Rick Page Quality Landscaping

It went very well. Rick gave the best estimate so he had the best price, he did a very good job and was done in 2 days as he predicted. He also cleaned up my back yard and driveway and left it better than he found it.

Rick Page and his crew are first-class all the way! They were always prompt, friendly, in good humor, and they are really skilled workers. It took them about 2-1/2 work days to complete the job, and Rick or his son would check with me periodically to mention their progress or ask me about my preference with some aspect of the job. The whole installation looks terrific! I could not be more pleased! I've been getting positive comments from my neighbors since the day it was completed! I will definitely contact Rick again as any future needs, or ideas!, arise.

All of the work was done quickly, efficiently and with extreme professionalism. Also done with good humor and patience as the tenant's two-year-old son kept trying to "help." Rick is wonderful in estimating, planning and structuring the jobs. This is our SECOND experience with Rick and it will NOT be our last. We've never had such wonderful and satisfying experiences with landscape professionals.

Rick Page and his crew did such a fantastic job that I was lost for words. To my surprise, the job took 2 1/2 days. I have never seen such hard working young men. They worked there butts off. Such professionalism. Before they can start building my wall, his crew had to take down my old, worn-out railroad ties. And that was not an easy job to do, and carry them from the back yard to the truck which was in the front yard. Remember this is a 66ft wall. Once all the old stuff was removed, they started to get the foundation ready for my new steel rebar reinforced finished 40 year timbers retaining wall. All this was done on Monday, June 29th. On Tuesday, my timbers arrived on the truck and his crew had to put them in my neighbors back yard so they could start building my retaining wall. Rick redirected my downspout that will go behind and under the wall and along the side of my house, under-ground to a point in the front yard where the water is released. It rained today and the water was released from the front yard and it worked out great. The retaining wall looks awesome. Today, Wednesday, Rick and his crew cut my neighbors back yard, reseeded, fixed his down spout that was lying on the ground. He also finished the top of the wall and repairing any construction traffic areas in my yard with topsoil and grass seed, decorative red mulch on the side of my patio. Rick and his crew were prompt everyday. Starting 7am to 4pm on Monday, & Tuesday. On Wednesday they came at 7am and worked until they were finished around 11am. They did such a terrific job, I know I will definitely use his landscaping business again. I love my wall!!!! Thanks

I had drainage issues on my property created when the gas company replaced a large transmission line passing through my property. Several landscape companies I contacted, wanted to bring in heavy equipment to dig trenches ( fill with gravel and drain pipe) to dry up the area and route the water to the woods. Because the trenches would be very close to trees and their roots, I was very concerned about the damage digging with heavy equipment would do to the roots. Rick Page was the only company to offer hand digging the trenches. From his recommended approach, I could tell that Rick had a solid understanding my concerns. Rick started the project when he said he would, and finished it on time, There was no damage to the yard other than where he dug the trenches. The finish work was outstanding, fresh dirt was brought in to cover the trenches and spread out, seeded and manure was spread over it. When the work was complete, Ricks crew clean up throughly after themselves, even hosing down the area on the driveway that was used to stage the gravel and dirt. A couple of days after the project was complete, I noticed that there was still a wet spot about 3 feet in diameter. I called Rick and he came out two days later and fixed the problem. Great response and great looking project. Now 2 weeks after the project was completed, the grass has grown in, the ground is dry and I?m one happy customer.

Rick and his crew did a great job. They did exactly what they said they would do, and more. Any questions or concerns we had were responded to immediately. Rick wanted to be sure we were satisfied with everything as they proceeded through the job. We were very happy with the work they did and the dependable way Rick runs his business.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Rick and his team! From the get go, he was quick to respond, professional, honest and most of all incredibly reasonable. The project was completed in the estimated amount of time - the guys were on time every day, polite, and highly skilled in their craft. The finished stone wall is beautiful - it has completely transformed the front of our property! We feel very lucky to have found Rick and will be using him for future projects.

Some of the work was a bit tricky, but Brian figured out how to circumvent a serious design problem. (waterfall and pond was designed by someone who is now out of business). His ingenuity was very helpful and cost saving.

Rick and his crew (a long-time friend, his son, and his son-in-law) were excellent! They replaced a bowing cinder block retaining wall with timber. They were on-time, professional, and worked with our somewhat-tight budget.

Rick was quick to respond when I emailed him the pictures and assured me he could help. He arrived on time and got right to work. He quickly cleared the driveway of not only the blocks but the dirt and debris as well! He did a great job and I would definitely recommend Rick Page Landscaping!

I searched the Better Business Bureau and found good comments about Rick there. I contacted him through the BB website and he responded within a a day or two. he came out and made some suggestions and then he quoted on the the 2 retaining walls. we then increased the project size based based on good discussions with Rick and he also made adjustments to the quote. day 2 status report - good quality work so far, friendly and hard working workers. these guys keep the site clean considering the inherent dirty work involved. work starts promptly at 8am and ends by 3:30pm. so far I am very pleased and would recommend Ricks service to my close friends. i'll give more updates and a final assessment when the work is complete.

Rick and crew did a great job. The bid was very reasonable and the work was done efficiently and with high quality. Rick is not much for formal paperwork but he delivers what he promises and can deal with the complexities of Pittsburgh city lots. I give them my highest recommendation!

He reset a large stone in a dry stack stone wall that had become unstable and moved. I called him earlier in the week, he said he would show up to look at the wall late in the week and he did. Excellent work as promised.

We scheduled Rick a few months in advance of our project and he was always responsive when I wanted to check in. He was also great with suggesting ideas and options for our project as well as pro's and con's. But he was never pushy and was happy to work with us to get what we wanted. His crew worked incredibly fast and was very polite. Everyone was pleasant to my wife when she would leave for work when they were there. I also have a lot of neighbors in close proximity and no one complained about anything as they also kept the project very well contained. I even told him they didn't have to re landscape the area where the new wall was as we are getting close to winter but they still mulched everything regardless and put everything back perfectly. Finally and most importantly to me, Ricks ending cost for the project was exactly what he committed to upfront in his quote. Overall I was very impressed with Rick's responsiveness, quality of work and especially cost.

Rick and his crew did an excellent job. Rick was very easy to talk to and make arrangements with, he was there on time as scheduled. The job was daunting to me, they made it look easy. I know it was a lot of work and he and his crew were very pleasant in giving advice on how to maintain. The property looks 10,000% better and he took a big weight or worry off of me. They were very professional and courteous, cleaned everything up neatly and hauled away. I am VERY happy and would recommend Rick Page to anyone.

Rick and his crew did an excellent job for us. He is very knowledgeable and gave us great advice about our landscape. We recently purchased a very old brick and stone home that needed a landscape facelift and it now looks fantastic. Rick was professional and punctual and his crew worked hard, knew what they were doing, and cleaned everything up well at the end of the day. I was impressed with the hand pruning of the shrubs - they did NOT just scalp them with a trimmer as we have had other landscapers do in the past. We have gotten many compliments from the neighbors and I would highly recommend Rick Page Quality Landscaping to anyone. We will be calling them in the spring to do new plantings where we had the old shrubs removed.

Rick came out for an initial estimate and gave great feedback and ideas on how to renovate our backyard and turn it from a messy cluttered area into a nice open space with grass and beautiful trees & plants. I gave him my budget and he worked around it. He and his team came in on time on a Monday morning and finished the job in the same day. They were very respectful and did a great job! I reach out to Rick sometimes for advice about the grass, weeds, and other items - he is always responsive and helpful!!

Rick's estimate was the middle of the three I got for my 3 projects. He was the only one to really listen to what I wanted and needed for the challenges on my property -- large old maples, steep slopes, lots of sun in front, and fitting in with the existing landscaping and neighborhood. He was very communicative while we settled on the initial contract and was very flexible about making adjustments when the work started. I'm very new at home ownership but had done a lot of research for this to be sure of what I wanted. I showed him photos so that we understood each other well and I couldn't be happier with the results. He and his team arrived on time and were available to discuss details at the start of each day. I was able to be there for setting the plants and stones for the rock garden, and even contributed a couple of stones. They adjusted the colors of the patio stones just a little at my request and their design is just beautiful. They finished the retaining wall, rock garden and patio in 3 days. All of the work was done by hand. I especially appreciated all of the extra things that they did as part of the project that weren't even discussed in the estimate -- repairing an existing stone wall, using 1b stone as borders where needed, moving sod from the patio area to where I thought it would be just seed, making a 2nd rock garden by moving soil from the patio and digging up old stones, planting a tree, and putting soil and seed where my grass had never grown. Rick and the members of his team were also great to give me advice on maintaining everything and planning for things I could do on my own. I am very happy that I went with Rick and feel that I got a lot for my money. He knows his work very well and is really a nice, trustworthy guy too.

My experience with Rick Page Quality Landscaping was wonderful. Shortly after I bought my home one of my stone retaining walls partially collapsed. I contacted Rick Page and he came over the next day to give me an estimate. I had called in the middle of spring, so they were already booked up for a couple of months, but he was very nice and the price was very reasonable so I was happy to wait. My house is up on a hill in Edgewood so there was no way to get industrial equipment up to my backyard, which means that all of the work had to be done by hand. I had a very specific vision for what I wanted it to look like and he was very accommodating. I had no idea how long a project like this would take, but they had come and gone in three days! Rick and a team of about 5 others came every day. They took down and completely rebuilt both stone retaining walls (the other wall had been pushed forward over the years as well, so although it had not actually fallen in, by tearing it down and building it back I gained about a foot of useable patio space). They tiered behind the stone retaining walls with railroad tie retaining walls and mulched the tier and turned it into a rock garden, without damaging any of the plants that we had there already. Behind the railroad tie wall they flattened the remaining sloped yard into useable space and now I have enough room to put in a small stone area on one side and a small above ground pool on the other. The fence was built in a day and looks great. I really can't say enough great things about this experience. The price was great for everything that I had done and it was all done in three days. The contractors were all very nice and respectful, they kept their music at a reasonable level and cleaned up every day before they left, and Rick kept me in the loop whenever he had questions about what I wanted. We had gotten so used to the sloped yard that couldn't be used and the caved in retaining wall that we barely even looked at the back before, and now we catch ourselves staring out of our windows every time we pass it. I would definitely recommend Rick Page Quality Landscaping to everyone and will be using them again in the future.

The service was excellent. He was very responsible and he even came back when some of the plants looked bad and he gave us new ones. He was very courteous and on time. I would definitely recommend him.

We had contacted Rick last year for a retaining wall. Rick did tell me how busy he was. He communicated the whole time with me. Telling me that he was still backed up and if I wanted another landscaper please feel free. I heard he was very good. I am so glad that I waited it was worth the wait. He did a beautiful job. I entertain a lot and all of my friend have commented. I have more work that needs done and I WILL BE CALLING RICK PAGE QUALITY LANDSCAPING. I will be adding a flower bed and a trellis and a wall on the front side of my house. My friends also want work done. I am so excited. more to follow!

We have used Rick in the past for small projects and generally had a good rapport and service and appreciated his input. He has put in a small garden wall and flagstone walkway, cleaned up some garden areas and did some planting. The boulder garden wall he put in needs some minor tweaking to reroute some drainage issues to which he said he would come back and take care of. He never has. We discussed and planned moving forward with a larger scale relandscaping of our backyard. Rick's good natured and is really an all around nice guy, but his communication with customers is lousy. After verbally saying he would do the work, he said he'd get back to us. With that, we thought we were on his project list and good to go. No, that's not the case with him. That was the last time we ever heard from Rick. Weeks turned into months. We left messages, we text, we emailed...no response. Finally, I asked him point blank if had any intention at all of doing the work...no response. The summer came to a close and we missed a whole growing season while all along thinking we were on his radar of projects. So this spring we just moved on, found another landscaper, and are now on their list of future projects. And that's OK, I guess. At least they communicate and periodically send us an email update with where we are on their calendar and when we can expect them to start, etc. It's just frustrating that we wasted so much time. All he had to say is, "I'm too busy to do your project. I suggest you find somebody else." If you want decent work at a decent price and you have the time to be completely ignored and sit around wondering if and when your work will get done, then Rick's your guy. If you are trying to plan a project(s) and one is contingent upon another and you are trying to coordinate several home projects and you would enjoy some professional courtesy and communication, then I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
