It went really well. one day installation. Another subcontractor, Jim did a great job. I can't complain. We brought up issues about township regulations, and he figured it all out. They always respond with information. We even got a couple of other prices, and they gave us the best price.
Description of Work: They installed an 12 x 24 oval pool for us.

tAwful. Bought the pool in May. After a few months I finally got the site inspection. I am not good with measurements and I bought a 15' pool and told them I may upgrade to something bigger after they came and measured to give me an idea of how much of my yard it would take up. After many weeks of no call backs or no updates, I finally got a call that they were coming out. I upgraded to a 21' pool. Weeks later they said they would be out to install on a Monday and I had to take that date or they couldn't tell me when the next opening would be. They said it would be before 9AM and I had to be there for the first half hour (which was perfect because that's when the electrician would be running cable). Well after waiting at home with no call or no answers to my voiceamails, I left an hour after they were supposed to come. I left a few more messages for the installer asking when they would be back and I got a call saying the pool was installed. They said they were there working with the electricians the whole time. I waited for nothing. After the pool was installed I got a call saying basically that everything was done and we were all good. That would be fine if I had a pool before, but I had no idea what needed done next to get the pool operational. After a few unreturned phone calls, I decided to hire another company to come out to get the pool up and running. When they came they said the air release filter wasn't closed so a lot of water drained out and they never told me to immediately put dirt back around the pool. Well it rained hard one night and washed out the sand from under the pool. I got a better company to come in that night and I had to drain the pool and have them redo everything. Avoid Pool City at all cost. Between the store not being able to give me any timeframe of site inspection or installation (I get they use subcontractors but that's no excuse) to the poor after-the-sale service, I will never buy anything from them again. (planned on buying a home bar from the Robinson, PA location but decided pay more and order one online)

After taking them to court we have agreed to a settlement however the process is not yet complete. We have not fully accepted the offer until we see it in writing. This is with the main office in Munhall, PA not with this stoer we dealt through the store located on William Penn Highway.

Purchased a pool from the company's Cranberry Township store. The salesman (Steve) was very nice and knowledgable about their products. Being it was end of season, we tried to get the pool installed ASAP. Steve helped get in touch with the installer so that it could be installed much quicker than normal (Pool City uses outside contractors to install their pools). Installation went well and the people were very nice; there was one slight problem when they came upon an old tree stump they had to remove. Overall it was a good experience, but there are some things you should know before you decide to buy a pool: 1) excavation of the first 3" to make your yard level is normally free, however, each additional inch of excavation from the lowest to the highest point can range from $20-35 depending on your pool size. Considering that hardly any yards are perfectly level, this can add up. My relatively level yard needed 18" removed, which cost me an additional $450. 2) You will need to get rid of any excess dirt yourself. Luckily, my neighbor needed dirt to level out some areas in his yard. 3) Be prepared to dispose of all the cardboard boxes that the pool and accessories come in - the installer does not cart them away. I spent almost a whole day with a box cutter cutting them down to put out with the trash. Overall good experience - would use them again.
