to tell me of his lack of services. I was under the impression they would provide great service. He even came with a certificate which would tell me he would know what he is doing. Ultimately he is not certified to do the project.

Our front yard was a jungle. Overgrown grass, tons of weeds, overgrown tree. Just a mess. The alley on the side of our house was also overgrown with weeds. Our back yard and parking area needed to have a bunch of weeds removed/killed as well. And some ivy on the side of our house needed to be removed. Rick was very responsive, both by phone and email. He picked up the first time I called and arranged a meeting for an estimate a few days later. On the day of the estimate, he showed up when expected, went around the whole house, listened to what we needed, and made helpful suggestions for cleaning everything up. He got my email address and later that same night emailed me an estimate. Once we accepted the estimate, he got to our job in a week. It took him one day to do the work. When we came home from work we found the jungle was cleared out, replaced with mulch, the tree was cut way back, looks so much better. The ivy was cleared off the side of the house. The weeds were removed. The sidewalk and parking area in the back had been sprayed with weed killer. We're very happy with the work he did and I expect we'll be calling him again in the near future to make improvements to our landscaping and parking area.

I actually went with someone else. I thought Rick was very good. He was pretty thorough. He estimated for two different things, but I can't remember the numbers now. He walked around and looked over the area and gave me an idea of what he could do and gave me the numbers. He seemed very responsive. He came out when he said he would be there. I didn't have any problem with him. I thought he was good. He came right on time. The only reason I didn't go with him was because I actually got 3 estimates from providers and I chose one of the other contractors that I thought was excellent.

Rick was responsive to my first call, came out that day and gave me an estimate. We were able to start the work within two weeks of that visit.

Absolutely wonderful! My vision of a woodland with a rustic pond/waterfall/stream was beautifully executed by Rick. Within a few days my yard was transformed into a "Maine woodland". I was positively enchanted with the entire ambiance of the transformed yard. The work was done while I was at work so I cannot provide details of the process - I can only say that I am totally pleased with the results and would not hesitate to recommend Rick for your landscaping project. Additionally, Rick has returned each year to "tweak" the project and assist with issues related to the pond (I have had no previous experience with a pond and the maintenance required to keep it working properly). Further, Rick will be installing a new tie wall this year (2011) and making other enhancements to the "woodland". I am completely satisfied with the quality of the work performed; I consider that the company name is quite appropriate.
