Description of Work: I have a very old house (wonderful, but like any old house, it has issues). This go around, I wanted a garage with an automatic door opener. What they called the "garage" was built for carriages and horses. Small. The six beautiful old wood doors were beyond repair, much too heavy and difficult for me to move, and they accordion folded from the middle to the sides. It was impossible for me to use. I called many garage door companies, and for the most part, they told me it could be done, " but." A door could go in if, I would have support pillars removed (est. $6000), have the garage floor and the driveway in front of it excavated and repoured to level them (many more $$$). After that, the entire opening would need to be reframed. Then we could discuss garage doors ($$$$$$$!!). I had a budget for a garage door, but what was presented would cost as much as a new Lexus. I forgot about it, until I passed a house in town with a metal door that didn't look half bad. So I started calling commercial metal door dealers and finally ended up with Precision. They had a record of my call months previous to this one. At that time, I had cancelled the appointment because I had been advised door installation would be so difficult and expensive. I asked them for a new appointment, the manager showed up on time, took a few measurements and said there would be no problem. And there was no problem. I picked my door, gave a deposit, and he took it from there. Everybody was nice and polite (miserable weather, again), and I now have a very attractive, efficient door. The house is warmer, I can keep my car out of the weather, I can haul my groceries up through the basement. There's a keypad outside and a remote for my car. I am very happy with their kind manners, eagerness to please, excellent product, and flawless execution. Based on my experience, I'd have to say that I doubt I'll need service any year soon, but have no doubt that they will come and do repairs graciously, promptly, and efficiently, which is how they do business.
