+ -1 moreImagine this, your steps crumble, your home owners insurance happens to audit you at that very time your steps broke ( remember they were cement) and they demand them to be replaced ASAP? Now, to confound that even further, it's the middle of May in Pittsburgh PA, and you can't find a contractor to even call you back, let alone provide an estimate for service. I had called more than 4 contractors that were given to me by friends that had work performed. None of them showed up to give me an estimate, and only 2 even returned my calls. A co-worker of mine gave me Norm's name, I called him, we talked, he came out, provided an estimate and time he could start. He actually started on time, and came in on budget. Now I'm sure he could have chosen to cherry pick the big jobs first, like I'm sure all the other contractors do, but he didn't, and that right there is the difference that set Pittsburgh Restoration & Construction Services apart. I would have no issue choosing them again.
Description of Work: Provider built new steps leading from my front walkway to my porch. The steps had been concrete and needed to be replaced, so we chose wood. These steps are anchored into a footer and are sturdy enough to park a car on. These are not a couple little step runners that were slapped in. These are custom built on site and are over and above specifications provided by my insurance company.

+ -1 moreAsked Norman Edmunds for an estimate on pointing around the windows on one side of my house, that I thought was causing a water leak on the one side of my home. He gave me an estimate for the work. He also gave me a cost for doing spot pointing on the other three sides of our home. He was punctual and completed the work as promised and on time. Very proffesionial, proficent, and did a very great job. Cleaned up after themselves. Pleased with their work. Plan on having them back for other work in the future.
Description of Work: Needed spot pointing work on the brickwork around windows on my home. Spot pointed the entire house and coated the metal plates above the windows.

+ -1 moreThey came when they said they would, they were very clean and respectful of my home and they were careful with my plants and property. He worked with me on the cost as well when it was discovered during the brick work that there was additional and extensive damage to my steps as well. He repaired all of it beautifully and I feel he's been a Godsend to me. One morning I went outside while they were working and the sidewalk was wet. I asked if it had been raining but found out that they had stopped to water my plants. That's above and beyond!
Description of Work: I originally hired him to replace and repair shingles on my roof when it was damaged during a storm. I hired him a second time to do some brick work for me on my stoop.
