The first time around wasn't so bad. It did bother me that he wanted 50% up front. He was constantly asking for money which made me a little hesitant. Whenever I went down to the house after he said he was done I saw that he was no where near finished. He had actually run out of paint and admitted that after I said something to him. He didn't do the job because he didn't have enough paint. Therefore, I felt it was completely unethical for him to ask for full payment when the job had not been completed yet. If I hadn't checked on his job he would have walked away without it being done. The concrete work he did was so terrible. My first attempt at doing concrete was 10 times better than what he did for one of my homes. He tried to tell me he didn't have enough concrete to finish the job---once again. He said that he was trying to get a hold of us to get more but we didn't really have a lot of contact from him. The cement that he didn't finish ended up hardening, which anyone would know that has worked with it before. He didn't do any of the finishing and it looked awful. He tried to tell me I needed to purchase something else to refinish it, which is not true because it was a new cement job. I even told him I would come down and help him. I went to the house on a Saturday morning to give him some asssitance and help him for free and he didn't even show.
Description of Work: I hired him to do some box gutter repair for me and also feather out & repaint the gutters.
