Rick Page Quality Landscaping

Mr. Page showed up on time, answered our questions, made a recommendation, came back once when we had more questions, and completed the project within the time frame that he said he would. The job was the removal of a crumbling retaining wall and building a Versalok wall in its place. They saved as many plants as possible and connected the new wall to the part of the old wall that was still intact. During the job, his crew worked out a perfect solution to my request for different heights that would work with what I wanted. When we were getting estimates, he was the only contractor who really responded to what we wanted, rather than trying to sell what they usually did or what would be a bigger job. The crew removed some bushes at my request, mid-project, so that I would have more room to compensate for the extra inches of the Versalok. He also recommended the color, which wasn't what we might have chosen, but after looking at different possibilities, we went with his recommendation and the resulting wall is wonderful. The final cost was the original estimate.

Rick called the day before to alert me that they would be there the next day. They arrived promptly in the AM and finished the job the same day.. Peat moss and grass was added and planted on areas disturbed by the job.

They never bothered responding to my inquiries. I was hoping to get an estimate. Did not even respond to at least say they were too busy.

I bid this job out and found that many landscapers could not do all three components; 1)pond and waterfall, 2) stone patio and 3) large landscape. The others wanted to hire subcontractors for various components of the work resulting in higher bids or cost uncertainties. Rick was the only landscaper in the bidding process able to provide all the services at a cost within budget. I knew we made the right decision after the pond and stonework. His crew was professional and courteous. Rick was honest and always indicated where we were at in our budget. He didn't hesitate giving ideas on saving cost or allocating them to the proper area. Also, he had crews that were competent with each aspect of the construction and was never shorthanded. This is always our concern when a contractor takes work from us. But it was not an issue with Page. He is very experienced with horticulture and planting. He provided many fantastic ideas on design, color etc. Would recommend Rick in a heartbeat!

Rick and his team were very professional and had good ideas for solving our landscaping dilemmas. The 3 tear retaining wall with curved steps exceeded our expectations. We will definitely call Rick for our future landscaping needs and highly recommend his services to our friends.

Rick & his son were hard-working and nice but improvements were short lived. Looked OK for my event but sod didn't take well even after partial replacement. Gator Sand didn't hold up well so cracked. Water puddled so stones not level again. Flowers at sides of walkway didn't recover from being sprayed by excess Gator Sand, which could not be washed off. They tried. (If you use it, be sure to cover plants - and mulch. Neither attractive in concrete gray ) And ivy took over gardens again. Nature is hard to control.

They were to be here for a day, arrived on time, finished early and did a good job

I have a Heartwood shed in a difficult location on my property. It is approximately 15 years old and was in need of repair to the wood on the door which had rotted. Also needed painted. It is located down over a hill with significant brush and growth around it. Not to mention wasps! As usual (I have used Rick Page's company before) they gave a great proposal, came on time, cleaned everything up and the shed looks beautiful! Rick Page and Brian O'Donnell have done landscaping work for me before. True to form, their work was top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon from them and I had to pay a little more than that. It went fine. I wasn’t home when they did it.

They fixed my railroad tie wall, fixed cement steps, and patched cement in back. They were very professional, timely and generally very nice people. The work done looks better than I expected and I couldn't be happier.

He was very punctual on the day of service, his crew was clean, and I am happy with the job they did. The price was reasonable and I will certainly give him a call the next time I need this kind of work done.

We were in no hurry so it didn't bother us that it took a few days for him to get back with us. First meeting however, we had to call him as he was 30 minutes late. He had gone to another client's house by mistake. After we spoke, he was at our house within 30 minutes.

Rick was wonderful to hire for our job. We had retaining walls that were over 30 years old that needed replaced. He did a wonderful job rebuilding them with Timber. We also needed the cement steps fixed and lattice placed under the current deck. Rick's team was wonderful! Not only were they punctual but they went above and beyond our expectations. They showed up early everyday and went straight to work. They cleaned up all the leaves, acorns and sticks that were on the side walk...something we did not expect. Amazingly fixed the retaining walls and made them look better then we could have imagined. Rick takes a lot of pride in his work and he only does a job the right way....no shortcuts. He was very strict about doing everything according to code and we love it that he did the job right and affordable. We will only hire Rick and his team for future jobs within his field!! Truly wonderful Landscaper!!!

Rick Page was a delight to work with...I liked that he wanted to preserve any plants worth while preserving...as opposed to racking ,tearing everything down and starting from scratch... He and his team came diligently every morning and stayed on the job until it was all completed...He did a great job, with quality and taste and did it with respect to the land. Cleaned everything up before they left, it took them 6 days to complete the job. Very pleased and will definitely call him for my future landscaping needs.

Rick made a good effort to be professional and do a good job.

This was given as a gift to daughter and son-in-law for their new home. Provider was straight forward with advice and provided landscape drawing plans as provided in the original agreement.

The service turned out really good. I was really satisfied with it. Actually, he called within a day or so after I purchased the big deal and he said whenever. He called to let me know when he was coming, and they even did a little extra. I wanted him to clear out the yard because it had over grown and we just had not gotten to it for a couple of years. They did all that, and they even did around the flower beds. He was very personable. He even told me stuff about the tree that I had on the sidewalk and everything. They did a really good job. I just paid the price for the big deal.

Rick came out promptly to give us an estimate, which turned out to be quite competitive. He informed us that he had several other projects that he would need to finish before beginning on ours. We did sort of lose track of him for a few weeks before being able to nail down a date for our job. Rick and his crew arrived early daily and worked hard for three days to complete our project. As with many projects such as these, there were unforeseen challenges (our steps were in worse shape than Rick had thought originally), but Rick discussed the options with us and we arrived at a solution that would keep us within our budget and him within his timeline. The work was executed well, and the wall and steps in particular look great. The price was also will within fair. The only criticism I have is that much of the work occurred within just a few feet of our house, giving us a front row seat for the ongoing "colorful" commentary of some of his crew. All in all, we're very happy with the quality, speed and price of the work done, and I would call Rick again in the future.

That one went okay. That was the one that I felt bad because the guy was a really nice guy, he didn't everything he would but then I really didn't get anything for my money. He came out, we discussed landscaping, we didn't really get a plan but he did offer a solution array on landscaping services for us. However that landscaping service is priced very high.

Went beautifully! the men worked in the rain (thankfully mild) for awhile, then were fortunate that it stopped. They cleaned up all of the areas on the existing patio as well as on the new patio they created. They worked consistently, neatly, and kept us abreast of what they were doing. They also asked what else might be done! See details above.

Rick Page was very punctual in responding to request for service. met with him soon after contact. very professional in writing up proposal for what he would be able to do. suggested cost savings by using existing stones to repair retaining wall which I very much appreciated. overall his crew did a very nice job and the property looked great.

I had originally purchased another Big Deal for landscaping work to be performed, but that company failed to call me back to schedule an appointment. So the great customer service folks at Angie's List suggested that I try the Big Deal being offered by Rick. Well I guess this is an instance of a blessing in disguise. Rick and his team did a beautiful job on my property. After leaving a message with Rick to schedule an appointment for him to come and look at the yard, he promptly called me back to schedule. Rick was on time for the appointment and very polite. We walked my property and I explained what work I was looking to have done, general yard clean-up, trees prune, mulch and hillside clean-up. At this point most of my yard looked more like a jungle than a backyard, but Rick assured me that they would be able to get it cleaned up and made some suggestions as to how to deal with the growth from the hillside above my property and keep it contained. Since this would only be a day job Rick believed that he could squeeze this job in between other longer projects and felt he would have an opening at the end of the week, but he would call to confirm before coming out. Sure enough that Thursday I received a message from Rick that they had completed their current job that day and they would be out on Friday. When I came home from work and saw what had been accomplished I was in shock. My property had looked that good in years and now 2 months later thanks to the suggestion that Rick made to maintain the hillside brush the property still looks great. I would definitely hire Rick again, without hesitation.
